I received a scam Apple (security) popup (on which I never clicked) and from that point on, some 30+ obsolete tabs congregate across the top Firefox browser window. How do i lose all these unwanted tabs?

I have been having problems with Firefox on my Desktop-PC for about a week now: I am almost always shown another tab with an error message (an new tab with allways the same content) in addition to the website that is regularly called up and also works:

Tab-Headline: Seiten-Ladefehler Fehler: Verbindung fehlgeschlagen

Beim Verbinden mit 0.0.0.1 trat ein Fehler auf.

   Die Website könnte vorübergehend nicht erreichbar sein, versuchen Sie es bitte später nochmals.
   Wenn Sie auch keine andere Website aufrufen können, überprüfen Sie bitte die Netzwerk-/Internetverbindung.

It doesn't matter which regular website I call up - it also happens when I call up the Mozilla Firefox page.

It is as if my website call is executed twice: once normally and everything is displayed correctly. And once as an extra tab with an alleged page loading error where the connection has failed.

How can I prevent these additional tabs with the error message from constantly popping up and being displayed? I have not made any other settings and Firefox has always worked perfectly so far. It doesn't happen with Google Chrome, for example - so it's not my PC.

Can you help me?

I have managed to figure out ways to remove items from context menus from various pages here and around the web however it always seems to leave an additional unwanted separator line that I cannot find how to get rid of.

There are a number of additional lines I am looking to remove but the current one that is annoying me (based on most usage) is the additional line between 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' and Search which is an add-on - Simple Context Search - https://tinyurl.com/yck5c (as shown in the attachment).

I did have 'search google for...' directly above the 'Search for Google' option which I removed.

I also removed 'Copy Link' which was above the 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' option which I also removed.

Hope the above makes sense and any help greatfully appreciated.

Whenever i sign into youtube and then close the window when i come back ive been signed out and have to sign in again. i have "delete cookies and site data when firefox is closed" off and dont know what else to do

This is a problem I've had for a while and thought it would be eventually fixed, but no luck so far.

TL;DR - Almost every time I add or remove monitors my Firefox hangs.

More context: I use a PC laptop and constantly switch from using just the laptop screen to using just a set of two monitors, with the laptop closed. What I do is, I lock my machine, with Firefox open on the laptop screen, connect the monitors, close the laptop lid, and unlock the machine. That causes Firefox to hang and I'm forced to kill it and open it back again. It usually reopens all tabs without a problem but the issue is pretty annoying.

My current version is 125.0.2 and I'm sure the problem dates from several versions

Firefox slows down when I use web developer tools, I use this whenever I try to save an image on Instagram or other sites that I go to just to save an image or look for the video using the web tools.

Is there a way to fix this issue it lags the browser or it freezes for a second.

I find it very difficult using Awsome screenshot, in fact I never use it, but used to use it, when it was on my tool bar, can I get it back there.

I cannot drag it from "customise tool bar" as it does not show there, it shows in my list of add ons, I have tried removing it, then reinstalling it.

I was using Amazon just fine a few days ago. When I tried to open an amazon link yesterday, I got the message: Secure Connection Failed. I tried updating my browser and clearing my cache and cookies. Please fix

Please see the attached screenshot. I get this popup EVERY TIME I open FireFox. I've tried a number of different suggested "fixes" from Google Searches with no success.

I want this popup GONE.

Hello everyone, a long time ago i changed my youtube name to something else and to this day it never updated on firefox. Yesterday i finally asked youtube support about it and they told me to check with mobile or other browsers and there it works fine, so only firefox is borking out on that one. Do you have an idea how i can solve that?

After Firefox updates itself, the restarted browser session is unresponsive to mouse clicks - can't follow links, can't respond to UI dialog boxes, the browser is unusable for practical purposes. It's fixed after another manual restart. This unfortunately breaks all the streamlining Firefox has done to restore the session after an update, because none of that stuff works the same after a manual quit and restart. This is happening on MacOS, and it happens across multiple computers.

Everything in the firefox browser looks like it was stretched it out in MSPaint, while my actual OS interface and every other app/software UI looks fine. I have tried simply restarting my computer, as well as every solution in the linked thread, as well as refreshing firefox, and uninstalling/reinstalling, which only served to mess up my shortcuts on the home page. To be clear:

• Hardware acceleration is turned OFF, as suggested in any thread I've found where a resolution issue is addressed.
• setting layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.25 specifically makes it almost legible. Almost. It's still incredibly grainy. Any higher even a small portion of a webpage takes up a ridiculous portion of my screen, rendering it just as unusable.
• In messing around in config, I found that setting gfx.color_management.rendering_intent to 5 helped, in so far as it sharpened things up a little, but it did not FIX the issue. Any value above 5 seems to have zero effect or change.
• Absolutely EVERYTHING else except firefox looks absolutely fine. It is ONLY firefox that is having this issue of all the applications/interfaces on my computer.
• Everything in firefox is affected- images, text, the tabs and address bar, bookmarks bar, absolutely everything.

since my last update (125.0.2 (64-bit)), an additional website always opens when I open a website in Firefox. This is called "Page load error" in the tab; the content of the page is as follows:

Error: Connection failed

An error occurred while connecting to 0.0.0.1.

   The website may be temporarily unavailable, please try again later.
   If you are also unable to access another website, please check the network/Internet connection.
   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, please make sure that Firefox is allowed to access the Internet.

How can I prevent this additional page from opening?

After the latest update to 125.0.2 (64-bit) the browser works fine for a few minutes and then pages won't load. It starts working again after a restart [ for a few minutes]. I have cleared the cache & data. Chrome works ok.
