In options, if I check the box "Open pop-ups in a new tab" nothing happens when I click the link. If I uncheck the box, clicking the link takes me to a new Firefox window directly to the page. If I click the same link in Chrome or IE9 I get a jscript window that asks me a question before taking me to the page.

In v3.X... you could get to prior pages viewed on a site/tab by clicking an arrow that was part of the Forward/Back navigation arrows. Clicking the arrow gave you a drop down list of the prior pages you had viewed (from that tab). That feature is missing in v6.0. Any way to get this back?

It's on an Acer netbook, running XP; after Outlook Express 'was unable to open' it's 'message store. Your computer may be out of memory or your disc is full.' (Neither of those is anywhere near being the case!) Sent it's error report to MS but no reply to that, yet. Firefox says to 'check that this (profile) directory has no read/write restrictions' but it's run perfectly well for the year I've had the netbook & I've not changed those settings. Please help, thanks!

I agreed to be a "beta update channel" person a long time ago when I was rarely using Firefox.

Now two things have changed: I am restricted to 5G a month (both up and download). I am switching to Firefox as my default browser.

Someone told me that I need to make sure I disenroll from any apps that relay usage information back to the developers. Because that is one way I can "leak" MB out of my monthly allotment.

Please understand that I am an amateur computer user and this might seem like a ridiculous question.

The bottom line is that I just want the regular version of Firefox, not the beta tester version.

Why did Mozilla introduce such a pathetic and useless thing when it doesnt work corretly and is just really annoying.

Can someone at Mozilla take a look into this and sort it out, its not difficult is it to just have a basic setting like IE or Chrome where u choose a drive and folder which stays there UNTIL! u change it yourself.

When I install a theme on firefox, any theme, then it cannot show normally many web sites. It shows them transparent. I can see the desktop behind the browser. The web site is loaded and then some pieces of it get transparent. It happens even on facebook.

When there is no theme, everything is normal. I updated firefox to version 8, but nothing is changed. I even deleted my profile and erase any preference/setting and still when I installed a (different) theme, there was problem again. I have no idea what started the problem at first place, that was long ago.

I have windows 7, firefox 8. Please, help ?

I teach a fundamental web design class using HTML and CSS. We were playing with links and I set up an example where a check mark would be displayed as a background image for the :visited pseudo class using embedded CSS. It worked on an older version of Firefox. It does not work on newer versions. It does work current versions of IE and Opera.

I've included the code I used.

Well after reading a particular post on this site I thought Firefox x64 was available. After installing 9.0 beta 1 I realized that this is not the truth, or maybe I'm doing something incorrectly? Both the beta 9.0 beta 1 and the current full 8.0 release run at x86 and shows the *32 in the task manager by the Firefox process.
