My home PC is run on Win XP and has a Firefox 3.6 browser along with other browsers. Whenever, an update is automatically downloaded, I get a message that 3.6.x is available but you're not authorised to install. I'm not connected to any network nor have any proxy settings. This happens even when I try to install the download afresh after logging in as administrator. My user rights and other restrictions remain as 'Not Configured'. This does not happens for other installations or browsers.
Please help.

I then deleted download and thought i could revert to current version but now I am unable to connect to the internet at all using mozilla or explorer. When I start up Firefox it is supposed to go to my Yahoo home page, which it appears to do by the URL. However, the page is not my customized page as I am used to seeing. It shows the page as if I was logged off of Yahoo. I try to log in and enter my password into the Yahoo space provided yet when I click Enter I am back to the generic page. It does not work! It worked fine up to an hour or so ago. I then tried Microsoft Internet Explorer and it takes me to my home page as normal as ever. It is therefore not Yahoo at fault here. Firefox has other issues that I have written to you about and you have promptly ignored so I will no longer use Firefox. I never thought I would be saying this but in this case it appears Microsoft has a better product.

I'm using Firefox ver. 3.6.6 In Win7 Ultimate 32 bit or 64 bit With Administrator rights
The folders are correct: C:\Programs is a folder I created to resolve the issues with C:\Program Files.
Any ideas why it might not work?

Recently, my firefox has been displaying all headings in a weird font. Even some news pages! I have tried going into the options in firefox to see if it was a font option that changed, but it appears to be fine. They weren't! There now is no way to restore the url, search and tool bars.

i'm using firefox on fedora 13, and find that there's a down arrow in the bookmark folder. It takes lot of space of my bookmark bar, so i wanna remove it, please help me.

Ok, Im using Firefox 3.6, and for some reason, firefox crashes every time I go to a webpage containing the phrase B i g_B a n g_T h e o r y (spaces in between are so my firefox wont crash...).
I tried searching for the phrase on internet explorer, that crashed too.
I determined that "theory" has nothing to d with the problem, and that the crash only occurs when the words "B i g_B a n g" are on the page (with no spaces or underscores...)
When firefox/IE crashes, its not a traditional crash. there is no error message or javascript popup, the page simply closes out, as if I had pressed alt + f4.
also, the page containing the problem phrase doesnt crash if it is in a background tab.
Any ideas whats wrong?
