Some checkout sites love to open PayPal in its own window without menu bars, which clashes with my uMatrix installation, as I'm not able to set the necessary permissions to make the pop-out window work correctly. I want to force websites to open pop-out windows as a new tab instead of its own window. How can I achieve this?

How can I expand horizontal pinned tabs? This tiny icons that now appear are useless, especially if you want multiple Google tabs, i.e. for search, maps, mail, they all appear as the Google "G"

It seems I can no longer set a link to open in same tab. There is a Government webskite that won't let me open a link in a new tab and I can no longer find a way to stop a link being opened in a new tab

Hello, I would like to suggest adding an option to open dragged links into Firefox window as new tab. At the moment it can be done through dragging link onto tab bar in between tabs, but due to small space, this can easily result in dragging link onto page tab.

Currently, when dragging link onto opened page, it will change the current page instead of opening new tab, which can result in loss of data or important information.

I think it would be safer to have this behavior as default or at least an option to set it active.

I don't know if it's because I don't have the latest version of Firefox. But I cannot find tab grouping. I have checked to see if there is an update, but I can't find any update at all so just wondering what's going on. the version of Firefox I'm using is: 153.0 (Build #2016172927)

I had maybe 8 to 15 container tabs, and they have all disappeared a few times before, i was a bit bothered but i didnt have anything too important there, but this time i had a few container tabs that had stuff that i had to keep there because i wouldnt remember them. now they are all gone, and it really annoying and i dont know how to get them back.

I use Firefox in Windows 11, but when I close it and reopen it, my three open tabs are gone, it is supposed to open them, as checked in settings. I see the same thing happening in the MacOs, but no answers for Windows either.

I have experience with chrome as i used to close the window then open i have my last session all the tabs occuring but in firefox im unable to do that even in settings of startup i have selected to open my previous tabs and windows but nothing opens just a blank screen also i cannot open recently closed tabs by command + shift+ T kindly help it is very annoying as i lose my presvous sessions again and again. I haven't been able to move tabs around for days. Not since I tried to take some 'out' to make a new window, and Firefox straight up crashed ...repeatedly. After I gave up, I noticed the tabs no longer moved.

I ignored it a few days, but its frankly very annoying! I checked for answers & found an old post from 5 yrs ago here & followed the advice. Or I tried to, but when I checked "browser.tabs.allowTabDetach" in "about:config" it was already set to "true". I even toggled it a few times (I even tried to see if it would move when set to false! ...counterintuitive, but I figured it was worth a try?)

Anyhow "browser.tabs.allowTabDetach" is still set to true, and I'm not about to go monkeying with all that :\

(fair warning, while I know how to alter a config under clear instructions ...my experience with such things starts and ends with the config files for Stardew Valley mods)

In Settings I have checked the box to open previous windows and tabs and yet it doesn't open any of them .

This started happening after a ran a Norton Cleanup session. are there some Mozilla files I need to delete to reinitialize them

Can the quantity of tabs ever get so large that finally one more tab wont open? What are the max count of tabs recommended, and when should they be removed to start over?

I just lost ALL my open tabs AGAIN!!! This's the 3rd time !!!!! Restore previous tabs IS NOT IN THE Menu > History AGAIN per Mozilla's method!! Frankly, I'm tired & overwrought this keeps happening WHEN IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO!!

7/7/2026 Last night Firefox on my laptop performed an automatic update to the latest Firefox version. The new Firefox has a very bad setting in about;config .. this new Firefox can only show 1 tab ... it is opening up a new tab on top of the first tab, making it impossible to have more than 1 tab ..

This is going cause problems for thousands of Firefox users .. . how I fix this problem ... I tried setting the add tab settings into about;config to add a new tab to the right of the current tab, but my change made no difference ... how can I fix this problem ... does Firefox have a plan on how to fix for this problem for thousands of Firefox users.. this problem will impact thousands of Firefox users..
