I just updated last night to version 98.0 of Firefox, and have noticed that when I click on manage bookmarks that the boomarks now open at the bottom of the various bookmarks folders by default instead of opening at the top like they used to. What happened here? I am including a picture to show where the manage bookmarks section is going by default now instead of where it normally does. Can anyone help fix this?

Lately I am getting a lot of spam emails. Is there a way to get rid of them permanently? Are there any free add=ons to install that will block them out? Please reply.

Since Firefox 98, whenever a file is downloaded or a page is captured (using add-on Page Saver WE) a display/pop-up appears in the top right-hand corner of the screen (or possibly under the 'Display Download Progress 'button'). Previously, this prompt/display/pop-up would disappear after a few seconds. Now it stays there until there is a mouse click anywhere on the screen (including outside the Firefox window). This is presumably a bug and it is also extremely irritating. Please change this back to the way it used to be (disappearing after a few seconds) or provide an option to specify how long the prompt/display/pop-up should be visible - like the 'new mail' prompt from Thunderbird. I got into Firefox and Poof! All of the Tabs at the top of the screen were gone. The "Recently Closed Tabs" offering in History is not highlighted. I've used that before to get them back. Now, how do I get them back? I was saving them for reading later. I'd like ME to be in charge of Tabs. Seems like I'm not. All tips welcome! Thank you. CD Happel

I was working on my work on a Google Doc, and when I tried changing the font, Firefox immediately crashed after clicking the font box. When I restarted, Japanese characters turned into boxes with codes in it. I have the Japanese language installed on my system and it works fine on my system. I also have the Japanese language installed on my browser. Other characters appear as the same thing, but I don't know for sure what they are other than Chinese and Korean. My cursor also changed to what looks like a hand pointing at something whenever I hover over something, however I am unable to provide a clear screenshot of that so I can only provide pictures of the messed up Japanese characters.

How would I fix this?

System OS: Ubuntu 21.10 Firefox Version: 99.0

I see the thread was closed without a solutuion. The CIRCUMVENTION being 'fiddling' about with 'config'. Just to re-state.... Since Firefox 98, PDF files that are OPENED within Firefox are also automatically (and INCORRECTLY) downloaded. If the PDF file is subsequently requested to be downloaded (using the 'button' within the PDF display/window), Firefox will either: Prompt stating that the file already exists; or (if the user picks his/her own filename) a 2nd copy of the file will be downloaded. Sorry to be direct but THIS IS A BUG THAT NEEDS FIXING.

Help me fix Firefox so it reaches the English version of www.ebay.com. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it and this still happens. Ebay is the only site at which this happens,'

when I input www,ebay.com in any other browser, I am brought to the correct version of eBay.

PC goes to sleep and app running is Firefox with webpage for Facebook the focus when it is awakened my system crashes. I have spoken to Microsoft and they have checked out my PC but cannot say that what they have done will resolve the issue as the machine wakes perfectly when the web page in focus is anything else. Do not know if it is a firefox or facebook problem but a problem it certainly is. One of you or both in combination causes windows to crash in these circumstances. As Microsoft has done its thing with reguard to windows and my PC and because it only seems to happen with a combination of firefox and facebook they don't think they have a problem but it is with their development team for further investigation. You now need to investigate. I have the report problems to firefox box checked so if you need anything further please get in touch.

I think someone tried to hack my account. I was stupid enough to order a product online and give all my info. Firefox locked me out. I can't log in. I changed my password but can't let Firefox know I did. I REALLY need to get back in to Firefox! I trust it and don't trust the other browsers!

My Firefox 78 browser is supposed to auto update when a new version comes out. I need Firefox 98 in order to use FreshBooks but for some reason the browser is not updating. So how can I fix the auto update?

Currently I am using Firefox 99.0.1. When I am in my mailbox and open a received file, firefox asks me what to do, I give the command to open it, and it open and at the same time is automatically downloaded in the download folder. I changed different setting to avoid downloading, with no result. Then I installed an older version 82.0.3. and this problem does not exist there. So please help me to change the settings of the newer firefox 99.0.1 to open files without downloading them Thanks,Josef Petrov

Hi I would like to get information how to fix my issue with Firefox on Windows 10. I am using the latest version of FF, I have disabledd all plugins/addoms, and when I am trying to add payment method on https://my.gomo.ie/home it's not working, when I try to pay my bill on the same site, also not working and error messages (nothing specific), on other websites, I can't use ReCaptcha. Everything mentioned above is working in incognito mode of Firefox, so I am guessing something is blocking sites in the standard version of Firefox, and I have no idea what, to summary: - Updated browser - All installed plugins are disabled (at the time, now I've come back to all of them) - Catche files and history cleared - Browser restarted - Windows 10 is updated

We had problems completing IRS fillable forms on our Mac. After processing a major update on the Mac, we tried to open Firefox, but instead got the message "A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one Firefox can be open at time." The Firefox we are trying to open is the only one there.

I have a local Firefox profile that's contains all my saved passwords bookmarks and history. Therefore all my firefox data are saved on my local harddrive and they can't be sync across different devices unless I manually export/import them. If i create a new Firefox account, is it possible that I can import all my existing local passwords, bookmarks, history, etc onto my newly create Firefox account so they can be sync across different devices. If so, how?

I've installed u-block but the problem still exist. How to re-format firefox and start as new.
