I need to restore my profile on this computer. my other one failed...I need my bookmarks and passwords to websites restored. I have a account recovery key. I can try to log in, but I dont know if I have my password correct

I shutdown my laptop. When it came back up, my fire fox pages were gone. I have the sync option on so I don't know why I lost all of my stuff, files, and documents.

Let’s say I have 20 tabs open, which I don’t quite remember anymore but occasionally return to. Naturally, I have the browser set to restore all tabs on startup. At some point, for one reason or another, a second browser window opens in the background. I close my main browser window, and I’m left with just this second window. When I close that one too and then reopen the browser, I no longer see my 20 tabs — I only see that second window with a single tab. In the Firefox View menu, I don’t see my 20 tabs in the list of recently closed tabs or in the list of open tabs. Is this expected behavior? Are there any plans to fix this?

I am writing to report an issue I’ve been experiencing with your browser. Despite setting the startup option to “Continue where you left off,” my open tabs are not being restored when I reopen the browser.

I have already taken the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

   Confirmed that “Continue where you left off” is enabled in the settings

   Ensured I am not using incognito/private mode

   Disabled all extensions to rule out conflicts

   Verified that the browser is up to date

   Checked for tab recovery options in history

Even after trying all these measures, the problem persists. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue.

Probably not the right topic as you don't offer many. But for the SECOND time now, when I boot up computer my bookmarks are gone. I finally retrieved them the first time, it took a LONG time to find what would help doing it. Now I have to do it again.

The question is, WHY IS THIS SUDDENLY HAPPENING? WHAT is causing it? How can it be stopped?

For the second time, FF opened w/o restoring the previous session's tabs. The first time I was able to restore the tabs. This time I can't. And can't figure out how to fix it or why this is happening since I have the restore previous session box checked.

I have a new PC and using the same account in both old and new (jrallen@umn.edu). The sync mechanisms are on, but the new machine seems to have only a few of the bookmarks from the old machine. It seems like they are missing or invisible. I only have "Other Bookmarks" available.

so, update to 138.0.4 (64-bit) resulted in deletion of both my bookmark library AND all the backups? fantastic. over a decade of important bookmarks - gone. thanks guys, you're awesome.

Lost all my settings passwords and the rest because I updated to the new version. How do I get my screen back to my decade comfort? No passwords, no history, no tabs & bookmarks. It's all gone! Please help. Thank you in advance. Apee
