Am having difficulties on a Windows operating system using a Gmail email set-up and having trouble with a proxy arrangement whereby Microsoft/Outlook connects to one of my two gmail accounts that are linked together and often times, my emails that are important do not go out using my default request for Gmail and instead Microsoft intrudes because of their customers who wish to know my uses as a user on the internet prompting requests to change browser, email responses that claim no delivery, and further troubles all while I am ready to start my online business. For page loads, fastest is Mozilla. Further information is needed please. Name: Kevin Michael Callihan Sr, 2 emails with gmail: [edited email from public] @gmail.com and [edited email from public] @gmail.com, then another outlook account added because Microsoft claimed it was needed when it was for sake of greed and profits: [edited email from public] @outlook.com *I would not share this unless a belief in trusted caretakers online exist knowing the dominant system is Microsoft/Windows which is why I sense something being wrong, on occasion. Send any and all emails to [edited email from public] @gmail.com PLEASE

When I am in about:preferences#general, the Find in Settings box has it's active field set up right when access to this page is provided, when I off-click to the side of that box, it does nothing about the control field which is active, highlighting stuff can make that blinking stop and hold in a static state but only clicking other control areas can I get that active field to stop blinking in the Settings box, that forced active field is a pet peeve for me on account of it starting active when the page goes up but also because it has an invisible hitbox outside the visible one, and cannot be offclicked in a casual way, I want that not to be active when that page opens and I want the hitbox reduced to the visible one and I want an offclick in the rest of the white field to deactivate the active field in the Settings box.

I frequently have difficulty when I need to make plain-test copies of web pages. These are pages that only allow "Select All" to select parts of pages, so that important parts of the pages cannot be selected, or so that a large number of select-and-copy cycles are required to copy the information on a webpage. The Firefox extensions that I have tried like the old "right to click" do not seem to help much. With old versions of Windows, I would use print-to-file for a generic plain-text printer, but that does not provide a readable file on Win 10.

I frequently find these problems on web pages with survey questions. This web page is a very simple example where multiple cycles of select-and-copy are required: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/desktop/form People who have accounts on Meetup.com should see an egregious example on this page: https://www.meetup.com/account/interests/

Thanks for any help, Lloyd

Recently the web push notifications got a popup UI that is really disturbing. Show up on all desktops etc., it interrupts me in what I’m doing. I really very strongly dislike this change.

I would like to revert to how it was before (pre-76.0 ? Not sure exactly which version): - notifications get sent to my desktop/OS’s notification center (running OpenSuse + KDE), - no popup is displayed when a notification is triggered.

That way: - notifications will respect the OS « do not disturb » mode, - notifications get shown through a unified UI for all applications, - I can pick how « interrupting » I want each notification to be, - In particular I can focus while on my computer without being interrupted, and poll the notifications occasionally.

Is there a way (maybe a about:config option) to keep notifications but disable the popup behaviour?

Like many folks, I have somehow toggled 'Run as Administrator' and then become frustrated as Firefox asks every single time a tab or page opens if I want 'to allow Firefox to make changes to your computer'. Frustrating.

I've seen several answers to go to the 'Compatibility' tab and uncheck 'Run as Administrator' - but that did not seem to be solving the problem. I know it didn't for me!

It seems there is ANOTHER place to deactivate 'Run as Administrator'...and it supersedes the Compatibility input.

Firefox Properties => Shortcut => Advanced. Uncheck 'Run as Administrator'. The problem was solved for me, hope it works for you, too!

My office recently adopted SharePoint to replace our VM Ware servers for storing shared data. My colleagues are able to drag and drop email attachments and files from FileExplorer into SharePoint, but I cannot. Finally I realized they use Chrome, Edge, Explorer and other browsers and this functionality works fine. It's only Firefox where it does not. Is there an add on, extension or setting to address the shortcoming. I love Firefox, but if it cannot drag and drop to SharePoint like every other browser does, I will be compelled to (reluctantly and regrettably) make a switch. Please help!

I really would like to able to keep the results of sorting bookmarks.

So why is that so hard If you want to keep an old sort order, then you need to keep an index by old pointer and have a mode to revert.

But when I try to look thru 50 bookmarks for a particular one, it is so nice to see them in alphabetic order.

What command line option(s) should I use to open several URLs as tabs in a NEW private browsing window. So, if a private browsing window is already open, a new window should be opened.

I use my bookmarks to keep track of fanfiction I want to read on archiveofourown.org. The site features a 'history' section itself. Recently I noticed that stories I've bookmarked say that I've visited them way more than I have. The 'How many times you've visited this page' ranges between 30 and 500 times for each story, when I've only actually clicked on them once myself as I bookmarked them. Is firefox constantly opening/pinging my bookmarks and is that what is being reflected on archiveofourown.org?

Thanks!
