Firefox crashes often and it is bothersome when i have to continue trying to get to one of my favorites, and it crashes, and when I try again, it crashes again. I have no extensions as I removed them all, and the web pages I visit are ones I visit regularly and never had as much problem as I am currently having. HELP!

It opened every time I typed.

I asked ChatGPT and turned off both "Search page when you start typing" in settings and made some config files to block it.

It still shows up when I press ' or / outside a text input.

Choose Restore This Tab or Restore All Crashed Tabs to reload the page/pages. I opened closed it, rebooted, different urls. Firefox doesnt work at all. I had to use chrome to ask this question.

I've been using Firefox for many years with no problems. Recently, there have been frequent tab crashes. I've noted this problem before, and sent reports, but no fixes ever seem to be forthcoming. This makes me question whether I should continue using Firefox. The times I've switched to Edge, it hasn't crashed.

I cannot open any web sites from the Mozilla Firefox on my computer. Every attempt gets the message :tab has crashed. Will I need to abandon using Firefox if this is an unfixable problem?

There are video playback issues on both desktop Firefox and Android Firefox, but there is no category for both. However, I considered not being able to play the videos at all a more serious issue.

The HEVC video plays on android, but with lag as if there were no hardware acceleration while it plays fine on Chromium-based browsers. This same issue was present on desktop Firefox, but then hevc support disappeared in one of the updates altogether.

This page shows that HEVC isn't supported, despite nobody on the web reporting this bug. And neither is HDR supported for some reason. Despite Firefox Android having the same report from that site apart from the user agent, it's seemingly able to decode that video on CPU, whereas on Windows it shows a Mimetype error. Disabling hardware acceleration doesn't make Firefox play it on the CPU. Is there a fix for these?

Firefox keeps locking up, for want of a better description. It will minimize itself, and when I go to click on it, it will not open/maximimize or let me use it. It then also won't allow itself to be closed (by using the only option available, the x on the taskbar icon). I end up having to restart my computer to get it to go away and then work properly (for a little while) when I restart. Firefox used to be my favorite browser, but I'm getting really frustrated. It's updated and still won't work properly. Help. Please.

I have a user who is experiencing various tabs crashing in Firefox. So far, I've confirmed she isn't using any extensions, has only 30-40 tabs open at any given time across 2-3 windows, and is usually using about 80-85% of the physical memory at any given time.

I've reinstalled Firefox, updated the graphics driver, and Windows is fully up to date. I've just created a new profile to see if that resolves the issue.

The crash files all list "EXCEPTION_BREAKPOINT" and "out of memory" as the sanitized reason. I suspect that the problem is as simple as it sounds, but I'd like to get another set of eyes on these crash dumps that may be able to see things that I don't, or don't even know to look for.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but they all also show that the total virtual memory is 140 TB? Could it be trying to address memory that doesn't exist?

Any help would be appreciated.

Firefox ver 135 crashes on Windows 2019 server It works on troubleshoot mode but not on regular mode, no extensions, themes, plugins installed however it still fails. Need help

I have used Firefox for the last 10+ years. Last week Firefox automatically updated itself. Thereafter, all tabs crash. I can not open a blank, new tab. It crashes too.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the same thing happens. All tabs crash.

It will be unfortunate if I can't fix this issue and have to give up Firefox and switch to a different browser. But right now, I'm not seeing any alternative.

I have been having intense issues with Firefox over the last 2 weeks. Firefox windows freeze then crash, tabs randomly crash sometimes it just closes with no crash or anything.

Running Firefox in trouble shoot mode also crashes I have tried reinstalling and refreshing. Clear of all virus or malware. Fresh graphics install and drivers
