So, i'm trying to use VsCode and firefox in conjunction to file away some info, but for some reason, the ability to split the screen easily is gone. It is still there on my laptop with firefox, so i'm not sure why it is missing on my pc, especially since the pc is the newer version of firefox. See attached image for what i mean by easily split my screen.

Hiii, I am using Floorp 12.16.3@153.0 on Debian 13 with KDE Plasma. Since the latest update, navigation from Floorp’s Private Container no longer stays inside the container.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open a new tab in Floorp’s Private Container. 2. Type either a URL or a search query in the address bar. 3. Press Enter or click the arrow button. 4. Instead of loading the address in the current container tab, the browser creates a new regular tab outside the container.

The new tab does not show the container indicator and uses my normal browsing cookies. However, clicking one of the shortcuts displayed on the new-tab page correctly loads the website inside the Private Container.

I have already tried the following:

• Confirmed that `browser.urlbar.openintab` is set to `false`.
• Confirmed that `browser.search.openintab` is set to `false`.
• Restarted the browser.
• Disabled Floorp Start.
• Opened `https://example.com` inside the Private Container and then entered another URL or search query in the address bar. It still opened a new regular tab.
• Tested by pressing only Enter, without Alt or any other modifier key.

Expected behavior: entering a URL or search query should navigate within the current Private Container tab.

Actual behavior: a new regular, non-container tab is created.

This previously worked correctly and appears to have started after updating to Floorp 12.16.3, based on Firefox 153. Is this related to a change in Firefox 153’s container behavior, or is it likely to be a Floorp-specific bug? Please help, I'm a huge floorp fan :(

Repeatedly asking you: how to get rid of Bing. Don't know how this became my default search engine. "manage search engines" does not even provide a toggle to add Firefox/Mozilla. Pressing on Bing toggle does not remove Bing.

A "Cloud' swept over my computer and erased all of my data and fire-fox operating system and and operating system. I think all of data is still in my computer but, I can not retrieve it. My banking information was left intacked but all of the accounts were erased.

Firefox recently seems to be crashing randomly when I disconnect from VPN. At least I think it's crashing. This has maybe started a few weeks ago?

What happens is that when I disconnect from my VPN (ProtonVPN), I will randomly not be able to load any pages. If I go to any website, it will just get stuck loading forever. No timeout. I'm able to visit the browsers own pages like settings, some about: pages like about:performance, about:memory, etc.

Why I'm not sure if it's crashing is because the browser itself is not closing, I have to manually close the browser window. Once I close the window manually and wait a while, the crash reporter pops up. If I close the window manually then re-open it, theres a text prompt that shows up telling me Firefox is still open and if I want to close it to re-open Firefox.

I don't think it's the VPN's issue as when I disconnect from my VPN, applications other than Firefox work and have internet connectivity (a separate browser like Chrome, or discord, etc)

What I have tried:

• new Firefox profile
• Using Firefox Nightly
• Various ProtonVPN settings (but I don't think its related to ProtonVPN)
• Various Firefox network settings
• Both Firefox and Firefox Nightly Open, when disconnecting VPN one would stop letting me reach sites but other wouldn't

I have the crash report details (from Firefox and Firefox Nightly) but unsure where best to upload or if it contains any sensitive data.

And I also see this for maybe why the browser itself doesn't "crash" MozCrashReason: Shutdown hanging at step AppShutdownNetTeardown. Something is blocking the main-thread.

If it's okay to share the crash reports then I can add them.

recently i've created a html backup file in zen browser. and when i choose it in the settings menu on another device it says "This file isn’t working. Try picking a different file."

I get pages on my cell phone which also uses Firefox and saying my phone has been hacked and has "Google Security" on top. this is just one example. I am trying to see if Firefox has a screen for this.

I cannot get into my Paypal account because Mozilla Firefox is asking me to set up a passkey. I press Continue and it tells me to enter a PIN. I don't have a PIN set up that I know of. If I try one, it is wrong and says I have tried too many times. When I go to the Settings where I should set something up with Window Hello, it says it is not available. I just want to log into my Paypal account like I used to. How can I bypass all this stuff?
