Hello! Short story: I recently discovered that adding a new GIF image to a page resets the animations of existing GIF images on the page with the same src.

Expected behavior: Adding a new GIF image to the page should not reset the animation of existing images with same src.

Actual result: Adding a new GIF image to the page resets the animation of all existing GIF images on the page with same src.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is this a bug?

Browser: Firefox Developer Edition 102.0b4 (64-bit) OS: Windows 11

When I type my website in the bar, firefox puts www in front of it, which causes the warning page: firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.karinchappell.com. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

If I remove the www by backspacing it, the page loads correctly.

I've checked the website: "SSL is enabled on your site, and an SSL certificate was detected on your site."

When I've asked around the techies I know, I've been told this is an antiquated way of dealing with it. Please advise.

The URL in the URL bar is trimmed. I went to about:config and disabled "browser.urlbar.trimURLs", but it still did not work after I restarted Firefox. (see images)

I later then found out that there is a lot of unused space on the right. (see https://1drv.ms/v/s!Ag9_47ED3j7sgsZhkB02k7gI3lavyg) How do I remove / make use of the space on the right of the URL bar? How do I turn off the trimming of the URL?

MacOS FF dev edition 102 When I roll my mouse over a link, in pops up the URL in the bottom left (i.e. status bar as safari calls it) but there's no indication of if the link will show in the current tab or a new tab. in safari, the end of the URL states "in new tab" if that's the case.

I've got about 10 bookmarks with links to support pages each about adjusting specific about:config setting to my needs. My job also requires me to change systems lots of times, from Mac to windows to Linux. Is there an easy way I can save my personal about:config changes to a file for easy import on other systems?

Hello, I am currently having an annoying issue when browsing Firefox on particular websites. There's this large, irremovable white bar at the bottom of the screen that appears when I'm browsing particular websites (it only appears on those and those websites only), but it never appears on other websites and there doesn't seem to be a way to remove it. I've tried clearing cookies and cache, disabling certain extensions but nothing has seemed to work so far. I'm currently using the Firefox Nightly, but the same exact issue is present on the same exact websites (developer.mozilla.org, codewars.com, etc.) on my regular version of the browser. This is getting really annoying and I don't want to switch to a Chromium-based browser, so is there any way to fix this annoying issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have set up 11 custom devices that max the min and max sizes of bootstrap grid system (xs-min-360w, xs-max-575, etc) to aid me with checking my website on various screen sizes. Is there anyway to export this list or better still to synch them with my Firefox account so I don't lose these settings?

I am using Firefox Developer Edition (101.0b6 (64-bit)) on Ubuntu 20.04.

While watching videos(movies/anime) video takes much time to buffer. If video is of 20 minutes then it loads first few minutes then after watch time reaches that buffered video then it takes more time buffer.

What I am looking is for, how can I force firefox to buffer full video at once or is there any way to increase buffer size.

I saw many tutorials on making self-signed certificates get a lock sign of trusted certificate, which were installing the root certificate of authority in firefox which i did, and also installed in windows, i am using latest version of firefox developer edition, this is error i recieve:

please take off the red add, the pop up total add sign that keeps popping up asking to paid for the add block I am 82 and on a fixed budget. I do not want this service. How do I get it off my computer. When I want to print an article from an e mail.I always have to remove it to save an e mail, or when I want to print an article, I read it later, and I see the total ad block on my printed article stuck on the printed page blocking out what I printed. A customer shared his Firefox login with me to share his passwords. I logged in with his account, downloaded his passwords and logged out directly afterwards, but now he is reporting that he has ALL my passwords. How can undo this? I never gave him access to my account and I never clicked on sync or something?

when I click the web address bar and the drop down opens up with commonly visited site a series buttons appear under it that I would love to delete from the face of the earth, as far as I can tell there doesn't appear to be any setting to turn them off and help topics are expectantly useless. For the love of god don't come and tell me you've added an idiot feature that I have no control over.

I used Speedtest by Ookla. When the broad band was installed, the technician did this without a problem. Today when I tried I was taken to an installation page. After I used the SpeedTest, then my main page was gone and instead I have a bar of Firefox selected options. I've tried to find how this is done so I can set it back but I can't find it. I just had a glitch with the latest update to 102b, FF insisted I had an old version and would only let me make a new profile. So I had to set up multi-account containers again. I have specific sites opening up in each container, and I'd like to make a copy to make sure that if my profile gets goofed up somehow, I can always easily restore my setup with multiaccount containers just the way I like it.

What do I need to copy, so that with a new profile, all I need to do is copy over some files?

In my profile folder, I see an Extensions folder, as well as an extensions.json and extensions-settings.json.

Are those the only folders/files I'd need to restore multi-account containers on a new profile?

I have thought of using FF Sync, but I keep reading that it is not intended for copying, so much as sharing across different devices, which is not something I'm interested in. Should I just let sync copy my extensions, and then sign back in, in the event I want to restore addons to a new profile?
