After adding a bookmark the list of bookmarks is blank. It does not display any of the downloads I added.

I will stop using Firefox.
It is the end for me with Firefox, reason Sync and Bookmarks.
No matter what I do, every time I delete a bookmark, it instantly pops up back, duplicate bookmarks everywhere, delete them and they magically pop up again.
I researched the internet for months with no solution, I tried every solution that showed up in search results, nothing resolved the issue.
I even disabled sync, and yet the deleted bookmarks pop up again, I deleted ALL my bookmarks and like magic they are back.
So, after so many years I decided to find another browser that will not give me that much headache...

I updated my FireFox. In the old version I have a list of bookmarks on the left side on my firefox home screen. In this new version I dont have that and can't see how to get it back. Can someone help. Also, when someone replies where do I see the reply?
It seems that something has gone awry with adding new shortcuts and/or bookmarks. Any one have a solution yet?
