I see very poor answers (lack of ui/userinterface and just plain lack of human factors for this problem.

UI/HF engineers can explain things so easy, but not here!

I'm attempting to migrate over to Firefox since Chrome has stopped supporting my ad-blocker of choice. However, I'm finding Firefox almost unusable due to the super annoying mute button that takes of half the tab. It's difficult for me to click on a tab without accidentally muting it. How can I turn off, hide, or disable the mute button (or even move it somewhere other than the tab)?

I use Firefox in Linux and Windows. On Linux I can quickly and easily go to the last tab used by typing ctrl-tab (it even allows me to go to the 5 tabs used before the last one used).

How do I do this in Firefox on Windows? Nothing I've tried seems to work.

On Debian 12 running XFCE the shutter function in the top right orner is missing. This is a option like close, minimize, maximize that allows Linux GUI to only see the title bar, so it is out of the way of other screen applications. It is represented by the caret.

Adjusting the volume of any sound or video player in Firefox also affects the browser's overall volume in the operating system, making it difficult to raise the volume without a sudden increase in volume. I've set 'media.volume_scale' to 0.1 as a temporary fix, but adjusting it frequently is a hassle. I've tested this on my laptop with Linux Mint, and the issue is there as well. A user on Discord referred to this as intended behaviour, but I find it inconsistent and impractical for Firefox to be the only software that behaves this way and would like to change it.

Here's an example.

Hello!

Is there a way to get the icons for Shortcuts on the New Tab page to update their image to show the pinned site's favicon, instead of the Firefox default icons, without manually updating all of them in the "Edit" menu for the icon?

It seems like they should update automatically, like your bookmarks in the Bookmarks menu do, when you visit the site.

I read another Discussion where they said to delete some favicon files in %AppData% > Roaming > Mozilla > Profiles , but those steps did not work for me.

Thanks!

Sometimes when I go to type something in the search bar, firefox will auto-predict what I'm going to type and suggest websites that I don't want just randomly popping up. Even though I don't have bookmarks on these sites, and they're not in my browser history, and I've cleared cookies and data, this still happens. I don't know what the problem could be here. I'm on ios, latest version of Firefox (this has been an issue for a minute). What should I check/do?
