Dear Firefox,

Will there ever be an option to quickly skim through parts of a webpage using "option+down" or "option+up" like there is in Chrome? It helps scrolling through long websites.

Thanks a lot, R

I am having huge difficulty connecting to bit.ly links on Firefox for Mac. I get the error message:

The page isn’t redirecting properly. Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I have no issues accessing the links on Chrome or Safari.

I am a heavy keyboard use, even for basic navigation. After a recent update, toggling the spacebar no longer checks an unchecked checkbox on an HTML form. I can tab to the specific checkbox and see that it's selected, but hitting the spacebar no longer does anything. This is not limited to a specific website.

Any advice or a fix to restore this functionality? Thanks in advance!

Hey there...Mozillians? Hopefully that's the right word here.

Just wanted to pass along this issue to get it on your radar. I have an M1 Mac mini and I've noticed a peculiar bug that seems to be a combination of a bug in Firefox and a bug in MacOS. Let's say I fire up my Mac, browse the internet for a while and step away for the night (and computer doesn't go to sleep...disabled that - anyway).

I come back to my computer a while later, maybe 6-10 hours or so. When I come back, Firefox seems to be completely hung up and wifi is completely broken on MacOS. I cannot load any pages, and while I can close Firefox windows the application itself will not actually close until I use the MacOS force close menu. No applications at this point can access network resources until the Mac is rebooted, which cannot happen until Firefox is force closed, like described earlier.

Anyway, if there is any info you need, feel free to let me know and I'll try to get it for you. Happy to help wherever I can.

Through last week, I was able to listen to online podcasts like: https://www.nytimes.com/column/the-daily https://www.thisamericanlife.org/

As of this morning, neither website allows me to listen using Firefox. I can on Safari but not Firefox. On the New York Times The Daily website, it says: The selected audio format is currently not supported in this browser.

This is a really odd issue... I have two Mac user accounts, primary and secondary. When I'm using my secondary Mac user account while my primary account is still logged in in the background (with Firefox open), Firefox in my primary account will start closing my tabs one at a time... roughly one every 10-20 minutes or so.

So if I'm using my secondary account for like half an hour, when I switch back to the primary one, the last 2 or 3 tabs will have been closed. If I'm logged into the secondary account for a few hours and then switch back to the primary, the last 6 or 7 tabs will be closed.

The closed tabs are in my Recently Closed Tabs list and appear to have been closed manually, but obviously weren't because I wasn't even logged in to that user account. It's not an addon issue, and I can't figure out what else could be causing this extremely weird bug. Any ideas???

I always use Firefox as my preferred browser on my Macs but am unable to get it to stick on my new 24-inch iMac that I just received a couple of days ago. Does anyone know if there is a bug when using this brand new iMac? I keep going in and setting it in preferences and checking "Restore previous session" and it works for a while and then goes back to Safari and I lose all my tabs. I was doing some banking so exited out of Firefox several times and sometimes my previous session was restored but then, after a few times, it went back to Safari. Then I went back into Firefox and my previous session was gone again. Thanks for any help that you can offer.

Good day Firefox under macOS behaves differently than Firefox under Windows or Linux. When I want search a word or a phrase on a page I click on word, or select the phrase, and press shortcut Ctrl-f. Selected word or phrase is already copied into search field. That works on Windows and Linux. On MacOS I have to click on word, press Cmd-c, Cmd-f, and Cmd-v. Why? Interesting is if I was looking for a word in Safari, the same word will be already under Firefox search field.

How I can change this behavior? Is it to possible to do it?

Best regards, Piotr

My goodness, why is Firefox absolutely crushing my RAM?? I only have about 25 tabs about between two windows and a handful of extensions. 10+GB RAM being used for that is madness. My machine I'm using the recommended performance settings and I have enhanced tracking on. My machine is fairly powerful and yet my fans were running at full speed and it got VERY hot during a basic 1 on 1 Google Meet call today as well

Hello, I typically have one or two of the usual TV streaming sources open, with a video/movie/show paused. About once a day, one of them starts playing without any input from me. This prevents re-starting viewing at the point I paused it, and forces a somewhat laborious search for the proper starting point. This happens with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and Peacock, and it happens when one or two of these services are open. I am on a MacBook Pro, running 10.15.7 Catalina, and Firefox version 88.0 64-bit. Thanks.
