hello and good day to whom ever this massage gets to.

I just updated my windows at my work pc and all my programs were deleted and so I got signed out of all my accounts. I reinstalled firefox and tried to sign in but because its been a while I couldn't remember my password and had to reset it. but after all this and when I finally got into my account (with the same email address I was using until now) no matter how many times I click sync, nothing gets added to my bookmarks, history, passwords, etc.

then I checked with one on my phone to see whether that was working or not, and that was signed out as well and asks me to sign in again. I've been using this browser for years now and have many save information on this account I CAN'T LOSE ALL THAT. the primary account was on my laptop which is at home and currently I am terrified of turning that on and finding everything's gone again. please help me get my info back. I can't remember years of saved bookmarks and passwords.

Firefox view is a new feature that looks awesome and I'd love to try it out to sync stuff between devices. There's just one problem:

1. Firefox view works on my laptop and seems to work on my phone, but does not work on my desktop.

For reference:

• Desktop (doesn't have view tab) is Mac Mini 2020 (M1) on Mac OS Ventura 13.0 (22A380)
• Laptop (has view tab) is Mac Mini 2020 (M1) on Mac OS Ventura 13.0 (22A380)
• Both devices are running Firefox 106.0.2 (64-bit)

I have already:

• Made sure "Open Tabs" is enabled for sync on all devices
• Looked for the firefox view in the "Customize Toolbar" menu
• Disabled / Re-enabled Firefox-View in about:config

So I downloaded Firefox and logged in expecting my bookmarks to carry over after I "sync'd" it, however the did not. So I went to my old pc and did the export bookmarks thing and imported it to the new pc.

Now.. I have all my bookmarks and everything appears great. Except whenever I open a link from say my work it opens a Mozilla window that doesn't have my bookmarks. When I try to combine the windows It doesn't let me. I am also scared of losing access to the Mozilla with my bookmarks as I work from home using those. (the desktop shortcut to Mozilla opens the one without all my work)

In the attached screenshot things to note, the bookmark bar available on left isn't there on the right. Additionally in the taskbar (bottom) it shows Mozilla in two distinctly separate icons. When two Mozilla windows are open, they share the same icon on the taskbar, these do not, which leads me to believe I have two incompatible versions existing next to each other.

I've gone down a rabbit hole of authentication in regards to Sync with Firefox. I'm wondering if I can regenerate a recovery key by removing the recovery key from my account and then choosing to re-enable a recovery key on my account? I do have the password for my primary email on my account, but I can't find the recovery key value for it.

I also have a secondary email on my account that I don't have a password for, and need to reset a password for it, but one problem at a time...

I synced my firefox with my laptop before I wiped the drive and reloaded windows 10. I have reloaded firefox and signed it but it doesn't bring any of my bookmarks back in. Any suggestions how to restore?

Hi, I used to use Firefox on my Lenovo laptop, but now using an iPad instead. Although I cam login, it appears that all synced accounts and passwords are gone. Please advise how I may retrieve my password that I have saved.

Hi, I posted a question about my browser history being deleted recently, but I also remembered that had Firefox Sync on. I was wondering if there was some way to use Firefox Sync to grab my old browser history before it was corrupted? Thanks!

I have activated Firefox Sync and "delete cookies on close" and I have noticed that the URLs I have set up exceptions for do not sync across my devices, thus having to re-enter them on every device.

Is this by design or can I do something about it?

Hi. I bought new pc, and i'm trying to set up mozilla with all my passwords and bookmarks, from old pc. But after i logged in, bookmarks and passwords dont appear in a browser. I had so much important stuff there that im now kinda scared. Thanks for any help in advance

I wanted to use sync to transfer my tabs from my previous MacBook to my new MacBook. I reset the previous MacBook and now when I login to the new one, sync does not show any of my previous tabs.

I recently had to factory reset my computer and had to download and sync my firefox account all over again. It's been a week and firefox is still syncing, none of my bookmarks, add-ons, history or top sites on the new tab are showing up. Thankfully, it appears that most of my passwords have been synced.

I've read some other threads for tips and can confirm that I don't have this account logged in to other devices and I don't have a vpn or proxy running. I am able to obtain the sync logs but I have no idea how to read it.

How can I make the bookmarks, add-ons, history and top sites sync faster?

I am a game developer. I work about 12 hours a day, in Chrome. It is my main browser. When I installed firefox, I was asked to "import" cookies and such. I did. Which has been a terrible headache. All of the bookmarks and everything from Chrome came with it, which I already had in firefox, since I've had it for years. But, I thought since this is a brand new computer that I needed to do that. Fast-forward a couple of weeks and now EVERY time I open up firefox, all 10 million history links are in history.

I use firefox to unwind and watch movies. I don't want 10 million links to work in front of where I left off in binge watching Seinfeld.

I've tried everything and followed instructions and STILL, all history from Chrome shows up in firefox. It is infuriating. AND uninstalling and reinstalling did nothing. The setting is already in the account to import from Chrome to firefox. I've removed addons and extensions as well. Nothing has worked.

'I Save HTML documents containing Bulleted items (lists) from Firefox. When the saved documents are opened with Firefox, the bulletsb are missing, but when opened with MsEdge they are there. Clearly the Saved File has the Bullet markers embedded (even if not identical to the original), so why can't Firefox show them? The particular files that I Save locally are "LibreOffice Release Notes" '

I don't know why but sync button is not appearing in my Firefox settings (image attached). I guess it's because something I've done in settings that has cause this to disappear. Can you help me? Thanks!!

Hi, I create an account to sync Bookmarks, Passwords, Add-ons, History etc from one computer to an other. I successfully created the account, verify mails, checkbox all features to sync in settings, and click on "sync' multiple times. But nothing is synced on my new computer. When using "send tab to device", the submenu previously showed all synced devices, in my case, more than 10 devices. Recently it only shows 4 devices and there is no way to access the other ones. Is this broken or is it a recent change? If so, can I revert the behavior with a preference?

Under "manage devices", I still see all of my synced devices, they just don't show up in the "send to device" submenu.

I am struggling to understand what the problem is, I have a form that has a few drop-down lists and textboxes, but each time I select an option in the drop down list the page refreshes and the textboxes I filled in during the loading disappears, and it only happens in Firefox.
