I'm running 145.0.2 on Mint Linux and Windows 11...

Like many other users, I have an issue in which roughly half of the icons representing bookmarks on my Bookmarks Toolbar have been replaced by the black+and+white icon of a globe. The links work, but because most of them are now the same, it means I have to hover over them to make sure I click on the link I want.

I've tried: Exporting all my bookmarks to HTML; deleting all bookmarks; re-importing Deleting the "favicons.sqlite" database and letting Firefox recreate it Creating a new Profile and importing all my bookmarks "fresh" in to there

Not only does none of this seem to work, the results are actually inconsistent.

This problem has been kicking around for years - certainly for many major releases of the browser. I understand that there could be deep/complicated issues such as a corrupt user profile, for example...

Unfortunately, however, there does not appear to be any consistent or reliable effective advice on how to fix this issue... and nothing I try seems to resolve the problem.

I'd be very grateful for any recommendations on a reliable repair for this issue.

But I'd also be grateful for suggestions as to how we might go about suggesting to the devs that this long-running bug is overdue a permanent fix.

I need to be able to place bookmarks in bookmark tool bar. this is what it say: For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar. I tried with Yohoo news it wouldn't stay.

See the attached image: I have sub-folders Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, and Other Bookmarks all within a folder called All Bookmarks. The first two are empty, every single one of my bookmarks is in the Other Bookmarks sub-folder. I can't delete any of these folders. On which planet does this make sense?

The "All Bookmarks" super-folder should have all the folders in the Other Bookmarks sub-folder and it's three current children should all be send to an orphanage.

Any way to accomplish this? Obviously the folder names are unimportant (At least to me).

bold text I have been given a new firefox and this is so far out of what i need that i am about ready to call it quits -- where is my toolbar? All i have is some bookmark nonsense that has nothing to do with me or what i search for --

1) How do we change the default location for bookmark saving (without having to go into about:config, which we should only want to do for very out there things. Of which choosing default location for add bookmark is not that) 2) How do we make it not only 3 folders when location is clicked (why can't I scroll through all my bookmark folders and click the correct one without having to click choose first. This is a waste of click. Or at least give us the option to start in the choose... UI)

Previous version, if I added a new bookmark, I would be presented with options on Where(Folder) and Tags. This is no longer offered, and bookmarks are just added to unknown within bookmarks Q. What has changed, and how do I get this option back?

Dear sir, I am facing an issue with bookmarks on Mozilla Firefox. The bookmarks are not showing properly in the browser.

Hello Firefox Support (long-ass time user) and I wanna give a big shout out to EVERYBODY who's contributed to this kick-ass browser. You are all unsung hero's and preservers of privacy and human rights. THANK YOU! Just wondering if I'm wrong but: 1. After I save a group of Tabs into a Folder then open them all later the stars are not filled in like when I save individual Tabs 2. Is it possible to Remove a Bookmark in the group of Tabs with no filled in stars? 3. If it is not possible do you have any alternative suggestions to grant the ability to save a bunch of tabs, opening the whole group later and deleting which ones I don't want to keep while perusing through them?
