We want to use Firefox on a locked down system where the user will not be able to go to other websites. We looked at using Kiosk mode, but we want to allow tabs. How can we hide the address bar before the browser is opened and without registry changes?

I do not and will not use the sidebar/vertical tabs features.

Unfortunately, it seems that firefox has decided to reactivate these features with an update? This is unacceptable. I do not want my settings to be altered with a software update. If firefox wants to tell me about a new feature, feel free to make a dialogue bubble pop up (once) asking if I'd like to explore said new features. Otherwise, please refrain from altering my preferred configuration without permission or notification. Doing so is completely asinine at best and shows open contempt for your customer base at worst.

I do not wish to give mozilla/firefox another opportunity to make my experience worse, thusly I ask: Is there anyway to entirely remove/disable the sidebar/vertical tabs feature from the browser so that it cannot be reactivated without the specific actions of the user?

When I click on Bookmarks, all I see are the following:

Manage bookmarks Bookmark current tab Bookmark all tabs

Bookmarks Toolbar Other bookmarks

What happened to the entry that shows my bookmarks ?

I'm baffled by the statement of my Browser being managed by my organization since I am a single, non connected entity and have no organization, nor do I want one. I want control since I'm the one paying for it's use. Can you explain how to return control to me and only me? Thanks, KG

For some reason Firefox remembered my phone number and is now trying to use it as a login when I attempt to login or register in any service. I've checked my saved passwords and autofill data, but I cannot find it, there's only usernames and passwords, and I have no saved autofill data, no phone number. Where can I look for it to remove it?

Translation languages related issues. Firefox doesn't contained all the languages to translate page. This is a big mistake by your developer. Now a days most of browser translate pages into Hindi and Gujarati language. Fix this or I've to go back to use Google Chrome browser as before.

Hi, I have all kinds of ad blockers in my Firefox and today I logged into my music only to have ads coming in one after another. This happened once before a couple of years ago and some how after I complained the ads disappeared again. Now I need the same help.

Question above. Enabling sidebar (for vertical tabs) stops Wikipedia at any zoom from autodisplaying the Table of contents for an individual page.

I really wish I could stop this. Love vertical tabs. Love the Wikipedia Contents displayed by default. Can't have both.

editing a pdf and browser is red underlining words as spelled incorrectly when in fact they are real words and spelled correctly. for example dendrology is being underlined (in this message as well) and it is suggesting demonology instead. How is it that browser recognizes demonology but not dendrology ???

On June 10, 2025, Windows installed an automatic update. This caused my Dell laptop to freeze every 2 to 3 minutes and I would reboot and start over. After 4 days of this trying every fix I could think of, I took it to the local computer repair shop. He said my video driver was bad. I think that was caused by an interaction with the Windows update. He fixed the video driver. Now the problem is I can increase the font size in Firefox fine, but I can't increase the tab and address bar sizes no matter what I do. I have been searching for days and trying everything suggested. Do I have to take it back to the repair shop or can you help me?

I understand, it's not an easy task, but the browser becomes unusable, if every time I install a new extension, there is no quality check whatsoever, and I end up having to restart in troubleshoot mode to find out which extension is causing parts of the webiste I am visiting to now show up. It's just frustrating. I very much value having to many extensions and that's why I use Firefox on a mac as the main browser, but something has to be done. Extensions should satisfy some basic rules and not cause malfunctioning!

I need help for if i search a site it automatically fills out stuff i dont want like instead of me needing this www.(site).com it dose www.(site).com/de and i DO NOT want this de at the end bc yesterday it all worked fine but since de is there it dosnt work anymore and i cant remove de it gets automatically added back

I want to use the new search bar, but my Firefox browser shows the old address and search bars. I have been upgraded to Firefox 140.0. I am using Windows 11 on a desktop. How do I make the change? Thank you.
