Hi, I'm using Firefox version 94.0.2 and I realize Firefox doesn't offer ant video downloader any longer, however I still choose to but cannot find the toolbar icon. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still it's not there. Can anyone tell me how I can get it back? I have video download helper but it's far slower and malfunctions a lot. Also ant works on more of the sites I visit and I have tried so many that claim to work & some do but they use 2-3 times as much data for the same video & the same quality? I'm not very techy but I cannot believe there is any reason for some to use 2-3 times as much data for the identical video & quality. Thanks for any help have a great day

I need a way to tell geckodriver to automatically download xml files with no dialog, so I've been setting browser.helperApps.neverAsk.saveToDisk to text/xml so it should automatically save all xml files. However, there is still a dialog, and if I check about:preferences, it tells me xml files are still set to open in firefox, even when looking up browser.helperApps.neverAsk.saveToDisk in about:config shows that text/xml is the current value. Is there any way to fix this, or to just change about:config programatically with a firefox profile in selenium?

I am developing a JavaScript CSS HTML Canvas application using VS Code and Firefox. As the code renders graphics to the canvas - the size of the canvas is critical. Identifying chages in screen size works perfectly for normal resizing events. However - going into fullscreen mode does not work. I have tried a number of different event listeners:

document.addEventListener('fullscreenchange', setCanvasDimensions, false);

document.addEventListener('mozfullscreenchange', setCanvasDimensions, false);
document.addEventListener('MSFullscreenChange', setCanvasDimensions, false);
document.addEventListener('webkitfullscreenchange', setCanvasDimensions, false);

None of these events fire when the screen goes into fullscreen mode. My apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere or if this is a total newbie problem - I have searched for a solution although none seem to work. Any help with this would be appreciated. Stay safe.

Update: I was able to find the problem and fix it.

Instead of looking like normal buttons it look more like Keyboard_Arrow_Left or View_List, instead of Back or Tools respectively. This is a big issue since the larger and more descriptive text gets in the way of some important things that I need to be able to see. I'm not very tech savvy, so I hope someone can help me in basic English.

Thanks

I updated to FF v98.0.0 today, only to be horrified at the download system that makes it so downloads go to only one location... I RELY on Firefox remembering download locations per website... this is ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL for me as I grab program updates/downloads from countless websites and need them to go into specific folders I use for each..

Mozilla continues to ruin Firefox these days and I have been with Firefox since the beginning, FF(v2) or FF(v4) losing the XUL/XPCOM extension system was near the final straw.. but losing features I rely on is ridiculous..

I am putting my feedback here as I can't seem to find anywhere else to put it as the old bookmarked links for feed back don't work anymore.. I need a better replacement web-browser that is not Chrome etc...

Ever since you removed print preview, printing things from email or websites is a nightmare. I often end up with the page being reduced in size and only on the top left corner of 8.5 x11 inch page. Doesn't matter if use "fit to width" or try to figure out what % of the page I want to fill, 100% or less. The box that is supposed to "help" is worthless. When print preview was part of the dialog, you could see exactly what it was going to print before you did it and make adjustments. Now I have to print to see exactly what it is going to print, and it is usually WRONG and then I have to try to imagine what to do to get it corrected! Who thought this was an improvement?

Whenever FF (Minefield) is launched, a minute or two or so after the launch, a few seconds of music is played. Not a recently introduced issue but happening for a long time ("years").

Reinstalling FF doesn't resolve this for me. Actually I run into this issue on both Wndows 8/10 and MacOS. I tried using a completely fresh install in a virtual box and issue still occurred.

Just for a few seconds - but rather disturbing and humiliating when in office/ public environment and volume is still up from i.e. online meeting or a previous (bad) audio connection.

FWIW: on MacOS is seems to me that the native Music app is being launched in the background which starts playing whatever is at the top of your playlist. Any suggestions from your end to resolve? And/or perhaps any relation with FF account?

Thx!

Hello,

I try to run Oracle E-Business Suite from Firefox. Oracle EBS downloads a formservlet.jnlp file.

Unfortunately, Firefox REMOVES the .jnlp file extension systematically with this file. And therefore not able to run it automatically.

This was working fine previously. No idea why suddenly it does not work anymore ( upgrade ?).

Any idea/help would be appreciated. Best Regards Jean-Luc

As our association's secretary, I have a grouping of over 130 email addresses that I have to correspond with at one time. Of these 130 emails, they have various email suffixes (eg @gmail.com, @hotmail.com, @aol.com, etc). However, when I do a mass emailing, all the @optonline.net emails (12 in all) are returned as:

MESSAGE NOT DELIVERED. 451 4.7.1 Spam detected. Message contains objectionable content 6204D1F805820BF1

Is there a reason why this particular email suffix is being kicked back? I use a gmail account to send out the mass emailings and I am using Mozilla Firefox for Acer (acer-002 - 2.0)

Almost every month there are updates to firefox requiring more and more attention to this software instead of helping me concentrate on my work and my thoughts. Instead you ask for a measure of attention circling around your own developing community. To me you are mainly competing with microsoft or others, I don't care. I am too old to waste life time on things like that, and complexity is no excuse. Instead, the return to very simple but safe functions is what I want, at least as a choice. What do I need? A simple obvious return function in case of accidental tab replacement without endless chronicle research, a one-step return to websites marked as favorites, to mention a few. Basically a return to a MARKING SAVING FINDING stone age version of Mozilla anyone can choose as alternative. Would that scare you? Thanks for your attention, m.bönisch
