I have been attempting to link Firefox email to gmail and get the unable to connect password not valid message. I have gone to gmail settingss and checked password and everything is there but when i key in the password when prompted by Firefox, it says not valid. I am sure google hates you guys but this is frustrating. This is my wife's computer and use fire fox with no problems using my gmail link. What am I missing here. I tried to do an update since her mail stopped in August but it keeps asking for that password.

Here is the message I'm getting:

"Sorry. We’ve locked your account.

The confirmation email we sent to [redacted] was returned and we’ve locked your account to protect your Firefox data.

If this is a valid email address, let us know and we can help unlock your account."

I abandon the laptop configured with firefox. I have uninstalled the firefox before letting it go. I now have a new machine, installed firefox on it and I now can see the history under the Firefox Accounts. It's a huge list and I want to import it to new machine.

Is it still possible with firefox features or any add-on ?

I have several different devices that seem to all lose the ability to sync (mostly bookmarks are obvious since those change much more often than anything else I'm syncing). I try manual sync and that occasionally works but at least once a month or so I have to disconnect a device and reconnect it to my FireFox account. Is there a log to review for this sort of thing? Is there a good way to tell which device is failing to sync (i.e. is one failing to upload something or is another one failing to download that info?) Thanks!

I have been a longtime user of Firefox Sync.

I can login to my account. My system 'remembers' my password. All of my email addresses are current, but I do not want to reset my account.

Again, I can login to my account page, but I cannot change my password. When I attempt to, it says that the Current Password is incorrect. I now have a Yubi Key, and want to change my Firefox Account password to the OTP (static) on my key.

So, I logged into my account to send this email. If I click on Log In on my account page, I can. But I cannot change my password.

Can you help?

Usually when I change to a different machine and try setting it up, I end up blocked out of my account with the message I have to insert a code available via email, with 5 minute expiry. This makes a brick wall, as it takes such an email from 15 minutes to an hour to clear through the line here. I'm behind a corporate proxy which also is supervised. Is there any possible way the brick wall can be torn down by simply giving codes via SMS to cellphones, like your bank does, or extending this time to 1/2 hour or so? In this case, I can't get to the EMAIL app on a new machine until I link up the sync so that my various bookmarks are brought over, including the one for the email application. So I don't have my email yet until i get the Firefox sync working, and I can't do that because I can't get emails yet on that machine and 5 minutes is completely impossible anyway.

Estoy intentando migrar/trasladar/importar los marcadores, inicios de sesion de páginas y demas configuraciones de un dispositivo N° 1 (Pc de Escritorio) a otro dispositivo N°2 (Notebook), pero al iniciar sesion me dice que es erronea la contraseña. He verificado visualizando la misma, copiandola al portapapeles y pegandola, y sigue apareciendo el mismo error. Today, 11/14/2021 I logged into my Mozilla Firefox account normally ( it's been a long time since I used SYNC due to HACKERS found out in 2019 + ) - I needed to write down / log all connected services plus devices / IP addresses and decided to add Two-step authentication as recommended for EXTRA security after changing my password.

The moment after I added + activated Two-step authentication via GOOGLE authentication 11/14/2021 5:34 AM -- my account re-synced itself and DELETED my CONNECTED SERVICES LIST:

There should have been / WAS ABOUT 5 DEVICES or more in the past 6 years when I logged in. THEY COMPLETELY VANISHED - they are also under investigation. [I also reported fraud / ID theft to FTC and had to freeze my credit.] One of these connected devices being a laptop / PC named " HEV " [stolen from me and reported to Thurston County Sheriff's office] and another newer one with my initials " pt " - with possible older mobile device most connections from over 2-5 years ago -- with the current computer I am on (that stayed on the list). After that moment - Mozilla Firefox and Google Services gave me errors -- unable to upload images // buffering and page loading (up until estimated 6:20 AM) -- no idea why and there are no service alerts / outages with COMCAST XFINITY my ISP.

The list of devices / logins is EMPTIED -- what else got erased or re-synced? I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE A DELETION!

I have a Windows 10 desktop PC, a Samsung Galaxy Tab A android tablet, and a Samsung Galaxy A10E phone. I am using Firefox 94 on all these devices. I am trying to sync my Firefox bookmark from my PC to my tablet and my phone. I tried to sync last night and left all my devices on all night, and this morning, there were no bookmarks on my tablet or my phone. When I select bookmarks on my tablet or phone, all I am getting is a little black circle which keeps spinning. How do I get my bookmarks from my pc to my tablet and my phone?

I often try out different linux distros and so by proxy log into firefox on new OS's quite often. The problem im having is that after syncing my FF acc onto a new device it syncs my blank homepage as my new homepage for all my devices and removes my shortcuts. I would very much like to have all my shortcuts synced on all my devices and not have to set them up on all my OS's/New FF sessions (especially my main widows machine that doesn't change). Any tips? I would even take having to set up new shortcuts on my new browsers, i just hate losing the shortcuts on my main desktop.

I have the same problem as [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/use.../own404410|@Sky] at "[Addons for Normal and Developer Edition separately]". I would like to present the problem from my side and propose a not difficult but useful solution.


"Synced Addons *and settings* for Normal and Developer Edition separately" is a feature I need and require from Mozilla. I don't want to have developer-only extensions and settings from Developer Edition in the normal browser. I also don't want to create a separate account because I won't be able to view Developer Edition browser content on my phone.

The best would still be share search history and bookmarks with both browsers and the phone.

"Synchronization channel selection function and synchronization content" could be a solution. On a normal browser I create a "normal" synchronization channel and there I choose all the elements to be synchronized. On Developer Edition I create a new "developer" channel and choose sync: history, tabs, bookmarks, addons and settings. Additionally, I choose the existing "normal" channel for synchronization of history and bookmarks. And I sync my phone with the normal channel.

Please consider such a feature in Firefox browsers ;)))

Hello, I'm behind a corporate proxy server and I had no issues with this until a couple of months ago. First I was using FoxyProxy, and one day I realized that Firefox wasn't syncing so I started troubleshooting (Troubleshoot mode) and found out that when a proxy addon (now I moved to SmartProxy and it's the same) is enabled Sync fails. I even tried setting up a new profile with a different, new, Firefox Sync account and the outcome is the same. Anyone else having this trouble? Is this a bug? Should I report it? Anyone wants to help me reproduce it? Thanks in advance!

PS: This happens on my Windows 10 machine too.
