Have been using Firefox 133.03 on Mint 22 Cinnamon for a couple of weeks now, but I have a number of randomly missing favicons in my bookmark toolbar. I have extensively googled the issue and tried pretty much all the remedies I could find: just click on the place holder icon to refresh, delete the bookmark and place it again, use the Checkmark extension, check the integrity of the favicon DB, delete the favicon and places.sqlite files, clear the cache. Doing these things repeatedly and repeatedly restarting Firefox, I could claw back a number of my icons, but now things have stalled and there a quite a few holdouts that refuse to update. I'm also using Firefox on Windows without these issues. Would appreciate some hints as to how to further troubleshoot this.

Using Firefox version 134 (64bit). When I click "Bookmarks / Manage Bookmarks, the listing defaults to the "Other Bookmarks" folder. I would like it to default to the "Bookmarks Menu" folder. How do I make it do that? Note: In 2023, I used a fix submitted by cor-el that modified autoconfig.js and autoconfig.cfg and worked very well, however in Firefox v 134, it no longer works

I switch from Chrome to Firefox and imported all my "bookmarks". How do I view all the folders I had in my Chrome bookmarks? If I click the >> at the top, the bookmarks are not listed the way they were on Chrome, and I can't find the numerous folders of bookmarks that I had set up. In the saved links that do show up in the list, I see hundreds of links but they are unorganized. An outdated folder that says "Imported from IE" shows up in the list several times, but it's not the list I had on Chrome. Help ;>)

Bonjour, depuis le 17 décembre 2024 mes marques-pages sont sorties de leurs dossiers respectifs, tout est mélangé, c'est à dire les marques-pages et les dossiers, je n'ai rien fait pour que ça se produise, pourriez-vous résoudre ce problème rapidement, s'il vous plaît, merci beaucoup, car c'est très compliqué pour m'y retrouver, tout est désorganisé !

It has re-occurred to my Firefox Browser of the latest version of 115.18.0 with some websites I have recently visited however which has appeared 8 grids of blank or white pages again under "Recent Activity" as attached with the image for your technical troubleshooting suggestion.

Those 8 grids of Recent Activity in the older version of Firefox browsers used to have shown colorful graphics or images representative of the recent websites I visited in the recent past.

May I know what I am supposed to do to recover those graphics or images?

Kindly offer any suggestion or solution?

i had a snuffleupigus mess with my hard drive during an upgrade, and had to install a new drive. i still can access my original drive, just not boot from it. this means with my new install i cannot open firefox to back up my old book marks but can find the book mark file. how can i restore these bookmarks using the actual file? no it's not an html file as far as i can tell. i wound up upgrading from win 10 to win 11 so the versions are slightly different

I have several HP dc7900 desktops all running Firefox ESR 64 Bit. I am trying to take my windows "FAVORITES" list and add it to FireFox "BOOKMARKS" list. I've tried everything but can't seem to get there. I remember several years ago dealing with this issue on one of my other computers however, after a brain aneurysm and 2 major heart attacks, being 70 years old, my memory just doesn't exist anymore. If anyone knows the secrets to this task, you'll be my best friend forever! Thank you so much for your help. Please be detailed and list the steps 1......2......3.....4.......etc. I'm not that computer knowledgeable so the easier the better.

hi i cant find b/marks folder that i know is somewhere i ff bookmarks. all i have is its name [dont know whats inside it] how can i find it thanks if anyone can help

My Firefox Version is up to date & I am using a 2019 iMac.

Recently tried to save a bookmark. When I clicked on Bookmarks, Bookmark Current Tab, a window appears, as usual, which allows you to save a new bookmark to a specific location (folder in My Bookmarks). I could not find the folder I wanted even though it was listed under the currently open window in My Bookmarks. In addition, I could not save the new bookmark to appear in My Bookmarks.

Note: most of the Bookmarks shown in the location selection window did match the My Bookmarks list, but not all of them

Have never had this issue. Any suggested fixes?

/edit bump: moved thread from Firefox for iOS (for iPhone/iPad) to Firefox section as you have macOS.

I have tons of manga I keep up with and I separate them by category but this creates a lot of folders with a lot of entries. I want the bookmark panel to be a side panel so I can drag and drop updated bookmarks as well as having all entries in a folder be visible when browsing bookmarks.

That last part is the most important so I can quickly find specific things while scrolling

Allow a option to not display recent bookmarks on the bookmarks manager display.

I don't want the recent bookmarks listed in the bookmarks menu. The bookmarks are in sub folders that I easily access I don't want all users to see the bookmarks I created in a history style display in the recent bookmarks menu. It appears I can delete the bookmark from the recent display, but that also deletes the actual bookmark.
