Why is Firefox crashing so often? What changed? Is there something I need to do to prevent his? Once or twice a week or sometimes a day, but It seems to crash when I am just in my Gmail, sometimes 4 or 5 times an hour. Is Chrome a better option?

As the title states, every time I try to zoom into a page using pinch and zoom with my touch-pad, firefox nightly crashes. However, if I try to zoom in using CTRL+ and CTRL-, it works just fine.

I have tried to disable hardware acceleration but it didnt help.

I wasn't sure what to select for the type of question so you can move it if you think another type would be better. I would have selected crashes but that isn't an option.

It happened again a few minutes ago while watching Star Trek First Contact. The Phoenix was about to go to warp and Firefox CTD with no crash reporter and when I looked in about:crashes there was no crash report. This exact situation happened twice while watching the movie Signal unknown or whatever the title is.

Firefox keeps crashing my computer while playing graphics-intensive games, yet with Firefox off they function perfectly. This seems to be still an issue since 2015. It'll be a shame to switch browsers since i been using this since it was called Netscape 2

I believe this problem is caused by a false crash recovery loop, every time I open firefox it'll close again and then give me an annoying red striped address bar. I'm sure its not my extensions because I only have Ublock Origin installed.

It appears that I have a zombie Firefox browser running because when I close the browser using the top right 'X' button, the Firefox processes are still running when I check Task Manager.

If I end the Firefox task and reopen Firefox the first attempt seems to be stuck crashing because there's no crash log, but I can see in the task manager there's a crashhelper. A second attempt opens just fine, but the issue with that is my previously opened browsers are gone even with the setting to reopen them is enabled.

I've tried reinstalling, disabling my extensions, and updating Java, but none of these resolve the issue.

Every time I make Firefox full-screen, it immediately crashes and shuts down. I have restarted the computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, but it still doesn't work.

I have been getting this error for about a week - absolutelyu no changes have been made to my usual use of the PC and browser. There may have been Firefox/Windows updates installed. I'm not doing anything different to the usual work I do.

I have tried using a new Firefox profile with no cached info carried over, this doesn't solve the problem. I have no extensions or add ons. I do run Avast, but haven't had this problem before.

Firefox has been my browser of choice for over 15 years. Recently, it has crashed on me, causing me to lose any work I was doing. At any time, I receive a notice at the top of the page stating that I'm not connected to the internet, accompanied by the Firefox Symbol. I have to restart, and then it holds for a bit before crashing again.

is anyone else having issues with this POS browser shutting down unexpectedly FREQUENTLY for NO reason. I thought the first dozen or so times it was updates, but only once or twice there was mention of new feature. I am SO over it and think Chrome with it's risks IS the smarter move

I had firefox for 5 years it worked great then I upgraded one day about a month ago and NOW I have had to Force Quit firefox 20 out of the last 30 days. engineers ??????????????????

Why does firefox crash all the time. I can't even get on espn or msn.com. I used to be one of the biggest supporters of firefox Not anymore, it is a horrible useless browser now.
