I have been using Firefox as my default browser for decades now but I think I might have to change that very soon. I am unable to obtain sound when connected to the internet. I am hoping to start an online course to learn Python but when playing the first tutorial there was no sound at all. I looked for the problem via your website support page and discovered (for some obscure reason) that "Autoplay" is defaulted to "Block" in the Firefox settings. I decided to change this setting to "Allow audio and video" but to no avail. I've even tried listening to DIY store and Yuotube instructional videos but can't hear a thing. If I use MS Edge as my browser, the sound is fine. Am I missing something here? Is there more to changing the settings than I what I read? Anyway, I've enjoyed using Firefox over the years and really don't want to have to use a Microsoft browser. Is thete something you can suggest?

When I watch a video on any website (including YouTube) and switch it to fullscreen mode, the video fades out and switches to fullscreen mode, and the same happens when switching back. How can I turn this off? I couldn't find such a setting in the browser settings

Hello, I just updated Firefox to version 136 on my MacBook Pro. I was playing a 4k YouTube video, and at 16 minutes and 10 seconds in the video froze. If I moved the cursor the pause button and all of that would come up at the bottom, but when I clicked on the option to exit full screen it did not respond. I pressed the escape button and that did get me out of full screen, but the video window did not apply the right formatting. I'll include a screenshot so that you can see what I am talking about. After exiting full screen, if you look at the bottom of the video window, the option to go back to full screen is cut off. Closing Firefox and relaunching it appears to have things working again, at least for now. I thought it would be best to report this just in case it isn't an isolated glitch.

I formatted my PC recently, but since then, your browser does not play sound on other websites apart from youtube.com. I thought that my PC was faulty so I reinstalled Windows 10, still no sound.. Please help

Before I update Firefox I had all my accounts and passwords. Now I have lost them all. When I asked you to import them, you only gave me a very old facebook account and no passwords

I have recently encountered this issue with Youtube where a video playing perfectly normally will just stop at a random point and start loading endlessly. If I skip 5 seconds, it plays again without any issues until it reaches the same problem again. There isn't a pattern to this and I have not made any new changes to cause this issue. Additionally I have tested it on Chrome and Brave and this issue doesn't arise there. Any suggestion for a fix?

There are video playback issues on both desktop Firefox and Android Firefox, but there is no category for both. However, I considered not being able to play the videos at all a more serious issue.

The HEVC video plays on android, but with lag as if there were no hardware acceleration while it plays fine on Chromium-based browsers. This same issue was present on desktop Firefox, but then hevc support disappeared in one of the updates altogether.

This page shows that HEVC isn't supported, despite nobody on the web reporting this bug. And neither is HDR supported for some reason. Despite Firefox Android having the same report from that site apart from the user agent, it's seemingly able to decode that video on CPU, whereas on Windows it shows a Mimetype error. Disabling hardware acceleration doesn't make Firefox play it on the CPU. Is there a fix for these?

A strange bug seems to have reappeared in Firefox 135.0.1 on Windows 11...

If I'm playing a YouTube video in the browser, and then reload the tab, the last fraction of a second of audio from the video will play on loop. It doesn't stop until new audio is sent to the WDM audio device (from any application).

The same thing can happen while seeking through a video. When the video playback resumes from the seek point, the new audio clears the stuck audio loop from the previous segment.

While I appreciate the unintentional tribute to Max Headroom, it does get a bit annoying.

Has anyone addressed the infinite buffering while streaming vids/movies? Really getting tired of this and chrome keeps looking better. And i hate chrome. Haven't seen an answer on the original question post. Just curious if its taken seriously.

There seems to be 4k video playback issue on youtube. While playing a video in 4k it stutters (not every video, the 60 fps ones seem to be fine). The problem is not present on other chromium based browsers.
