It appears that Firefox 87.0b3 version has removed the Library - Pocket List menu item. Yet, through the about:config options, has retained the ability to activate the 'Save to Pocket' address bar icon.

This makes no sense as there is now no option to have a 'Pocket List' item selection. At least I couldn't find an option for this. That is without adding another extension.

Having the 'Save' option without the 'List' option is counter intuitive.

The Library-->Pocket List Menu item should be restored.

Thanks.

On Ubuntu, FFDE can be configured to

1. Auto-update - but it just displays a message saying that it cannot update

2. Download updates and request permission to install them - all it does is display a message saying a new update is available

I think this all stems from the fact that FFDE at present has to be manually installed on Ubuntu. Why this is so, I cannot fathom - maybe someone here has an answer to why open sourced op system users are inconvenienced by Firefox.

It's feasible to script an update procedure to Ubuntu for FFDE. But this will not stop the annoying (every 2 hours) pop-ups about new updates being available - even when there is no new update there . . .

Maybe FFDE could simply stop automatic update reminders altogether. Users can decide (or script) for themselves if they want to update.

Has anyone noticed that many websites that use google tracking and analytics seem to work a lot slower on firefox than on chrome? I know most sites have some form on google tracking on them but some in particular work a lot slower on firefox than on chrome. In particular udemy.com, as well as my.onexamination.com I feel this is an issue due to firefox privacy containers, as the tracking on these websites is trying to get information which firefox is denying it, causing a delay in resolution. I prefer firefox but I am starting to use chrome for such websites. Any way I can speed up things on firefox and avoid chrome altogether?

Hello, I use 2 monitors if one of them has a live stream from Facebook then there are such flashes on the primary monitor while browsing. But only if Firefox is open on the primary monitor. Here is a video of the flickering: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOsjhbInuQQ I had a system reinstall due to an SSD replacement, but the error persists. This error has occurred since the Windows 10 Pro 20H2 update. I have an RTX2070 card with the latest gpu driver.

Thanks for the help!

When I try to upload something to youtube music it keeps on showing up as an error despite being the right file extension. To test this I uploaded the same files on Chrome and they worked perfectly.

Problem was fixed upon fresh start /or resetting cookies and cache but both are annoying each time as I have to relog into everything each time this error happens.

The former versions of Reader View looked pretty much like normal documents - without all the superfluous clutter that an original webpage article might contain. So, it could easily be printed OR copy/pasted into a new Word document, and then printed. However, in the new Reader View (v. 87 - 88), most of the photographs are retained. In fact, they are often duplicated, i.e., instead of having one head shot of the subject of an article, there will be TWO identical ones - along with many of the other original photos (also duplicated). So, we now have a Reader View that contains twice the number of photos than the original webpage article did!!

The consequence? I have to "copy" blocks of text; paste them into a document; return to the webpage; dodge the photo(s); and go to the text for another copy/paste cycle. Spin, Repeat, etc. This is SO tedious, especially when the previous Reader View retained, at most, only one photo at the beginning, followed by nothing else but text. This allowed for fast and easy printing or saving. Alas, this is no longer possible (and I have expanded/modified Print Preview as much as possible and followed every other "temporary" tweak suggested in the Support Community!)

Lastly, on v. 88, I still cannot see the former "Simplify Page" (which, if memory serves, did not do as thorough a job of minimizing a webpage.) For what it's worth, is there any way the previous version of Reader View can be resurrected, preferably with NO photos, on a permanent basis?? Thanks very much.

Hi there! Some background info: I have a desktop PC. I just got the newest firefox update. ...Thanks; I hate it. And they've altered the way the bookmarks look. So now the bookmarks drop-down menu is so long that I have to scroll down to see everything on it, (I didn't have to before). And what's worse is that sometimes one moment it will be over the Windows taskbar that's at the bottom of my screen and suddenly it will disappear UNDER the taskbar where I can't see everything and I struggle to access anything with my mouse. It's SO aggravating. How do I fix this??

When I pushed the right button of the mouse to choose the shortcut of "copy link", its shortcut changed from"A" to "L". I do not know why and when this change happened. It was "A" 3 hours ago.

As I use the left hand to push the keyboard and the right hand to move the mouse, it is very inconvenient. I appreciate it if you tell me how to change the setting.

Since the release of Beta version 89.0b3, Firefox Beta on Win 10 keeps reverting back to .0b2. I cannot pinpoint exactly when it happens; sometimes after 'hibernation'; sometimes after 'sleep'. Getting damn frustrating, and I'm not nearly ready to move up from Windows.

How the heck do I track what's going on? All advice gratefully accepted!
