Hi all,

Despite all my searching, I have not been able to find a solution to this issue that works for me. When I start watching a youtube video, it plays fine, zero interruptions. However the moment I touch the seek bar, pause the video for a moment, anything that interrupts the playback, I cannot watch more than 2 seconds of video before it will pause as if buffering for a few seconds, play again for a few seconds, pause again etc etc. over and over and over, making it impossible to watch any video at that point. Refreshing the page will fix it, but if I have to use the seek bar to get back to where I was, then the exact same issue will re-occur.

There is zero issue with playback on other browsers, such as chrome or edge.

I have tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration, various codecs, user agents, refreshed firefox, started it in troubleshooting mode etc, nothing has helped.

Is this somehow on me, or is it a bug?

Hi, I have Firefox installed running under Windows 10. I have a number of extensions installed including Firefox Containers. I have had to change my router. When I restart my system with the new router connected to the internet and open Firefox I find that I cannot open any websites assigned to personal containers.

I switched back to my old router and everything works ok - I can open all sites including those assigned to containers.

When I switch back to usuing my new router however I again find I cannot access sites assigned to containers - error message is “Secure Connection Failed”.

I’ve removed the Firefox container extension.

Using my old router I can connect to all websites in the normal expected manner - none show they are assigned to Containers.

Using my new router however I still find that having opened Firefox I cannot access any website previously assigned to a Container. If I use another browser (Edge), trying to open a website previously assigned to a Firefox Container simply opens my router home page.

It would appear therefore that despite having removed the Firefox Container extension, when I boot up and connect to the internet via my new router there is still information stored somewhere on my system which is preventing my accessing websites previously assigned to containers.

How do I remove all necessary information from my system so that I can access all websites?

Thanks for your help

So, here's how CenturyLink responded to my recent "cry for help" (as Rick Astley sang . . .).

I am sorry to hear of the issues you faced trying to find an email address for CenturyLink. There is a known issue with Firefox not working with our website. The best way to access our website is by using Google Chrome and making sure the pop up blockers are not activated. Unfortunately, as the issue is with the Firefox browser, there is nothing we can do to fix that issue.

Well, guess it's time . . . after all these years . . . to rethink my interest in Firefox, eh?

Firefox 101.0.1 (64 bit) causes a false error message about a Java plugin which doesn't exist on my installation. This didn't happen with Version 101.0. On Netdania.com I get "You are currently running a browser version that does not support Java plugins anymore. We recommend to switch to Internet Explorer or Safari on Mac. ". Netdania supports html and is not dependent on Java. I use Netdania.com successfully with the Chrome browser, no Java plugins and it used to work with Firefox 101.0.

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

So I am working on my own website & a couple days ago I got a requested headers too large error. After looking up what that meant, I cleared my cookies & cache but it didn't work. After looking it up more I renamed (added .old) the coolie file in my profile & I thought maybe it worked for a while but then all of a sudden it came back. Now I keep getting the requested headers too large error like every 5 minutes & have to keep clearing cookies & cache every time, which works for 5-15 minutes & then it happens again. Which is more than extremely frustrating when I'm trying to work on my website! And it's only happening on my site.

So how can I fix this for good? Is the cookie file getting corrupted again? If so, how to I prevent that?

I can't find an addon (like Neat URL) that does anything like this, so I wondered if there was anything in about:config or such that might.

At first I thought it was a facebook problem, but the issue started appearing in other places (gmail, youtube, etc). I can be writing something in a comment box, word doc, chat window or whatever and if I select some text and hit copy or cut, the entire browser absolutely locks - can't click on anything or do anything - for MINUTES at a time. There's no CPU, disk read/write, or other system usage spike to indicate what's going on - Firefox just stops and is completely unresponsive for a very long time.

This is new as of the past couple weeks, I think? I hit it once and didn't think much of it but now I'm getting hit by it daily just about because I'm more active on social media, email, and other things lately.

wtf? I have not installed any new extensions in a very long time.
