Hi there,

Firefox is my default browser but increasingly (once a week I guess) I have to use chrome to access some sites. This happens with firefox only, (not other browsers) on some sites. The latest site is https://www.skyscanner.ie/. (see screenshot below).

Any ideas?

My environment is windows 11 on a lenovo yoga slim7X using the ARM64 chipset

I met the same issue with https://stackoverflow.com/questions/27514404/web-worker-blocked-by-main-thread-in-chrome . It was asked 10 years ago and I learnt that it was fixed in chrome via https://issues.chromium.org/issues/40398809 . Is it a bug for firefox? Is there any way to work around? Thanks.

When visiting a site with a Input=Number field and clicking on it and scrolling nothing happens when it should change the value as if i had pressed up or down arrow.

At some point Firefox stopped allowing me to drag tabs or bookmarks around. This includes moving tabs around in their order, dragging a tab into a new window, dragging tabs into bookmarks, moving bookmarks around in the browser. I can't drag them around in 'manage bookmarks' either. I can still open and create bookmarks; they are simply much more difficult to place where I want them.

I believe this happened with the last update but it's not a feature I use all that often so it could be older.

I have opened Firefox in safe mode and had the same issue. I have turned off the computer several times since this began.

Any help would be appreciated.

Whenever I hover on a tab, a small pop-up immediately appears with the name of the tab and its website address. Sometimes this box is above the tab (and extending above the top edge of the window) and sometimes below it. This behavior started recently with no action on my part. How can I stop this annoyance?

In another thread, someone mentioned there is a new option for the sidebar to "collapse" which I guess means to close itself, but that isn't happening on mine yet. Perhaps it is an experimental option that is currently in testing. CLARIFICATION OF MY QUESTION: I checked the way you said and the sidebar.revamp already says false. What I am talking about is as follows: In the windows 10 we had, and using Firefox, there was the complete My Bookmaks list on the left side, from top to bottom. Those not showing I could scroll down through them. It also had a search bar where I could search for a sepcific bookmark. (I have had 2 strokes and I cannot remember things if I can't see it as I do it.) NOW, however, with Windows 11, there is a "tab" I guess you call it on the left end of the ribbon. If I click on that, the My Bookmarks expands down (like it did look before) and I can scroll down if the one I am looking for is below the shown part of the list. HOWever, if I go to type anything outside of that list, it collapses back to the tab. It also does NOT have the search bar for the bookmarks at all. So if I cannot remember where the bookmark is located (I have 95 bookmarks) I have to scroll down through most of them to find it. What I want is for the entire bookmark list to REMAIN visible or on top when I am doing other things. Ialso would like to be able to search for a specific bookmark which would bring it right up.

When visiting Springer's websites (and others), I cannot select any text using Firefox (but I can with Chrome). I cannot find the setting to modify to enable this ability (text selection).

I took a look today and I had 237 MB in cookies! This was after clearing the cache of all files. I've only had this (new) machine a couple months.

Short version: Sites have "cookies" from 200kb to as much as 34MB! For many of the sites over 3MB I have no account and have visited them only briefly.

To be clear, I don't care about the space being used. It's trivial. But what the heck is FFox storing and calling it "cookies"? Last I checked, a site was still limited to 4K size cookies and perhaps 50 per domain. So how are we getting to MB+ sized "cookies" per site? Again, the cache was cleared, so what's left aside from trivial cookie files of <4KB?

Is it possible to view the contents of two tabs simultaneously? I have been in many situations where it would be very helpful to view two different web pages side-by-side to more easily make comparisons. Opening a new window and viewing them side-by-side is similar but being able to pick two tabs to view in one browser would be a lot faster and easier to control.

helo, my text cursor position always at behind of text make it hard to locate. e.g. when i click on "find in settings" box, the cursor locate at behind the "find in settings" words not at the front.

When I click Ctrl and the minus/hyphen key, the size of the TEXT on the webpage is reduced but not the size of the PICTURES.

How can I reduce the size of both the TEXT and the PICTURES?

I have a suggestion, could Alt + left/right arrow switch between tabs that are next to each other? This shortcut is e.g. in PyCharm and I think it would significantly improve my browsing experience. It seems to be currently unassigned.

I had a dedicated Firefox webpage popup yesterday that listed all my open tabs, tab history. I closed it before I noted the address and how I got there. I searched through my browsing history and I don't see it. I have never been able to access that page before. How do I bring it up again?

Hi, I've started my laptop after 3 days, opened Firefox web browser and all my tabs are closed / lost. If I try History -> "Recently closed tabs or windows" is greyed out. How can I recover all my tabs from this computer?

I was wandering if Firefox Desktop will support Web Share API. You can see it's supported from all major browsers and on Firefox Mobile too

Do you plan to include the support in the near or far future?

I just noticed that when I start writing in the Firefox URL bar there is a blinking straight bar that remains at the start. And if I click of somewhere else and then start writing again, the bar remains blinking at the start of the new text. I also don't have the straight line you get when moving left or right in the text using the arrow keys.

I couldn't capture the bar with a screen shot so I have edited the images to where the bar is when beginning typing, and then after I have clicked of the text bar and then entered it again and typed some more.

The list of previously visited sites in firefox windows seems to have shrunk in some recent update of firefox. Now, when I click the address bar I only get 5 options, the first being search with google and the remaining 4 being previously visited sites. Used to be that list was much longer. Is there a way to customize this, or revert it back to where it contains 10+ items?
