Hello!

I would like to know which about:config preferences I have to modify to increase the speed of loading pages in Firefox?

I know that when I disable telemetry data, Firefox is saving a lot of time sending this telemetry data, which increases the speed.

In addition, I know that the loading speed will be increased when I modify some HTTP preferences, but which one.

Please give me a full list about all I can modify to increase the speed.

checking box within a Tab on yahoo mail will immediately open that entry and then freeze further operation until the screen is shut down. This happens on my wife's HP lap top i5 Pavilion 4.00 ram. ie: inbox tab will show a number of email - a dozen or so - followed by grey empty areas. The tab indicates 100+ total in inbox. Selecting one box opens the email but locks up any activity on that email & must be shut down to exit. The identical situation happens when I access my email on her machine. She is using Firefox 105.0.1 HOWEVER, on my machine, HP desktop AMD A8 8.00 Ram, both email addresses do not lock up, multiple boxes can be checked and work as expected. My desk top uses Firefox 104.4 This began happening within the past couple of weeks and I can not debug the situation. Any pointers ??

Same as this problem: [hidden]

My taskbar is set to auto hide and I want to keep it that way. Other chromium based browsers does not have this problem. When I hover my mouse to the bottom of the screen, the Windows 10 Taskbar won't appear. Only when I press the windows key, then it appears. This has been happening on both of my computer for a long time now and it's very frustrating. I am sure I am not in full screen mode. Restarting the browser, or windows explorer or the PC doesn't work. Reinstalling FF also does not work. Finally trying to switch completely to FF but this is keeping me from doing it. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using an online inventory system and regularly need to print barcode labels. This was all working fine until I updated to 102.3.0esr. Now, the data shrinks to a tiny part of the page when I go to print it. (See screenshots of what it looks like prior to going to the print dialogue and then when I actually go to print it). I've checked various settings suggested on previous posts that sound like the same problem but none of these work (Scaling, shrink, printer margins, clearing the cache etc.). If I choose a different printer and select A4 paper, the data looks to be the correct size (i.e. set for a 2x1 label), albeit on a much larger page.

I downloaded Chrome and I can get it to display and print ok from there. I just don't know what's happened in Firefox. Also, it's not just my system - one of my colleagues had a problem with a standard release. We changed him to the esr version (prior to the 102.3.0 update) and it worked ok then. Obviously something has happened in this update. Any help would be appreciated.

A few weeks ago I refreshed Firefox because I was having issues with a game I play that uses WebGL and that fixed THAT issue. I had tried everything before I did that, but nothing worked.

Every other website I go to works great for me - loads fast, etc., but when I do a google search, I often have to fresh the page several times. I don't understand why it is that just ONE site is slow. I end up opening Chrome when I want to do a search which is kind of a pain.

Is there anyone else with this issue? What can I do?? I hate the thought of switching search engines.

Thanks for any help.

I now have Firefox 105.0.1, but since the update many web pages won't open, I just get the spinning circle. If I switch Firefox off and on again that fixes the problem for that site, but not for any others I subsequently try to open. I'm spending my whole day switching Firefox off and on again.

I'd appreciate some help with stopping firefox from wanting to update each time I open it. I've seen a couple fixes from googling. Uninstall and re download, tried that. I saw to check if it's got the run as administrator checking in properties. It does not. Also when I click on the update in the firefox menu it just takes me to the download firefox page...which is ironic.

No idea what else to do. Help would be great.

I use Outlook Web Access to view my emails for work. When I click on an email to read, it doesn't fill up the pane that opens, and it's about 1/3 of the pane. It must be a Firefox issue, as I don't have this same problem when I open up an email using Google Chrome. How do I get my email to fill the entire pane and not be shrunk to 1/3 of the reading pane when I open the email?

Been using Firefox for some years with no probs, and I view YouTube videos constantly. But recently been getting a left to right twitch on the YouTube screen, and it seem after I've viewed a video --- very weird! Don't get the same problem with Chrome, but I'd rather continue using Firefox. Can I fix this?

I noticed on your introduction to this screen you state:- "Be descriptive. Saying “playing video on YouTube is always choppy” will help us understand the issue..." Do I have the same problem?

Thanks

For two days now, firefox has not loaded any websites on my device. There is no loading process, I have no way to refresh, undo or restore the page, absolutely no page wants to load (not even firefox.support).

I tried every possible advice I found on your website. I cleared the cookie data, the website data, found the profile folder and deleted the parent.lock file, I checked the update, I updated the software on my computer. I checked in the task manager if any firefox does not work in the background after closing, closed the processes in the background, then restarted the computer and still nothing changed.

I found the firefox folder and made sure that it is in the properties as a "read-only" file and just to be sure I checked the correctness of the date, time and time zone configuration in the operating system to check if the browser has any problems with verification.

None of the above actions brought the slightest effect. I attach a screen showing the only thing that the browser displays

hi, back a month later after posting this ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1387447 )

i didn't get a chance to implement the solution because by the time i had received it, i had already opened everything back up manually, and closed out firefox multiple times (when i first started up and noticed missing tabs), which i presume created a new session. i can soundly say its happened and i think i've pinned down the issue. it seems that when i update firefox, it restarts tabs from around the time of the previous update. is there something that could be causing this? i've scrounged my session back up data, and none of them contain my previous tabs, and my alternate session doesn't either. my actual previous tabs are shown in my recent history, so there should be no reason it opens tabs from august right? this time after the update firefox disabled all of my add-ons and my theme, which it has never done to me before.

(i also noticed two login.json from may and june respectively that have been labelled corrupt. could that be an issue? my latest one however, seems uncorrupted, from the day of and day before posting this reply.)

if you could kindly help me, please do. thank you in advance.
