Migrating Problem (Solution Can't Include Synching)

I've migrated everything from an old desktop to a new desktop and this is being written on the new one. Firefox has been transferred and all my bookmarks have made the move accurately. However, my entire list of log-ins, passwords, add-ons, etc., have NOT made the move. So my question is about how to transfer those, but my situation is slightly abnormal.

I do not have a smart phone. Further, I cannot set up the old desktop and the new desktop so they both function at the same time. However, I do have complete backups in the cloud. What I need is the name of the Firefox file(s) that I can obtain from the cloud and insert into the Firefox iteration I have running on the new desktop.

If I was able to synch a transfer would be easier. But it can't be all that much harder if I can get the name and location of the necessary profile folder or file.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I was casually browsing on my Firefox like I do everyday. But this orange frame (I attached a picture) appeared from no where and I can't simply find a solution how do I get rid of it. Is this a new design element on Firefox or is it something else? I have AdBlocker and Avast installed as addons.

Approximately 2 days ago, Firefox it's giving me problem with my RAM. The RAM in question is a 8GB DDR4. As you can see from the screenshots, Firefox consumes 50% of my RAM with only 1 tab opened. There is some wat to resolve this or I have to wait for an update? Or I have to upgrade my RAM to 16GB?

While using HTTPS Only Mode, and following links from my GMail Account, I often get the "not available" Firefox landing page, when actually the "ultimate" link is HTTPS. When I select the option to "Continue" from the FF Landing Page, it will land on the https site.

It appears the initial link is a 3rd party intermediary (* see below) that manages for the sender.

Intermediary Link: http://click1.e.westernjournalism.com/hmvwhljsrclzhlwdzsnvlzlvlnznmpbjmjcfnwpvswmbwss_zdbbwmsmzskrlrdszpzzz.html

How do I get around this annoyance?

Thank you!

Have upgraded to Firefox 88.0 on Mac. Have also recently cleared history, but have reinstated the web sites where I want my cookies retained.

In the past, I could quit Firefox and when I next boot it, my daily sites like Yahoo and Ebay do not require password log-in since I have "exempted" them from being cleared on the previous Firefox quit.

I do use "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" - but this is where the exceptions should come into play.

Until just recently this all worked fine. Now it does not and am required to re-log in after a fresh boot.

Any suggestions? Thanks. - jr

Is there a way I can detect a pending update and restart firefox? I'm on MacOS. We're updating browsers in an enterprise environment and we allow automatic update but the user doesn't restart the browser to complete the update. If there's a way to detect this I can prompt the user myself. Unless there's a policy I can enforce that would work better.

In the past I have frequently used "Take A Screenshot" by positioning the cursor at the 3 dots (vertical ellipsis) near the end of the address bar input area and selecting the now missing function. Presently I have upgraded to Firefox version 88 on windows 10 and can not find anyplace to turn this function back on in the configuration section. SOLUTIONS ANYONE, I NEED THIS BACK?

Note: I want to restore the function under the ellipsis and do not desire to use Ctrl-Shift-S.

The theme I am using has never made my new tab screen show up like it's in dark mode. The new tab used to show up like it was in light mode and I don't know how to get it back. The theme I am using has not updated so I don't think it is that. I have also tried switching to some other themes and it hasn't changed it to the white new tab screen. Up until last week I was able to stream online content. Now, the sites are telling me I have Adblock on. I do not. I have ZERO extensions added on. I have almost made my computer unsafe by the amount of tracking I have allowed. I have disabled everything reasonably possible. Now even unsafe content is allowed. I have unistalled Firefox and reinstalled. I have factory reset Firefox. I have clicked on the shield to whitelist the sites. Still it says "Adblock". What hidden setting is causing this??? I have gone onto 50 pages where people try and solve this issued, I have watched 100 YouTube videos and they always give the same answer, which is unhelpful. I tried one where I had to change javascript to "false" but all that did was stop me being able to even load the streaming sites totally, so did not solve the problem. I am considering putting my entire mac onto factory re-set at this point, I am totally out of solutions.

Dear Support Team, since the update before the last it is no longer possible to jump back within a page or to a former page with the backspace key. This is, at least to me, very annoying. Aspecially when i am using my laptop. Personally i prefer using short cuts rather than the mouse or touchpad. Somehow i suppose that function was disabled through the updates. Would you please look in to this subject and enable that function again? I´d appreciate it very much.

Kind regards, Ilona aka Nellifer5

Unable to sign in to my email account for Spectrum (Charter.net) using Firefox. Other browsers work. I called tech support at Spectrum and they told me this is a known problem with firefox that they get regular calls about. They are advising customers to use a different brower and do not know what is causing the problem or if it will get fixed. Clearing the startup cache for Firefox DOES NOT fix the problem for me. Running the current version of Windows 10 64 bit pro version on a 4 month old HP Pavilion laptop. Firefox has adblock installed.

Since Charter is aware of the problem and is solving it by telling people not to use Firefox, I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this and has a solution. I cleared the startup cache several times and that didn't change anything.
