Anyway, it takes you to go.daddy where the site has been parked. How can this ad be gotten rid of because when I first saw the ad I wasted sometime because I thought it was a advisory regarding my Firefox browser. OK How do we get rid of this ad?

I am getting these popup ads that are signed ads by offerswizard. I have tried refreshing Mozilla to uninstalling and reinstalling new. No good. None of the popup blockers I have tried have worked. The different antivirus/malware software do not seem to see them as a virus or malware. (kapersky, mcafee, microsoft essentials, iobit asc/malware, plus some of the free ones available. Any help on how go get rid of this. I have gone as far as restoring my laptop several times and no go. Using Asus, windows 7 home.

In Blackboard I need Firefox to not open a new tab. Before the last update it was fine, but now when I click on a new choice (i.e. the grade book) it always opens a new tab. My Bb administrator says it is a browser issue. I can right click to open a new tab, but there is no choice not to open a new tab.

The title says it all. I blocked Flash Player under Permissions, but the ads still run, consuming 10-50% of CPU, making the fan go crazy. Even after I reload the page, or exit and log back in.

Yes it's an old computer with limited RAM, but it serves me well on every other site.

Any suggestions? Why are Permissions not working? Thanks.

Firefox v40.0.3, Win7 64-bit SP1 and up-to-date.

Somehow, probably due to a recent software install, Yahoo has hijacked my new tab behavior and I can no longer get to the New Tab tiles that I could do before when I create a new tab or new window (ctrl-t or ctrl-n). I have:

1. Changed the about:config browser.newtab.url entry to about:newtab; it was www.yahoo.com. 2. Removed Yahoo from the list of search engines and ensured that Google was at the top. 3. Followed the process at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customize-new-tab-page but I cannot find the cog icon on the New Tab page since I can't get a tab with the tiles (i.e. I can find the New Tab controls referred to on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/hide-or-display-sites-new-tab-page).

I would really like my tiles back.

Google will load and then the web address flickers two or three times and the back arrow will activate indicating another web address. That address is of course an advertising site. How do I get rid of this

I have not been able to get to my Email for three days now. Every time I click on the Mazilla/Firefox icon, the search engine ASK comes up and I can't get rid of it. It has taken over as my search engine and won't let me get to Firefox and my Email! My windows home page doesn't come up at all, nothing is working as it did!!! What's going on? How do I fix it?

When browsing, a Yahoo popup often appears asking to add a yahoo extension. I do not want the extension but that option is not given. All I can do is close the popup only to have it reappear a few clicks later. How do I get this popup to stop? I have the 'block popups' box checked in preferences.

I set Home Page to www.yahoo.com, a few seconds later it changes to http://searchinterneat-a.akamaihd.net/"a string of letters". I ran McAfee and did not detect any Virus. I ran Malbytes and did not detect any malware. Any help will be much appreciated.

I visited Yahoo in Firefox, and Yahoo hyjacked my home page. When I go into Optoins and change it back, somehow it is automatically changed back to Yahoo (actually http://searchinterneat-a.akamaihd.net/h?eq=U0EeCFZVBB8SRggXeFoIBQ5AEhhFdFoITA0UQlAOeQleVhREFgdAeQFbWQpFQlAFIk0FA18DB0VXfWFoKB8fHHRQM1BLFWkeSFtX) after about 1 minute. I tried reloading Firefox and searching the registry for the Yahoo URL to no avail.

What keeps changing my home page to Yahoo? I searched my PC for SPIGOT to no avail either. Anyone else have this problem? More to the point, anyone know what causes the home page to be reset to Yahoo after it is reset in Options to the original home page? There are similar questions on htis website, but no answers to my specific problem.

A friend was using my computer to try to get to Google/Gmail. Firefox now is gray at the top of the screen with an additional blank area at the top. The windows task bar at the bottom is also gone. My Norton security software is unloaded also. One time a message "enhanced by Google" appeared. I then downloaded a new copy of Firefox, the message disappeared but the other settings are still not what I had before. How do I get back to the default appearance?

Everytime I open a tab this is in the tool bar I have removed and changed my home page but it comes back EVERYTIME please tell a very stupid non tec person how to remove this PLEASE

Problem happens on any Web page. Words such as "account, customer, profile, address, Internet, etc" company names and phone numbers ae hi-jacked by adverts. Hovering over the highlighted word pops up an advert. Clicking on the advert opens a new tab showing Url is "s.iktmmny.com/click.........." . Clicking in any input field popsup a new window or a tab with an advert. Closing window or tab show input field as selected.

ad.doublecheck.net keeps showing tabs/popups when I go to almost any site or do a search. I have used several malware program scans, reset firefox, reset IE and still have the problem. How can I kill the beast.

Mozilla provided a popup scanner and i installed it. Scanned and deleted, or so i thought! Whenever i go on realmadrid.com to look at merchandise, they popup EVERYWHERE! I thought they were all gone, but its only that one website, nothing else! Please Help!

I encounter several pop-ups on a regular basis. Not only do they redirect me when clicking links, they can appear from clicking almost anywhere. I get links related to Star Trek, Fire Fox, & Flash most often. I have uninstalled Fire Fox, and deleted all the related folders I could find, as well as registry entries, and I've ran virus/spyware scans, but they never stop. I always run Ad Block Plus, as well. This handful of ads are the only ones it doesn't seem to detect.
