Google replies to every search request with "Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network...." I need to complete a Captcha exercise to continue.

The Google reply includes an incorrect IP address for my computer.

This problem does not occur with Bing. It does not occur with Google in the Safari browser.

I'm using an iMac running macOS Monterey version 12.4, Firefox 101.0.1.

Can anyone figure this out?

When trying to navigate to OneDrive from Outlook or Hotmail the Microsoft OneDrive page won't load. When you poen the page in a new tab by right clicking on the link and choose to open a new tab, you can then short the link to the .com/ and then the page will load. Edge doesn't have an issue loading OneDrive from any other MS app, just FireFox. Any insight to why? Its a new issue, didn't use to be a problem.

After the most recent firefox upgrade, I noticed that the share button that is a firefox extension doesn't work any more. I just discovered that the share on facebook buttons on pages don't seem to work any more, either. This is extremely inconvenient. Drop-down menus don't work, nor does the "share to Facebook" button at the bottom of the page.

On (maximized) startup, the border surrounding a page's content is too large (image Startup.jpg).

The issue is easy to see when Firefox is resized. The border for an 898 pixel wide window (898.jpg) is very large, while enlarging the window one pixel (899.jpg) results in a small or non-existent border.

Good Morning and win today :)

When I drag and drop, from Firefox nightly to Windows Explorer, some address bar links such as: 1. https://github.com 2. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/CommandLineOptions

...instead of a shortcut, the result is respectively: 1. just a file “GitHub” without extension name; 2. a folder “Firefox” containing this shortcut “CommandLineOptions - MozillaWiki”

Is there a way to modify exportation behavior of the address bar links to solve this problem, please. in a nutshell, how to solve this ?

Note: “Firefox” don’t have this problem, only “Firefox Nightly”

Thanks

So, I've migrated from Chrome to Firefox, and it's great, but I have a couple of issues now. One of them is with web push notifications from Google. First, I had an issue with notifications not showing up at all (or maybe they do show up, but the timeout is short and I miss them), but I've solved that with this in about:config set to tru:

dom.webnotifications.requireinteraction.enabled

Now, notifications do stay on until I click them, but when I click them, all they do is close, disappear. And I'm talking only about YouTube notifications, when I get them from other websites, they work fine, I click on them and the proper link opens.

Any ideas how to solve this?

I'm having trouble with my Wordpress site, bmeisterman.com. When attempting to edit or create a post, when I click that link, it goes to a blank page. Other sections on Wordpress work without issue. I tried this on Safari and it worked flawlessly. I updated Firefox without any improvement. I rebooted the computer, still no difference. I deleted all cookies and cache without improvement. The problem exists only on Firefox. Thoughts?

Hi Support team,

I would like to know what changes have been made after version 94 in firefox which changed the visibility logic. The websites work in background tab without the focus in version 94 where as the latest version requires the tab to be in focus or active. Could you please let me know if there are any config changes made in firefox by default for inactive tabs or tabs which are not focused. If so, could you please let me know what changes are required to get the same behavior for inactive tabs as version 94.

Thank you

When I select the "Copy link" option in the context menu on any webpage, it is about a 70% chance that the link is actually copied to the clipboard. The other 30% of the time, the clipboard retains its previous content. This problem has been occurring for about 6 months, through multiple Firefox upgrades.

My sense is that the problem occurs on tabs that have been open a long time. I don't think it matters which website I attempt to test.

I can repeat this problem right now. I can copy every link on this page. However, in another window I have open, which has been open for a long time, I cannot copy any link on that page.

Any ideas how to fix this problem?

So, here's how CenturyLink responded to my recent "cry for help" (as Rick Astley sang . . .).

I am sorry to hear of the issues you faced trying to find an email address for CenturyLink. There is a known issue with Firefox not working with our website. The best way to access our website is by using Google Chrome and making sure the pop up blockers are not activated. Unfortunately, as the issue is with the Firefox browser, there is nothing we can do to fix that issue.

Well, guess it's time . . . after all these years . . . to rethink my interest in Firefox, eh?
