hi, I have a bit of an issue, which I'll try to explain my situation first. Thing is, I mainly use ethernet (because I need to), but a tiny piece of my laptop's casing fell off, so now the ethernet cable isn't fixed, and easily disconnects from small movements. It rarely happens, I mostly avoid it, but not always. I could be using wi-fi, but that has it's own random disconnect issues (which I'll probably try to fix in the future, but that's not what this question is about)

my question is, if the disconnection happens in the middle of extension updates (they have auto updates enabled), will that break the update/the extension itself? Do I need to worry about that? Or will it cancel and fully restart the update? Does it make sure that everything stays not broken, in situations like that?

it would be great to know this about browsers in general (since I occasionally use some others), but I understand this is a Firefox forum, so I don't demand answers for that.

How to edit shortcut keys for the extension- Read Aloud: A Text to Speech Voice Reader ?

When trying to assign a new shortcut of my choice, it gets deleted automatically.

I was able to do so in Chrome and Edge browsers.

Please help me to assign the same shortcut keys in Firefox also..

I apparently installed something that opens The Free Dictionary by Farlex when I double-click on a word in a web page. It's really annoying, and I don't know how to turn it off. Any suggestions?

its one request i want to ask, can you add WhatsApp Web Plus into Firefox plugins/addons?

or maybe the question is, how to add the extension that exists on chromium based browser to firefox based?

I did reach out to GitHub. They referred me to contact the Video downloader support team, which is not part of their development.

My question is addressed once again, "Third attempt?" Please give a direct reply. Firefox should have the contact information since you permitted it to be part of your browser extension.

Back to my original question posted here once again Recently, the video downloader helper stopped working with videos of YouTube links. The video downloader helper on the Firefox window is grey, meaning inactive. I tried using a video from a LinkedIn web page and was able to download it. Any suggestion? Hello, Mozilla. I really appreciate the way you think about internet access. What you stated about the app is truly reflected within it: fast connections, accurate results, and most importantly, the security. However, when it comes to advertisements, I was really expecting that whenever I watch YouTube contents, there will be no ads shown. To my surprise, ads are still there. I provided a snapshot of my desktop to give a proof about this. Is there somehow a way to get rid of them, like perhaps an extension to block ads? If there's none, that's fine as well. Thank you and high praise to the developers of this browser.

If I use extension 'Block Site' (shows up as a stop-sign shaped icon with a 'W' on it) to block a site, when I try to unblock it, it fails, with the below message:

"This operation cannot be performed in incognito mode. Please open the page in a regular browsing window and try again."

I am just clicking on the (whichever) site, from a search - not opening a private window... This extension used to work fine.

I did install DuckDuckGo browser, but removed it, as it was more trouble than it was worth. I would have to reboot my PC after each use before FireFox would connect.

Is there any addon or feature within addons management icon (from toolbar) to Disable Extensions and Apps in one-click like Chrome has via this addon?

I did a new Windows 10 install yesterday. I then added my favourite apps.

When I got Firefox installed, adjusted the settings and added my extensions (most of which I've used for years), I found a glitch.

The icons for AdBlocker Ultimate and LastPass do not show up in the Customize Toolbar menu. I keep both of these on my toolbar in the past.

I've tried restarting Firefox several times and, finally, tried running it in Troubleshoot Mode. The last, it seems, doesn't allow the use of extension.

So ... please help!

I am 82 years of age and did not grow up with the Internet. I have a total of only 8 hours of training on a PC. I have no idea how my PC got into 'safe mode' and now all of my extensions are disabled. I do not know how to exit 'safe mode' to allow the extensions to be enabled again. I tried following the instructions as provided, but to no avail.

hi, I was on the page where Firefox in recommending addons. But I click on a tap and it takes me to another page where the addon has a lot of detail explainations on the addon, but there is no where on this page to download or install the addon. How can I block the google account sign in dialog box on weather.com. I can't close it or get rid of it. It permanently obscures part of the screen. I use Windows 11 and the most current version of Firefox. This problem began within the last few months.

I installed the 4 choice AI system and used it once and was impressed. At that very same site I wanted to highlite copy and paste but when I did the highlight was so faint as to be almost invisable . After some attempts and not wanting to lose that feature I deleted the AI via mouse right click. Realizing that was not the problem I have searched several times but cannot get any further thru settings and more tools to try to Reinstall that feature . Also the sparkle button never showed with the fisrt install. It originally appeared of its own accord . Will I get the choice again when I reboot .. ? hope you can help me thanks mike
