I had a UserChrome.css working great so that I could see More folders and urls in the drop down lists when I'd click on a folder icon in my toolbar displaying a large number of other folders and links (from Bookmarks Toolbar in Bookmarks).

At some point in the last year a Firefox updated totally changed them so that they are now Very small. The folders are just a tiny tiny hard to see Outline of a folder (no color) and the url icons are very tiny (but with color).

I'm no longer up to speed (as if I Every was) on how to fix this back.

UserChrome.css last changed on 2/10/17 so .. I'm not sure why the Appearance has changed?

Is there a simple fix? A colored folder icon for the folders and a bit larger colored icon from the fav.icon for the url would be nice? And I wouldn't mind if they had less space in between the folders and urls?

Hi everyone,

whenever i log in to my mozilla account from another laptop, bookmarks are not updated. I keep my bookmarks very carefully in my main laptop, but i cannot see them updated in any other one. Is it an issue of time, i.e. it needs more time to synchronize or is it something else thay maybe i should be doing?

Hello, My laptop crashed, and I had to reboot everything. And I have lost all my bookmarks on Firefox.

I wanted to know if there is a way for you to find them all back. Knowing that my laptop is for professional use, and that the Firefox App is an authorized software within my company, there might be a record of my user history. I have just created a Mozilla account to message you here; I supposed that would have been possible otherwise.

Up until today, when I clicked on Library icon I would see my bookmarks organized in folders (the way I wanted). Now I get a list of most recent bookmarks which is fairly useless. How can I get the old menu back. The folders/bookmarks are all there. I can see them when I click on Manage Bookmarks. Firefox is up to date. TIA, Mark

I have two computer and one week ago both of them stoped letting me copy and past my firefox bookmarks. All other browsers work fine. so I know it is a firefox problem. I have not downloaded any software so that is not the problem. It was working fine. I am using widows 11. Can you help

I am trying to help a friend this lives out of town, all of her bookmarks have dissapeared. I was trying to walk her through setting them up again but her Firefox application menu won't open. I tried walking her through just typing the address in then saving it as a bookmark, but the blue star at the far right of the address bar isn't there. Is there a setting we need to turn on for her to use bookmarks in Firefox?

Hello For years now my Firefox has lost any new bookmarks, and edits to existing ones, once closed. For some reason on opening it always has just 4 bookmarks (on the bookmarks toolbar) from ages ago but no new ones from the previous session, nor any edits to the few old ones. It would be helpful if clicking Save actually did that. Recently I have been adding DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials to my few extensions (as encouraged by Firefox) but that also disappears completely overnight. Fortunately the longer-standing add-ons are so far staying in place. However, the LastPass password manager now drops the master password just a few minutes after logging in, over and over again. There have been periods in past years when that password has been dropped some while after logging in but managed to stick after being entered just once more; but that hasn't been happening for quite a while until this new behaviour started a week or so ago. This problem does not happen in the Opera browser which I've started using again so I have to assume it is a Firefox issue not a LastPass one. I don't know if it's relevant but I do clear all cookie & site data before closing Firefox and it is set to never remember history. I would much prefer to continue using Firefox but it just takes too much effort these days! Firefox 106.0.5 64bit currently; Win10 (21H2 auto-updated. Thank you.

Yesterday, I could reach up and access a pull-down bookmarks menu. Today, in that same place were several links to places I never go, such as the homepages for Bing(?), Google(?) and Yahoo(?), all of which I have deleted. Now there is a note saying " For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar", followed by a link to "Manage bookmarks", which provides NO solution. My actual bookmarks themselves are not "gone", but the menu with which to access them is definitely not there. And please don't ask for "more information" as you've done in the other 1061 questions regarding the same issue. What more is needed? And yes, I have tried a number of the "suggestions" to correct the problem, at least the ones that aren't geared toward computer professionals, and nothing works.

Fix Firefox to allow me to open bookmark folders AT ANY TIME. Each time I need a bookmark in a folder, I have to CTRL-B twice to get it to open. This has been happening for months now. Version 106.0.5 64-bit.

I cannot delete bookmarks from the toolbar OR the manage bookmarks screen. HELP!

Two weeks ago I noticed my tool bar was missing it's tabs that I had saved. Then I noticed that all my bookmarks were gone. I am very frustrated. And now when I try to save a bookmark, it won't even save. When I go to History, nothing is there.

I'm ready to switch to Safari unless I can get this resolved.

The URL field appears to have disappeared from the bookmarks options. That is inconvenient because when you access an old bookmark, it is possible that you land on a redirected page and then you have lost the URL. You can then not retrieve the info from WayBack machine. All bookmarks are affected. Not cool, FF. :-( Using FF106.0.5 on Windows 10.

I tried to bookmark a page but I was not successful in Firefox (am also using Chrome and I was able to do it there). I tried using Ctrl + D and using a mouse by clicking the star, both were unsuccessful. There was no error message.

New update lost all previous settings. went to About:profiles and selected launch profile in new brawser which recovered all old settings. When i closed firefox and then reopened firefox all recovered profile was gone. How can I save old profile selected in new update?

When I right-click a bookmark folder and select "Sort By Name", it sorts sub-folders to the top, then individual bookmarks after.

I prefer folders and files not to be segregated like that, but to be sorted together. That is how I have it in my file manager, I'm used to it, I much prefer it. I would like to be able to duplicate that behavior in Firefox's bookmarks. Is that possible?
