Today I installed the latest version of Firefox(7.0.1). After I installed it, I had to restart my Firefox. I clicked the 'restart now' button and it closed my browser. However, it did not restart my browser. In fact, it didn't do anything. If I click on the firefox button now it doesn't do anything.

Any help is appreciated.

Hope this made sense. (English is not my native language)

This problem began when I updated AVG to the 2012 trial version. I thenchanged over to the 2012 free edition, but the problem persists, so I think it has something to do with AVG. A scan revealed two trogan infections on the system, which Super Anti Spyware removed sucessfully. I have had this problem for about three days. In safe mode Firefox logs ontpo Gmail sucseefully.

Old machine (desktop) runs Win2K and FF 3.6. New machine (laptop) runs Win7 but has no browser (except IE). Want to put current FF (10?) on laptop and transfer profile from desktop. Can't put current FF on desktop because current Flash won't run on Win2K. Profile, I presume, includes bookmarks, passwords, form help (auto-completion of (e.g.) email add.) and all add-ons. I can find (thanks to article here) the profiles on both machines. Can I just copy and overwrite the presumably blank one created when I install current FF on the laptop? If not how do I do it?

I installed Firefox ver. 4.0.1 but everything looks the same as before the install. The only noticeable difference is that the Home Button did move from the middle to the right side. When I check About Firefox, it does list the version as 4.0.1. When I click on Check for Updates, it says, “Firefox is up to date” When I click on Download Firefox, it says I am already running 4.0.1

According to the TAKE THE TOUR site, the most obvious missing features are: 1) Firefox Button which should be in the upper left-hand corner 2) Bookmark Button which should be to the right, next to the Home Button.

Also, there is no “one click” button for Private Browsing, the Awesome Bar does not seem to have the extra features as described, and new sites do NOT open as Tabs,

According to Firefox 4.0.1 is compatible with Windows 2000 so it should not be a problem with the operating system. One other tip, I did try to upgrade one of the Add-ons (AniWeather) which has been updated to be more compatible with 4.0.1. It would not install because of missing dll’s. This seems to be one more clue that 4.0.1 did not fully install.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm new to JavaScript and even to website coding. I'm trying to populate a form dynamically and am having trouble with FF7.

To start I couldn't even pass the name of the form as an argument with FF7. After simplifying the code to see what's basically wrong I have come to something funny.

In the code below at least the input element gets initiated, but if I just declare a variable then it doesn't!

With IE8 and even IE6 all my original code worked perfect. I could populate the whole form and then change it dynamically.

What am I doing that FF doesn't get?

Thank you.
