Firefox 28 Will not start in Windows 8 Touch Mode, crashes at splash screen Specs: Win 8.1 Pro x84 Pentium 4 @3.06GHz. 1.5 GB RAM 1TB HDD Antimalware Service: Windows Defender and Malwarebytes(currently closed)
I have tried safe mode, checked the help sections and have not found any reason or solution for my problem.

I found BETA under Mozilla's Products. Firefox 28 wouldn't work for this machine, but I am 'talking' to you now using Firefox 29.

I thought I fixed the problem I went to a new profile but took over Prefs.js and the fast dial folder so my fast dial stuff will still be intact. I installed Youtube HD which makes videos automatically hd so I dont have to select it and thats the only plugin i was running but I uninstalled it and it still crashes. Now my flash player hardware acceleration is disabled but I use 11.7 flash player due to the fact the new flash player 13 and 12 makes my youtube videos freeze up. 11.7 is the only one I found out of all of em that still works right for me. That may be what is causing the crashes. I dont know how to read crash ID's so I leave that up to yall I have two. I Just marked solved on a thread that i had going over the same issue. And for reference I do not have hardware acceleration enabled on firefox it makes the letters weird for some reason So I never use it. I have disabled flash and so far so good but only time will tell and a lot of the sites I go to use flash. I was scrolling my facebook news feed both times when this error happened. The same amount of size was downloaded 206kbps in FDM but firefox downloads 60 to 80kbps why

Adi answered Like this fdm downloads a file from several connections and later it appends all downloaded parts into one file. Therefore, it downloads a file in less time. It is controlled by servers of fdm. On the other hand, when firefox setup is downloaded by its installer ( Stub ) it is downloaded from server of Mozilla Firefox over a single connection, it does not download several parts in parallel or simultaneously. Therefore, it is downloaded at a slower rate. but why firefox doesn't offer this feature but chrome downloads 200kb why and how firefox hanging the border

After automatic update to 32.2 (then I tried to update to 33.0 beta with no improvement) Firefox keeps returning a "Gone The requested resource /administrator/index.php is no longer available" reponse when trying to access joomla login. The problem is there even when I fill manually the fileds "user" and "password" in the joomla admin login page. The problem appears in different sites on different servers, and do not occurr using Google Chrome. It's clearly a Firefox issue. Could you please give me some ideas on how to solve ?

Previously, sync would take a maximum of about 5 seconds.... This is by pressing the Sync NOW button.

hey all I need some help. I'm fairly computer literate but my hp envy with windows 8.1 running a shell for the start menu to act like windows 7 keeps making this horrid sound. It happens every 10 minutes. the jing vid plays the sound at about 2:53 second mark. If anyone can help me with this I would be grateful. BTW I have all windows sounds turned off. Sound happens when firefox is connected to internet. I have webroot and spybot so I don't know what this can be but I am losing my mind hearing it. Not joining live hangouts etc because of it. I may have mentioned that this happens in chrome as well but it does not. I have refreshed my firefox and it is a temporary fix. I don't know what the catalyst is that causes it to start again.
