Hi, I've been having issues with Firefox for some time now. Every page I got to throws a NS_ERROR_NET_INADEQUATE_SECURITY error. I cannot fix it by setting network.http.spdy.enabled.http2 to false is because Firefox then starts crashing. In the past I've gone around the error by turning http2 off, but recently, first the developer edition, then after today's update to 91.0-0.1 of stable version Firefox crashes if I turn the feature off.

The developer Edition started throwing NS_ERROR_NET_INADEQUATE_SECURITY sometime in spring, then started crashing in June I think. The stable version followed soon as described above.

I am submitting this ticket from a beta version, which for some reason does not have this issue.

I thought it may be the Linux version of Eset, but removing it did not help. I cannot think of any other reason why am I getting those errors, but it seems I am alone because my colleagues don't seem to have this issue neither on macOS, nor Windows.

Restart FF, Settings--> Privacy and Security -->View Certificates-->Your certificates, the deleted cert is on the list again.

The same happens on that under Authorities.

Dear Mozilla Community,

I have problems with one website. This website is poczta.wp.pl. Sometimes this can't be loaded. I see this error:

"SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT".

This is website with https protocol. What is the reason? Other websites works fine. I think that this is not problem with my router or internet provider because I changed both and it is still problem there. I had this problem also on another computer with Windows 10 operating system. I contacted with administrator of this website and they think that all is okay so they suggested me that this can be problem with browser or my computer.

This behavior is very hard to test because this issue is showed very rare. Sometime one time in one week and sometimes two time in one day. I don't know what is going on with this.

Can you help?

I need to download a certificate from a device in my networt called secunet Konnektor

https://www.secunet.com/loesungen/einboxkonnektor

on the manual it's written how to do it.

https://www.secunet.com/loesungen/einboxkonnektor#c1607

I suggest to find a manual somewhere in the first link or in google:

chapter 7.4.3

go to chrome (same with edge)

click on the lock on the left hand side of the link https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8500/management

somehow click on the button where you can open a small windows called "certificate".

The "General" tab shows informations about the certificate.

Click on the tab "Details" and click on "Copy file".

The certificate-assitent opens and after clicking on next, you choose DER-coded-binary X.509 (.CER)

Save the file somewhere where you can find it.

I can't do this on firefox

On firefox I can find a lock on the left hand side of the link https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8500/management

when i click on it and then on something else, i can then click on more informations.

a windows opens called "page informations"

under "security" i click on "view certificates" and a new tabs opens called "certificate for konnektor".

but there is no possibilty to download a cer-file. only a pem file and it doesn't really help me.

I can see the url is there as listed by firefox error itself (verify with screenshot 1), the url is "https://192.168.1.100/api/validateLogin"

please see the screenshot as well. First screenshot is for the error, second is for the certificate returned by the website and as shown by firefox.

I recently updated the SSL certificate for my business. My Firefox browser indicates the certificate is "not secure." When I navigate to my website using Bing, the SSL certificate shows as being "secure." I'd like the SSL certificate to indicate it is secure using Firefox browsers. Is there something I can do so that when someone lands on my website using Firefox it will correctly show that it is a "secure" site?

Thank you.

Hi, We currently connect to a vendor devices admin page that is inaccessible via Firefox because of the following error "Secure Connection Failed" (Error code: SEC_ERROR_INADEQUATE_KEY_USAGE) and won't present the option to proceed via the "Advanced" option. Long story.... The vendor is aware of the issue and as the configuration page is always accessed internally and uses TLS in some form they do not want to allow us to make any changes to uploading our own certs.

Anyway recently I was made aware of a keyboard shortcut to force firefox to bypass the error screen and force a connection, however I have not been able to find it since on the Shortcut guide for firefox. Can anyone provide me with this shortcut, It will save having to switch between multiple browsers.

Thanks is Advance,

Greetings. I can't open most sites I usually visit (even google.com) via my Firefox 98.0a1. This happens since today. All error codes are SEC_ERROR_LIBRARY_FAILURE.

Tried to:

  • Disable DNS-over-HTTPS.
  • Disable HTTP/3.
  • Disable proxy (never had it enabled anyway).
  • Disable sending info to Firefox developers.
  • Change settings of DNS-over-HTTPS.
  • Restart the browser (after each action).

Nothing helps me... But I still can visit some websites, but most common resources are not working for me. Please help me because I can't use Microsoft Edge without getting mentally ill. :/

Hi,

Firefox is displaying this message: Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to l.mail.people.com because this website requires a secure connection

and does NOT let me continue... HOWEVER, if I copy n paste the URL (https://l.mail.people.com/rts/go2.aspx?h=16465956&tp=i-1NHD-9U-36Hb-1OjSfX9-Hv-5EjIU-1c-Xmrj-1OjOLzQ-l78hyiHVom-1J3ttn&x=6b160f0f640ceeb5fd6f8fe1a3284d4886844914%7c739139%7c20220211%7c021122%7c739139%7c79459191515) to a DIFFERENT browser, there are NO issues with it.

Why is Firefox complaining and how do I tell it to STOP?

I am getting a Secure Connection Failed error on every website I try to log into on my laptop. The issue is not occurring on my desktop or either of my iOS devices under the same login account. I have tried every "fix" I can find through the FAQ's and through online googling, nothing has worked. I don't have any conflicting apps or security features that I can find. I have tried purging the history/cookies, un-installing and re-installing. After a re-install the websites will work for about 5 minutes then I receive the same Error message. Please help!
