Hi,

I've been trying to enable autoplay on youtube.

I have given youtube permission in every window and setting I can find.

Firefox is STILL blocking autoplay. I've tried to allow autoplay globally and it still blocks it. The only extension I have installed is NoScript, in which nothing on youtube is blocked.

This is also a fresh install of both firefox and OS.

So how can I turn autoplay blocking off?

Hi,

i want to standard uncheck the checkbox "Remember this decision" for pfx certificates. We use several certificates on one specific website and if the user forgets to uncheck, he'll panic because of the missing window that contains the other certificates. The key security.remember_cert_checkbox_default_setting under about:config works,... unfortunately I'd like to rollout the setting for the whole company,..... and the Dword reg key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Mozilla\lockPref\security.remember_cert_checkbox_default_setting" set to "0" seems to have no effect on the setting after reboot...

I appreciate your help.

Installed FF version is 91.3.0esr

Kind regards Tom

I have been a longtime user of Firefox Sync.

I can login to my account. My system 'remembers' my password. All of my email addresses are current, but I do not want to reset my account.

Again, I can login to my account page, but I cannot change my password. When I attempt to, it says that the Current Password is incorrect. I now have a Yubi Key, and want to change my Firefox Account password to the OTP (static) on my key.

So, I logged into my account to send this email. If I click on Log In on my account page, I can. But I cannot change my password.

Can you help?

Please & Thank you, Tony DeNardo

Any chromium-based browser opens links from google search result in a new tab directly, but firefox (and Tor too) opens them with an address as "https://www.google.com/url?sa=..." and further redirects to actual link's address.

Sample: firefox: 1. Search in google: funny cats 2. Click cmd+mouse on result #3 with link "www.funnyawesomecats.com" 3. New tab opens with address like "https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=..." 4. After some delay page redirects to actual link "www.funnyawesomecats.com"

In contrast, any Chromium browser opens links in a new tab directly without intermediate redirection. Also, Firefox open links from a google search directly (i.e. without any issue) only on the current search page, but not on a new tab.

I have four set of Mac computers, all running Firefox. The passwords used to be synced, but not now it seems. Atr least two machines show a problem. The address I try to open, have the excact same username and password on both machines. Still, one machine let me in, the other one not. How can that be? How can I fix the problem quickly? How can I make a trustable sync between all four machines for the future?

Regarding allowed permissions: I have had trouble with some websites that abuse the 5 limit of forwarding before you can temporarily disable more forwarding. In fact they are abusive sites that shout out for being able to permanently disable forwarding. Yet these sites offer information that is hard to find else where. Why on earth isn't it an option for a setting that allows the user to decide how many times a site is allowed to forward to other sites that spam, or even attack users?? I have used Firefox for many years, but I have to say how disappointed I am over this lack of protection options. A PERMISSIVE PROTECTION IS NO PROTECTION AT ALL. Please update Firefox to give users this choice? Presently in spite of my loyalty, and reliance on Mozilla Firefox I am looking for alternatives. So far my search has been fruitless. Please help with this before I find that alternative?

RE: FRAUD - pending investigations - FTC 130602883 , IC3 , Seattle FBI and Olympia Police with ID theft / Fraud alerts RE: PROPERTY THEFT - Thurston County Sheriff's Office Report Number 21-200531

Today, 11/14/2021 I logged into my Mozilla Firefox account normally ( it's been a long time since I used SYNC due to HACKERS found out in 2019 + ) - I needed to write down / log all connected services plus devices / IP addresses and decided to add Two-step authentication as recommended for EXTRA security after changing my password.

The moment after I added + activated Two-step authentication via GOOGLE authentication 11/14/2021 5:34 AM -- my account re-synced itself and DELETED my CONNECTED SERVICES LIST:

There should have been / WAS ABOUT 5 DEVICES or more in the past 6 years when I logged in. THEY COMPLETELY VANISHED - they are also under investigation. [I also reported fraud / ID theft to FTC and had to freeze my credit.] One of these connected devices being a laptop / PC named " HEV " [stolen from me and reported to Thurston County Sheriff's office] and another newer one with my initials " pt " - with possible older mobile device most connections from over 2-5 years ago -- with the current computer I am on (that stayed on the list). After that moment - Mozilla Firefox and Google Services gave me errors -- unable to upload images // buffering and page loading (up until estimated 6:20 AM) -- no idea why and there are no service alerts / outages with COMCAST XFINITY my ISP.

The list of devices / logins is EMPTIED -- what else got erased or re-synced? I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE A DELETION!

Sincerely, Patrick Turner

Sometime back, after an update, Firefox can no longer retain login data saved from one session to the next. I have checked and it seems to persist through the session it was saved in, but is gone the next time I start FF. I am running W10 in 64 bit mode on a HP Laptop (ProBook6455B With a full load of RAM and more SSD and HD storage than I can shake a stick at. I noticed that FF was not filling out login data after an update but I cannot recall from what version to what version. I thought to find out where FF is storing this data, possibly I should say attempting" to store this data, to see if the permissions are set right but I do not know where FF is trying to save this data. If the directory somehow got set to read only then that would explain the problem but I do not know how that could have happened. At any rate this feature of FF is all but crippled and I do not know what to do next. I've been using FF since way back around when it was first released for downloading and would hate to start having to use EDGE or CHROME instead. I hated Internet Explorer, and from what I have seen of the other two I mentioned I will not be a happy camper with either of these. I haven't loaded any extensions, but was thinking about trying the Zoom extension. Any suggestions?
