I like firefox's popup blocker, but since recently it's not been able to handle my bookmarklet that pops up a window. It causes a popup blocked message *as if the popup had come from the site I was visiting* whereas actually it's come from clicking the button in the toolbar.

e.g. I have a bookmarklet that bookmarks the current page with a Nextcloud service. It uses a popup to do this.

Firefox's popup options are (a) allow all popups - no thanks! (b) allow popups for the site I'm visiting - again, not what I want, or (c) allow this specific popup this time.

It would be great if there were options like:

- allow popups taking me to domain/url x (e.g. I trust my nextcloud site) - allow popups clicked from the bookmarks toolbar - allow popups from a particular bookmarklet

Do any work arounds exist? I'm sure this has only recently been a problem as I've always used the popup blocker.

I've discovered a strange effect when I close Firefox. A group of folders are created.

..\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\EmieBrowserModeList ..\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\EmieSiteList ..\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\EmieUserList ..\AppData\Local\MicrosoftEdge\SharedCacheContainers\MicrosoftEdge_EmieSiteList ..\AppData\Local\MicrosoftEdge\SharedCacheContainers\MicrosoftEdge_EmieUserList

I've written a Python script that monitors these locations and automatically deletes them but the problem persists. Also, I've used Chrome and Microsoft Edge to check if they are affected. Neither created any folders. So this is specifically directed at my Firefox Browser.

I had Firefix installed on an external hard drive, which crashed on me. I have installed it on a new hard drive, but it won't let me sync using my existing password without resetting everything, which I'd prefer not to do.

Is there a way to recover/check my password without resetting things? My phone version still works fine, I just can't get into my laptop version.

Release my slave and let it display here This is 10.224.219.149 This is on the Third router in this home. The first is the ISP. The second plugs into the first and hard-wire and wire to the house in power lines and direct Cat6 cable. One cat6 NIC connection: comes to another building and my router where 10.224.219.149 is one of 50 such ports of wireless on my Linksys 1G router in the library/office. The box is in the other room. It wireless to this router and the Custom router chip brings in RF and sorts it to this hard-wire (NIC port) set on this tower. You are blocking an IOT device. I have two laptops and a palm top and 'Fire' also connected when turned on. Can your icebox handshake like you want ? One side only, the firmware in the other does what it can. Changing encryption is possible on one side but not for every IOT device. This is a Brennan B2 music player that I bought from Amazon. So can you. Netframework and the internet product groups are biding an ill game Microsoft started. This is not the Dark Web you are banning. I can't manage hundreds of recordings with a knob and buttons. I need the web access to change sorting and fix items. How can this be resolved ? I need help.

Mandatory to opt out of ETP2.0 to retain logins when deleting history?

After some searching I luckily finally found relevant results here and on other sites regarding the recent issues with getting logged out of sites shortly after ETP 2.0 rolled out, where the main solution to retain logins while still being able to delete history seems to be to go to `about:config` and toggle off the `privacy.purge_trackers.enabled` property (setting it from `true` to `false`).

I wanted to understand more about this. I will periodically delete browser history typically for time ranges of either a couple hours, the whole day, or once in a while everything; the checkboxes I have selected are `Browsing & Download History`, `Form & Search History`, and `Cache`. It seems that clearing history will most likely mean that the ETP 2.0 feature will now think I've not visited certain sites within 45 days and will purge trackers including anything that saved my logins on these sites like Twitter and various Google sites, unless I toggle it off in the config.

But when I toggle off this feature, what exactly do I lose out on with tracking protections? Am I essentially opting out of ETP 2.0 when I toggle off this config property? I would like to be able to retain my logins while still being able to periodically clear history like I've been doing before, and also ideally not be opting out of what might be a lot of tracking protection, if possible. Note that I do for sure use private windows whenever possible but sometimes I need to use normal windows and subsequent history deletions instead.

Hello, I wanted Foxfire because I know I have a hacker who has compromised everything I do on my phone. All of my accounts with Google. Even using my YouTube profile! I think they are using my name and information. I've been texted that I have a lot of traffic thru my email? They are allowing users to go through my information and sharing my contacts. Also they are sharing files. I've tried to stop them but no matter what I do it will be undone. They are using a computer. I don't have a computer. I have a cheap tablet and an LG stylus. Google won't help this person is a developer. If you look at my system logs they have completely changed my system. My event logs look as if they are blooming every move I make . Especially when I start to get close to finding out what's been happening! Please help me . I can not do it on my own. Thank you very much for your time.

Hi,

I have a feature request, but I did not find a place to file it. So if someone can pass this on to the developers I would be grateful.

It is about the password manager now called lockwise. I use a primary password and mine is a strong one and not easy to type. And I have to use it more or less in every session. Firefox supports Fido2 logins. I would be great and very comfortable to use this technolgy for the primary password. So I could use my security key (or a fingerprint reader, facerecognition) instead of my password.

Thanks Markus

I have several (20+) Dell Poweredge 1950 servers running W2K8R2 which all have Dell OpenManage Server Administrator (DOMSA) (version 7.4.0) installed. The security settings in DOMSA have SLL set to 128-bit or higher and use SHA512 which is the highest available. Until Firefox version 82 i would get the error prompt "Errors code MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_SELF_SIGNED_CERT when logging on to DOMSA for the first time, but using the advanced option I could accept and permit this login, after which future logins worked fine.

Since the release of Firefox v.84 I can no longer use this workaround and have had to force these systems back to Firefox v.82 - which is irritating because it doesn't seem possible to prevent Firefox trying to update and offering me an update dialogue every time I open Firefox.

The Dell 1950's cannot run a later version of DOMSA and I am not intending to upgrade to a later server OS version right now - and I don't want to go back to having IEII as my default browser. I do not think Dell have released later certificates or security fixes for DOMSA either. So for the time being, I am locked to the above configuration.

So two questions -

How can I fix later firefox versions (v.84 and later) to allow me access to DOMSA?

If I can't - how do I prevent Firefox v.82 from updating (and from bothering me with update prompts continuously.

I hope someone out there understands the issues here better than I do and has a workable soloution - preferably one which allows me to contiunue with future Firefox upgrades.

Thanks / Adrian
