When right-clicking on the Firefox icon in the Windows task bar one has the option to "pin" items by hovering over an entry in the "frequent" list and clicking on the little pin needle icon (with the hover text "Pin to this list").

How can I pin items that are not in the frequent list? I have tried for weeks to make an important page a frequent one by making sure to visit it daily but it never makes it to the list.

In `about:config` I set `mousewheel.with_control.action: 3` quite a while ago, and today, after an update it stopped working. Current version: `146.0.1 (aarch64)`. Any idea why?

When right-clicking on the Firefox icon in the Windows task bar one can pin entries, which then appear in the "Pinned" section of that menu. The description is taken from the title of the website at that point in time.

I would like to rename one such entry (i.e. change the description). How can I do this? The context menu only contains the options "Open" and "Unpin from this list".

Since my last FF update (140.0.1), every time i open FF it asks me to set FF as my default browser. But when i click the link, the choose default browser does not show FF as an option, just Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. How do i set FF as my default browser? Thanks. I'm using Win10 ver 22H2 19045.6809 on an Asus laptop, if that has any bearing.

When customizing the toolbar, Firefox has a standard button named "Forget" which lets you easily delete browser data (see the attached image).

I'm using this button, but I should like the button to work in a different way. What I want is that everything except from browser history is deleted, when I click the forget icon. It should not be necessary to first click the forget icon, and then "Forget!" (as in the attached image). I don't neither want to restart the browser or open a new clean window

Does someone know how to achieve this without developing my own plugin? Does the standard buttons have some scripts somewhere that can be edited?

I use the Page Info window quite regularly, it used to be accessible via the right-click menu but this seems to have been removed in recent updates. I can still access it via Ctrl+I, but this isn't as convenient as using the menu.

Could you please tell me how I can put this useful feature onto the menu / toolbar as a shortcut?

Firefox is set to restore the session on launch, and that used to work flawlessly. I have two monitors and a couple weeks ago I installed Windows 11, after that Firefox still worked properly. But since I've had issues with the DisplayPort connection for the primary monitor being unstable, this weekend I swapped it to HDMI, reset the primary/secondary monitor settings in WIndows accordingly, and now Firefox won't open its windows on the primary monitor on first launch after windows loads.

I've got three window at the moment, with multiple open tabs in each. Two windows are supposed to on the primary monitor, and one on the secondary, but now Firefox will send all three windows to the secondary monitor. So I move the two windows to the primary monitor, exit Firefox gracefully, give it a moment to shut down properly, restart Firefox, and all the windows are where I left them.

Then when I restart the computer, Firefox shoves all the windows onto the seconday monitor again.

The primary monitor always come on first, and I alway wait to login to windows till both monitors are awake, so it's not like the one monitor is missing. I also have MonitorKeeper (https://github.com/hunkydoryrepair/MonitorKeeper/) which normally works for keeping the windows on the right monitor, but it doesn't work when Firefox launches the windows on the wrong monitor.

All other programs have no problems like this and open where I left them. It only seems to be the Firefox restore session that somehow fails to put the windows in place on first launch of the day.

Hi, new Firefox Win 11 user, new laptop, how do I enable main touchscreen gestures, swipe, pinch etc. All other apps, browsers work, so HW / drivers work. Can't find how on user forums, or in settings.

I have the source set to open in the editor. When I start Firefox with a blank editor open and open the source, the source is not displayed in the editor. What could be the cause?

I want to change my keyboard shortcuts for download page.Before an update my download page shortcut was ctrl+j. But after that update my keyboard shortcut changed ,now it is ctrl+shift+u. How do I fix this

It appears even though I'm not using Firefox's auto-spelling feature. It now appears in the right-click menu. I've never seen this before, so is this a "new feature"? I want to delete it because it is not necessary in my environment.

I use an online text-based website frequently at work, Firefox is my chosen browser for many reasons. One problem I am facing is that when I go to make text bold using the shortcut Ctrl+B, the bookmark bar appears on the side of my screen.

How can I disable this, as it does get in my way frequently, having to close the bar before I continue.

I’m can not get fire fox to be my main not default on my Apple macOS High Sierra i5 ‘I spoke to ur colleague earlier and said that because it’s old it will still work in firefox ——basically it’s an older version and now where it used to say google or chrome it doesn’t say fire fix it says directory utility please help
