I uninstalled Office 2019 and then installed it. When I tried to use Firefox an error message appeared that it could not find Firefox starting point (or something similar). So, I installed Firefox again using Edge browser but other errors came up where it couldn't find certain system files.

Well, I loaded Office 2019 and then Firefox appeared again but there were 2 Firefox icons. One icon said do you want to make Firefox the default browser. The other icon had Firefox as the default browser.

So, I have 3 questions. I deleted the wrong (new) desktop firefox icon. How can I create the firefox icon for the correct icon?

Next question, there is only one Firefox application listed in the add/remove programs function. Should I uninstall and reinstall with the possibility of losing firefox history?

I created an firefox account to ask my questions. Upon sending the code from the email that was sent to me an error occurred - something like bad page or something similar. I tried to continue and got to here to ask my question but there was a message that said my account was not active. Is it or not?

Thanks, Roy

CIBC online banking doesn't load on Firefox. Works fine in Chrome. Uniqlo's Canadian site won't load on Firefox. Works fine in Chrome. Many sites either don't load or are super slow and buggy (like Facebook half the time) when using Firefox. Banking sites don't work well with Firefox, but are fine with Chrome.

I am getting kind of tired having to use 2 browsers. Firefox used to be my go-to but a couple years ago, everything I needed to use (online banking, shipping, e-commerce stuff) either wouldn't load or would take so long, I just started using Chrome.

Are these issues ever going to get resolved, or do I have to continually delete cookies and history (huge PITA) only for Firefox to continue not to work like it used to. I think it's time to break up for good.

(Firefox 97.0.1 (64bit) on Windows 10)

I'm using Enhanced Tracking Protection with 3rd party cookie (pic. 1) blocked and also I'm using option "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" (pic. 2) with some exceptions (pic. 3). And here is a thing: this exception (for vk.com) allows to bypass 3rd party cookie blocking (on metro-cc.ru, pic. 4), if certain exception appears as 3rd party (vk.com). So I can't these two options in parallel.

Is it bug or feature?

After updating to FF97.0.1 (64Bit) under Windows 10 (German) the Session Restore isn't anymore working. Setting in the FF-Control isn't changed and correct to restore previous open windows and tabs, but it isn't doing anything - no PopUp for restoring and no restore at all.

The menu in browsing history for restoring the previous session isn't available anymore. Fortunately the startupCache directory is still available will all the necessary files. How can I force FF to load the startupCache 'startupCache.8.little?

Thanks in advance for your support!

It's been around 2 months when I saw this error and since then it's been pathetic using Firefox. Every 8 or 10 minutes, only the google sites ( like google search engine, gmail, scholar etc.) do not respond and reloading the page pops-up "Secure connection failed". This does not end until I restart the browser. Don't see a way to fix this :/

When I log into Oracle's Agile a new window should open -- and did until Monday (21 Feb 2022). Now the window does not appear. There is no info box telling me that the popup is blocked, the fields with the entered credential is cleared. I have turned off pop ups blocking, same behavior -- no window opening. Have heard that over the weekend my company rolled out an Agile update and a security policy update -- but the Agile window does appear when using Edge or Chrome, or even Internet Explorer. Any tips on which configuration I can check or how to turn on debugging info that I could send to the company's IT support team?

Hello! Hope this message finds you well and safe during this Pandemic. This is my issue: I don't have access (physical access / I can't touch it) to a device that I never log off and has a lot of my Firefox Tabs open. I will like to know, please: How to Move the tabs from that device to the one I am currently using now, which I am already log in and using my Firefox account? And, please, I am a newbie, so could you explain it as basic as you can? Thank you very much in advance.

(P.S.: I have the name of the device that has those tabs, in case it is needed)

I have Firefox browser 97.0 (64-bit) installed. It remembers 30-40 passwords so I always log in with ease, but recently when I go to security tab and click to show saved logins, only 3 would show. All others are remembered and log in fine, but I cannot show them, which only happened recently, so it happened after a newer version was installed, I assume.

How can I show all remembered passwords? Thank you.

When I open a video on Twitch, YouTube,... and put the video on full screen, every time the video gets moved to the right. When I leave the full screen and comes back then the problem doesn't happen any more until I close and re-open Firefox.

I've tried it on my 2560 x 1440 144hz monitor and my 1920 x 1080 60hz, so it isn't due to the resolution of my screen. The problem isn't due to the dual monitor because my screen on the left has the same problem on the same side.

When I opened the Troubleshoot mode the problem was fixed. The extensions I've aren't causing this ( because I've the problem without ) and my theme too because I've none.

I already got this problem a while ago and don't remember how I fixed it. I've putted a screenshot of the top left of my screen.

for some reason, my ability to connect via Firefox (or my other browsers) to Yahoo has stopped. I have cleared out all temporary files and cookies with no resolution. I do not seem to have any difficulties reaching any other sites and I have not changed any settings for my internet network, McAfee security, etc. All my apps and MS operating systems are fully up to date. I know that Yahoo Mail is up and running as I can access on other devices (IPhone, IPad, Samsung phone, etc.)

many thanks for sharing any recommended solutions

Disqus comments do not update for me when using Firefox, but they do update when using other browsers. By update, I mean that when your are on a Disqus comment page, what you should see is a bar at the top stating how many new comments have been added. You should see new responses to comments as a link that you can click on to display the update. You should see "one other person is typing" before a new response is displayed. It is dynamic and real-time. With Firefox, all I see is a static comments page with no updates. I must refresh the page to see changes, and the changes are not highlighted.

To see this behavior, or lack thereof, you must be on an active, popular page that is actually being changed in real time. Below is a link to one at The Hill that is active now.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/595707-biden-says-us-will-sanction-russian-banks-impose-export-controls#bottom-story-socials

If you check it later, the comment window may have become inactive. Then you will need to find another popular story by looking in the right margin of the story display.

The way to see this is to have Firefox and another browser open concurrently on your desktop task bar to the same window. I use Firefox and Edge on my desktop. I use Samsung Internet on my phone. Only Firefox fails to update. Tech support people in my orbit have confirmed this behavior but have no suggestions.

Kindly let me know if there is a fix.

Basically as per the title.

My organisation blocks detectportal.firefox.com at the device level using Windows Defender. Every time Firefox attempts to connect to detectportal.firefox.com I get an intrusive toast telling me about this. I have set network.captive-portal-service.enabled to false in the config, which has greatly reduced the number of connection attempts and therefore intrusive alerts, but it has not stopped them completely. Does anyone know why this is? Is it a bug?

I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 11. Wanting to have the same tabs, history and saved logins as my desktop, I wanted to sync my desktop Firefox account with the new laptop. My desktop is Windows 10 and up to date version of Firefox. When I attempt to sign in to Firefox on the laptop, I get an "Incorrect password" message. I'm using the same email on both computers and have had the account and used Firefox for years. I get the same incorrect password notification when I try to create a recovery key. I checked the passwords page on my desktop browser and the one listed for the Firefox account matches my standalone file. Is there anyway around this? I don't want to lose my bookmarks and password information by resetting the password.
