Hello Team, I am trying to install extensions to my Firefox on Macbook Pro M3.

Getting error in the subject

An unexpected error occurred during installation.

Extensions I have tried to install so far: AdBlock for Firefox by AdBlock uBlock Origin by Raymond Hill

Both are failing with the same error.

I have tried reinstalling Firefox, Private Window, nothing helped. It did work for me with Firefox on Macbook Intel

On Firefox 113.0 (64-bit) for Ubuntu 22.04, some fields don't display backticks correctly. I think it could be a javascript issue.

The easiest place to see this is the "new Gist" page on gist.github.com. The filename field (uses javascript) renders the backtick on top of the following character. The code field (not javascript) renders it correctly. See the screenshot.

My input source is English (US) and I have dead keys disabled. I have the same issue on different machines running Ubuntu, but not on Firefox on a machine running macos. I don't have the problem in other browsers on the Ubuntu machines.

Thanks!

Hello. I regularly read a scientific site that often uses Greek characters. Most of them are replaced by a square in FF as well as some mathematical symbols. The issue doesn't happen with Safari hence the said characters are not missing in the System. I uploaded one screenshot taken with Firefox and one with Safari. The page it's taken on is https://www.ca-se-passe-la-haut.fr/2023/01/mesure-du-taux-dune-reaction-cle-du.html. When the issue is too annoying I switch to Safari but my main browser has always been FF so it's bothering. Is there any remedy? TIA Best regards Nick

Has anyone seen this before? Is is Mozilla setting? Or perhaps ubuntu....

Upon visiting the Firefox community website, https://aboutnl.com/, it becomes evident that the once vibrant and thriving community is now grappling with low levels of user interaction. Discussions on essential topics such as browser features, add-ons, troubleshooting, and best practices have become infrequent, leaving users with unanswered queries and unresolved issues.

The issue of declining user engagement appears to be multifaceted. Firstly, the slow response times and intermittent technical glitches on the community website have created a less than optimal user experience. As a result, visitors may feel discouraged from actively participating in discussions or seeking help from fellow community members.

Secondly, with the rise of social media platforms and other digital forums, users are increasingly dispersing their interactions across various channels, which has led to a fragmentation of the Firefox community's online presence. As such, users might be unaware of the wealth of knowledge and assistance available within the official community platform.

Furthermore, the absence of regular updates and fresh content on the community website may contribute to the decline in user engagement. Users seek dynamic and relevant discussions, tutorials, and insights, which can keep them invested and entice them to contribute actively.

To address these challenges and revitalize the Firefox community, a comprehensive strategy is needed. It should involve optimizing the website's performance to ensure swift and reliable access, reevaluating the user interface for improved navigation and engagement, and actively promoting the community platform's unique benefits.

Firefox hangs up when I go to access my monthly statements on Wealthscape - the site my IRA is on. This is the only website this happens with. When I emailed them about this they said I should use Chrome or Edge. This seems illogical to me, since I can download tax documents and all other info from this same site.

Every time I open a video on a website and try and enter fullscreen mode, it never lets me exit fullscreen mode. Then I have to close the entire window. Also, sometimes I have to refresh the page once or twice to even get in to fullscreen mode. Google is only showing me stuff about Firefox fullscreen mode, NOT fullscreen mode for videos, which is the actual problem.

A month ago I suddenly found that I was no longer able to open my ISP's webmail page. I got the security warning shown here. I had many conversations with my ISP's tech, who couldn't figure out what was going on. At the same time I was finding that one or two other websites were not working properly. I finally tracked down the cause to the DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials extension. When this was disabled, all the problems went away. Everything seemed fine until yesterday, when we had a brief power outage that caused my PC to restart while FF was in use. After this, when I started Firefox, I found that once again I was getting the security warning when I tried to open the webmail page (though none of problems I previously experienced with the other websites). The DDG extension is still disabled. I have of course tried deleting the cache with no effect, and this time I have even gone so far as to refresh FF, and finally uninstalled it and reinstalled it - TWICE. Nothing helps! I now suspect that this is being caused by something that remains in the registry, even after uninstalling and reinstalling. However, as I am not experienced with making changes to the registry and wouldn't know how to start, I need help with this. Could somebody please advise me as to what I should do?

Is there some way to recommend an extension that's available in the Chrome Web Store but not available for Firefox? It's the only one I've found anywhere that does this, particular job.

Beanote will allow a sticky note to be made *anywhere* on a web page -- not in a sidebar -- and it will stay right where you want it. Or you can move it. Also, if there are tabs within a portion of that webpage, it will bleed through transparently to all of them. If you want to add it to another of these tabs, you just click on it and you can move it anywhere you'd like; again, it will stay there.

Hi,

Its about time you looked at your Mic cam Cam settings

I'm getting older, they should be set as on as Default, and switched to off if required

This is a massive issue to a great part of the community I don't use Firefox as I used to, as so many of my clients are also moving away, ( Gone to different platforms to Edge and Chrome) I'm sure this can be easily fixed.
