Today I'm wearing a very good $$$ Sony/gamers headphones to use because I have poor hearing. WOW...! The error sound went direcctly into my brain's pain center! That dang, ever so annoy ping, chimm or bell sound.

I'm a Chinese user, and all my firefox account in other devices( windows10, IOS) was login in page https://accounts.firefox.com.cn", but using firefox in ubuntu, it was redirect to https://accounts.firefox.com. Even i login with the same e-mail, the data can not be syn, and i have known the reason was there are two different server for Chinese.

But i need a way to syn data in Ubuntu, please tell me how to deal with that. 3Q !

When I access some sites, like wordpress ( as an admin), some icons are shown as hex codes instead of graphic icons - I have enclosed screenshots

I have tried to reset the fonts to firefox standard ( I had some other before) - it did not help

I have also tried to check the "allow pages to choose their own fonts - did not help I have also tried to UNcheck the "allow pages to choose their own fonts - did not help

I do NOT have the problem on Brave or Chromium

I wasn't able to find any RSS feeds to subscribe to in the known vulnerabilities sections, nor in the Mozilla Foundation security advisories pages. I'd like to subscribe in Thunderbird, if possible to them.

Is there a newsletter or other way to keep up-to-date with these advisories?

I frequently watch news videos. When the connection is slow, at least one CPU core to 100%. I am extremely confused why. Causing a core to go to 100% isn't going to speed up the download. That's a network issue.

I created a loading progress bar for Firefox which uses JavaScript to show how much of the current page is loaded at the bottom of the address bar.

Is there any way I can automate running JavaScript at the opening of a window? Like how we can change the appearance in userChrome.css?

Currently I'm copy pasting the script to console at the start of every window.

I get message when trying to connect to the WEB via Firefox. "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To use Firefox, you must first close the existing Firefox process, restart your device, or use a different profile".

How to close the running but not responding Firefox process ? To be able to connect to the web

I have a lot a devices. I would like the majority of settings/etc to be synced with my account but I would also like to be able to have some add-ons excluded. For example I use Persepolis download manager for the devices that support it but not all my devices support it. Result is I have to toggle active addon every time I switch devices as it syncs.

Hello, on one of my computers I have my new tab set to have 10 rows of pinned links. I went to `about:config` and copied the `browser.newtabpage.pinned` string. I then pasted it into the string on a new device I'm setting up, but it doesn't do anything.

Is there any way to get this working? My new tab on the device I'm setting up has none of the pinned links, just sites I commonly visit

Frustrating experience trying to use Twilio Authy. Whenever I first installed it on my iPhone I was using Password1 and that is the only record it shows, with no obvious way to delete that entry now that I have dumped Password1 in favor of Bitwarden. Plus when trying to install on Linux Mint desktop it first wanted me to use Snap package but Mint uses Flatpak. Got it installed using default software manager in Mint, then when I wanted to authenticate it sent code to phone, but phone said already registered so no way to authenticate desktop version. Forget it ... I use my Yubikey for all my other 2FA and it works slicker-n-snot this Twilio thing is too much hassle comparatively. When Mozilla adds some other 2FA choices THEN I can use 2FA with FF, not this app. Ugh.

Before the latest update, I was able to open links (eg zoommtg:) but that quit working. I originally thought it was a problem with Ubuntu, but I tried in Chromium and it seemed to work fine. In addition to not being able to open links, I can't click on the "Show Folder" in the downloads dialog. This leads me to believe Firefox is having trouble communicating with the desktop.

Ideally, I'd like to find a log or some indicator as to why this is happening. It's quite annoying because I find myself doing a lot of copying and pasting of links and what not. Any help would be appreciated.

For Securing my Apache server i have created a CA and from that CA i have created a self-signed certificate. When i add the certificate to the certificate manager and try to access my domain with https i am getting this warning 'Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead'. My certificate has enough validation. How can i get rid of this warning.

I am looking for a way to prevent disabling an addon.

The addon is secondary, but for the sake of completeness: it's about the web blocker LeechBlock.

It was intended as an alternative to the web blocker ColdTurkey, but unlike ColdTurkey, which does not work for Linux systems, there is no password protection to prevent disabling and/or uninstalling the addon. Thus, it is quite easy to get distracted even though you don't really want to.

does anyone know a solution?

Hello, I tried following methods online to disable private browsing however they don't seem to work (possibly due to being outdated?) and I was wondering if there is a way of disable private browsing in Ubuntu 22.04? I have added pictures to show what I implemented and it still allows private browsing.
