Using “Manage Bookmarks”: In each of my folders I sorted the bookmarks alphabetically. When I return to that folder, the bookmarks are once again unsorted. How do I make them remain sorted?

I have been getting the following message several times: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window. Close Firefox" I check my programs and I am only running the current version on Windows 10 Pro. Why do I get this message?

Once upon a time, I had a home and multiple computers.

I used Firefox and everything was synced between computers - initially, through that separate program they used to use (I can't remember the name), but then it changed to some in-house Mozilla thing.

I lost my home last summer (due to a local bureaucratic issue that became a nightmare for several years - I was disabled and unemployed, but still had money to pay my bills) and was homeless for 5 months.

My desktop was stored, and my laptop thrown out (because it had some dead keys, and the screen was pretty shitty).

Several months ago, a friend gave me his old laptop. I downloaded Firefox and logged into my old profile. I think I was able to access my old bookmarks and passwords at that time.

Eventually, I found a new place to live. I still haven't set up my old desktop. I've been using my phone for essentials. Using my new used laptop recently, I find that, even though I'm logged into my Firefox profile, there are no bookmarks. Going into "sync", I see that "bookmarks" is *unchecked* - a change I never made.

Anyway - how do I find my bookmarks? Are they gone forever? If I get my desktop computer up and running, will they still be on that incarnation of Firefox, or are they now gone forever?

I closed down my computer last night and after restart again, the Firefox page with shortcuts are gone. I've looked for information on this but there's no link to shortcuts that I can find to help restore these sites. Never had this happen before and it's been years. Thoughts on where/what to do to restore?? Thanks. N Weaver

I run Linux Debian 12 (bookworm), and there seems to be no way to disable Firefox from automatically starting up after system boot. I've searched through settings, read countless articles on the internet, looked at system auto-startup applications, but wasn't able to find anything that worked. I even looked in about:config, but couldn't find anything. Firefox isn't automatically started by my system and there is no parameter that disables it. I also didn't click through any choices about autostart when I first opened Firefox.

having trouble getting into url from Fox News. after entering my email to receive a link to sign into the page I want, the little circle just turns and does not move to the website I asked for. It was working and now it doesn't. Jim

I am using a mac 2018 Intel. When I upgraded from Sequoia 15.3 to 15.4 Firefox quit working. I turned the firewall off and it worked for awhile. But has not continued.

Anything new on this issue. I have been a Firefox user for multiple years. It is my primary browser.

Please help me restore bookmarks. As stated, the support suggestions do not work because "manage bookmarks" link does not work and Library does not show at all -- not even a blank page.

Firefox was working normal, but the next day the program stopped working. Only changes was a security update from Microsoft Security.

If I click the Firefox icon, nothing happens, If i click to open Firefox as an admin, I get an nearly empty window for Firefox (Image added).

I have totally uninstalled Firefox (with the folder "Old Firefox Data"), and reinstalled Firefox, but to no avail !!!

Any solutions ???

I’m using Zen Version 1.11.2b (64-bit), and I’ve noticed a weird issue when using Gmail. When I try to start a new chat, the chat list doesn’t show up — it just kind of bugs out. I can only talk to people in chats that are already open.

What is going on with firefox, are is it being even more dminished now by microsoft and google? since some update, i cant watch even a youtube video due to the length of time it takes with buffering and loading , and my university LMS pages arent loading and trying to download a pdf from researchgate not even working.

embedded apps like padlet dont seem to be working either

I have flushed out cookies and caches and restarted many times - still the same issues, I went in to troubleshoot mode and still the same issues.

If i try Microsoft Edge it seems things are working fine, and if i access firefox using a VPN (i am in australa, but i set it to a country in europe) then firefox works fine -- what is going on?

I know nothing about computers, I am 80 years old. I have been trying to get authenticator for weeks. i DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET IT !!! CAN YOU SHOW ME ? I am deaf and have no phone. I only use facebook, messenger and yahoo e-mail, plus play pch games. Thanks for any help

Hi there, I am trying to go to a site that I go often, but getting this message back - "502 Bad Gateway openresty". That happens once in a while, I can generally access the site without problems,. What should I do? thanks
