Firefox 139.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 11

I occasionally increase the zoom level of websites (usually forums) with Ctrl+mouse wheel if the default text size is too small. However, if I forget to set them back to 100% (Ctrl+0) before closing the tab, the next time I open that URL, it's at the former adjusted zoom level -- not 100%. Really annoying.

How do I force Firefox to open all URLs at 100% regardless of the last custom zoom level? I have default zoom already set to 100% in Settings and Zoom Text Only is not enabled.

Firefox on my 2018 MacBook Pro started having issues downloading all file types after I disconnected Dropbox sync and backup. Each time I try to download a file, a failed message is displayed below the file name and type. The browser was using the downloads folder that was synced with Dropbox. After disconnecting Dropbox, I tried changing the downloads location, but the "Choose" button does not display a window. The result is the same whether the Always ask you where to save files is checked or not.

I have gone through the following steps trying to resolve this issue with no success.

1. I have reset/cleared any configuration setting found using about:config and browser.download.
2. I have launched Firefox in troubleshoot mode and tested downloads with no resolution.
3. I have uninstalled Firefox and installed a fresh copy from mozilla.org with no resolution.
4. I have set the downloads folder in Safari, but this did not provide a resolution. Downloads work as expected in Brave and Safari. The current downloads location is the Downloads directory on my iCloud Drive.

The second screenshot with the error attached in still referencing the Dropbox-connected Downloads folder. No other browsers are using this folder and the Dropbox app has been completely removed from my laptop.

I use Firefox for web development and need to be able to download various files throughout the day, so this has become very frustrating.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

How to disable the Enterprise Roots preference-have tried everything I can find on this issue. In summary, deleting certificate via reg edit but this does not work, have to delete certificate every time I re start windows 11 desk top pc.

FF ver 140. just loaded and now all my sidebar bookmark fonts are black on black. How do I change the sidebar bookmark font back to white? When I disabled all Themes the white color came back, but enabling any theme and they the font turns black again.

My current about:config:

browser.urlbar.trimHttps false browser.urlbar.trimURLs true browser.urlbar.untrimOnUserInteraction.featureGate false

I noticed the new https trimming, but when I double-click (e.g. to select a word in the URL) to copy or change a part, the https pops back, shifting where my cursor is relative to where it was, which is annoying for having to reposition the cursor.

Disabling `browser.urlbar.trimURLs` should make sense to revert to no-trimming, but it didn't work.

`browser.urlbar.untrimOnUserInteraction.featureGate` being false already shouldn't have caused the issue I described.

As you can see from the screenshot i provided and as you can read from subject of this very annoying issue Firefox new 130 update has changed my URL bar and now stuff are missing to the point that links to Outlook and some other stuff that were in address bar URL because i wanted them there and now they place has been taken by namely foxovizija.blogspot.com and watchonlyfoolsandhorses.com and ajax.nl/shop just because i watched few episodes of fools and horses on that link same goes for foxovizija and browsed some items in ajax fan shop! I WANT DOES LINK GONE FROM MY URL so i can put links that i want to be in there and FF 130 address bar being populated by only the links i want to be there and stay that way! and one more thing i want to get rid of that ugly search with google thing because i don't even use google,further more once all of a sudden in FF 130 MY BROWSER IS MANAGED BY MY ORGANIZATION ? That was never there before this update ,so with all that has been said and screenshot as proof i beg you and plea on your kindness and knowledge to give me guidance how to fix this URL thing first,then how to remove THIS BROWSER IS MANAGED BY YOUR ORGANIZATION and last but not least how to block further FF updates because every new update is worse then the next and just keep pushing the whole browser down the drain ! I have tried MANY times to make Firefox remain persistent as my browser. It appears I should log into an Administrative account to do so. Microsoft Edge appears to be the problem by remaining the default. I was told by the Tech Sprt for my Asus laptop to "delete" Edge. I entered the Administrative account using DOS. So many changes have taken place since I last used this account that I'm uncomfortable trying to take this approach. I was led to an administrative directory using "search" end while there was able to get a directory listing using DOS. But can't proceed. I really need the Windows pictorial version to proceed or technical support (preferred). Whoever helps must be fully capable.

Asus TS said I must delete MS Edge. The person seemed capable, but if I delete Edge, which I haven't found a way to do so safely, that may create problems but makes sense to do so because of the interference of MS Edge. My memory on how to proceed is that this process was MUCH less complex. I've read a number accounts by others with the same problem. My reasons for using Firefox, as an private engineer are to help prevent the stealing of intellectual property from wherever. Otherwise I'll have to abandon everything.

Sirs. We cannot download the ¨Clear Browsing Data by Armin Sebastian.¨ It is a Firefox Recommended Add-On. We are getting error messages. Hi. I'm asking this question because I'm not quite sure how to describe this issue through a Google search. Recently, I've noticed that whenever I click and drag anything, an icon will pop up while I'm doing so. Attached is an example, I click-and-dragged on the "Learn More" hyperlink off to the right.

Is there any way to disable the icon that pops up? It bothers me and seems to slow things down, which isn't ideal. I'm not the most well-versed when it comes to Firefox's more advanced settings (the options in about:config and whatnot) so I wouldn't know where to start.

I have loved FF desktop browser since I started using it per my boss in 2003. But I am so tired of the fact that EVERY SINGLE TIME you put out an update it breaks my access to the bank. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I waste HOURS reading articles, calling the bank IT dept, chatting with people who are on 3 calls at once, only to hear them tell me to "just use chrome." I clear the cookies, clear the cache, reboot, follow all the prompts in the settings and THEN the damned bank server doesn't recognize the device so it forces yet ANOTHER password change. It happened again TODAY and it makes me so sad but I cannot do it anymore. I am STILL now (going on 4 hours) trying to access the billpay page @ Xantanderbank. (ahem, secure codename) I am forced now, by this craziness, to use the imbecilic duckduckgo which is A) and offensive name and b) you KNOW it nowhere near the product you have built but I CANNOT DO THIS ANYMORE. Thank you for the time it takes to read this diatribe. I appreciate it.

How come there is no option to turn off "Firefox Translation"? I speak three languages and every time I visit foreign web site, Firefox suggest translation to me. It's annoying.

I received an email stating the following: "Firefox now has a built-in ad blocker.... Turn it on under Settings > Browsing." There is no "Browsing" in my Settings.

I have run across threads with similar questions in both mozilla support and reddit, but as they are old and archived I cannot add additional info or request clarification, so here is (yet another) new one- I understand you can go into manage data in settings to delete what you want, however in mine it only shows a handful of most recent (opened today or currently open) since my settings clears history and deletes cookies upon exiting ff.

Cookies and Site Data section shows only 40.7mb of data is stored and in Manage Data only shows 8 sites... Clear Data area, with only these two boxes selected (attached) and 'everything' (time) still only around 50mb. My storage/default folder has 1005 folders and the data is over 1.5gb; I would like to manually delete all of this and as others have tried to ask, am wondering if this is ok to manually select them and delete in windows, or using windows %appdata%(?) and if so, will the sync feature (if I just clicked 'sync now') still retain all my bookmarks when I relaunch ff? Not concerned about any browsing/form history or passwords, only bookmarks.
