Firefox bookmarks toolbar has quit working properly: 1. Bookmarks toolbar shows as "Empty" 2. Bookmarks will only show ONE column. 3. I can only get one column to show in the Bookmarks. 4. If I click on the Name colum and then click on the Location column,

   only the Location column will show and I am unable to return to the Name column.

5. I am unable to get the Bookmarks Toolbar to show the necessary options.

When installing Firefox, I chose Microsoft Edge because I was currently using it. Google Chrome has all my favorites and bookmarks. I had no info in Microsoft Edge. I used it because I've had so much trouble with Google. Google has the info favorites and bookmarks that need to transfer to Firefox. I can't find a way to go back and correct my entry. Do I have to uninstall and reinstall Firefox to fix this.

Had to refresh Firefox but lost my bookmark sidebar & can't find a way to re-establish it. Used to be a setting for it at the top of the home page but none now. Can't find it in settings.

I've had this site that i have no recollection of visiting always there, pinned at the top of my search suggestions but i never bothered with it, till today when i decided to remove it.

I tried all the things i can think of and searched for a solution to no avail, any help is appreciated.

My previous version of Firefox was upgraded last night in the new version I can not locate my previous bookmarks and associated log in, are you able to advise how i can transfer them over and where they are located? Kind Regards Steve

Long story short...I lost my hard drive, reinstalled windows....I never used a firefox login on this laptop. I do have a backup of all my data/appfiles --- actually i cloned the failed drive. So I have this directory in my backups:

D:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\810aqnu7.default-release-1636153011215\bookmarkbackups. There are a bunch of JSON versions of bookmarkfiles there stored....how can i get my bookmarks back with these files?

where is the "current bookmark files" stored? which directory?

bold textI need to sync my phone to my new computer so I can get my bookmarks and passwords transferred over to my new computer. I am afraid to scan the QR code because it reads as if it will sync this empty canvas to my phone and wipe all of my data out. What steps do I need to take?

Is there a way to force bookmark icons to show up in the web browser? I need to know, as it really bothers me to have the grey globe icon showing up. Thanks,

The dozens of bookmarks I had that I did not put in folders has grown in numbers exponentially. I don't know how. I had nothing to do with it. I went from having about 200 bookmarks (outside of what I had in separate folders) to what seems to be roughly 5000. This is ridiculous. How can I 1, correct this, and 2, stop if from happening again.

Now that my search engine for Firefox start page (Bing) have stopped showing images for older browsers (I just get a blank grey screen with their search bar).

Upgrading FF is not an option.

I want to use my own image (but not sure how to go about this). A Bookmark ?

Please help me get my bookmarks back. I've tried all of the suggestions that I understand. There's one that says to go select a file, but it doesn't say where the file is ...

Firefox automatically reshows bookmarks toolbar any time I save a bookmark using the "Star" option even though it is set to not display.

I have to manually turn it off even though it is turned off.

Can you PLEASE honor my setting by NOT turn it on in the first place?... in other words, without having to manually turn it off again!

This gets very annoying and it wastes space when displaying web pages.

a. That article is out of date. And, like so many, IT DOES NOT STATE TO WHAT VERSIONS OF FIREFOX IT APPLIES. That is nuissance, considering how often Firefox changes.

b. That article also states to right click and tab and use "Bookmark All Tabs". There is no such right click option. (ff v107.1)

Useless, out-of-date articles should not be archived when they become obsolete. Or, they should be archived with an indication that they no longer apply.

c. How do I save a window?

I use pinned tabs for gmail, calendar, etc. How can they be pinned permanently? When there is a shutdown/restart/signoff my pinned gmail tab requires a new signin which open in a new tab. I have to close the pinned tab and repin the new one for each open tab (gmails, cal, contacts...)
