Hello,

I'm having some problems with cookies exceptions. When I add cookies exceptions from Settings > Privacy & Security > Exceptions they do not work. When I add exceptions from that page - Page info > Permissions they work. I think there is something wrong with the Exceptions in the settings area or some hidden setting I don't see...

By default I am using private mode and blocking all cookies.

On attached image you can see first entry I added in the settings page and second from permissions menu in page info.

Would appreciate your help.

Thank you.

My Add-ons are disabled and disappear from the tool bar everytime I try to use the privacy setting of "Never Remember History"

I spent a few hours going through the troubleshooting suggestions, safe modes, clean boots, (3) reinstalls, and I have isolated the problem down to this.

If I turn on Never Remember the icons disappear from the tool bar and the custom set up and they are disabled for all intensive purposes. They still appear as installed and active on the Add-on screens.

Is there a fix for this problem ?

I always have DRM turned off as I find the concept of DRM abhorrent and unethical.

I just visited a site (music.apple.com) which gave me an alert telling me DRM was turned off and asking if I wanted to enable DRM. I found this concerning, as websites should not be able to change my settings. Curious, I clicked the button, and lo and behold, the site was somehow able to turn DRM on!

How could this happen?

My windows recently got updated with the new edge update (KB4559309), and ever since then I've been unable to connect to Google.

  • Other websites and browsers work. The issue seems to be with google.com on Firefox.
  • I'm not running any third party antivirus software
  • Time settings are correct
  • I cannot uninstall the latest update (which I believe to be the cause of the issue, as it started after that update)
  • Ran antivirus scans to see if there's any malware on my side
  • Tried resetting all browser options
  • and there's no option to bypass the warning

I would really appreciate any help on this, as I cannot get any work done as having to switch to another browser sort of slows me down a lot as I'm so used to Firefox.

Hello SUMO Team!

I always had this question but never really asked it. Why isn't DuckDuckGo or a more privacy based Search engine set as default? You even have to manually add Startpage and others...

It just hurts me how a privacy browser has the Google search engine as default after all, most people come to Firefox for privacy and Google is the opposite. Maybe one of the developers can change that?

Thank you so much for trying to help me and Stay Safe!

Hi. I've only just launched an up to date firefox as I've been using an ancient computer for years. Now Firefox monitor is saying that various accounts of mine have been breached, but i think i created some of the accounts with Facebook login details, rather than with their own passwords. You know like when it says 'Sign up with Google or Facebook' and you just click that and enter your facebook/google login. So I'm confused now. Does that mean my facebook login details have been breached? Or has doing it that way actually protected my details? Any help really appreciated, thanks so much.
