I upgraded my Dell PC to Windows 11 yesterday via Windows Update, since support for Windows 10 is ending. Now Firefox crashes often when I close the browser. Everything works fine while I'm using Firefox, it's only when I close the browser that sometime later I will get a crash message on my desktop. I have tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, and the problem persists. From what I can tell, there's some process which is ongoing after the browser is closed, which isn't terminating properly and that's why it's crashing. Had a crash earlier on my macbook that required a restart. Everything else is fine but I have lost all history and bookmark data on my firefox browser. I tried going to see if i had the wrong profile and that was not the issue. I tired recovering the bookmarks in the manage boomarks option but there were no backup files.

I have some important bookmarks i need recovered. Any help would be highly appreciated.

I was for reason having to default to LibraOffice and I really did not like that. I switched to FireFox so that I can open files through this browser instead. For some reason I download the files and it should take me to view the file in FireFox. I cannot view it at all. I wanted to be able to view the files in FireFox and then I can sync it with Google Docs and then open some of my files into google docs and I do not have to deal with LibraOffice. Why can I not view my files?

Since a recent version of Firefox was installed the picture in picture control does not work. I have unchecked the option but It still shows in YouTube etc.

I know this can be disabled in about:config but I prefer not going there. I wonder if this will be corrected sometime, otherwise the setting option is pointless.

Another item: I have unchecked the search suggestions in settings but it makes no difference.

I tried Mozilla Monitor, logging in using my Mozilla account, but it wouldn't accept my UK address. It would only accept USA addresses. So I was not able to run the scan and reach the stage where you can delete the Monitor Account

Using the same personal data, but selecting a USA location, I ran the scan and then dieted the account successfully.

As I used the same email address for each attempt does the successful deletion on the second attempt mean all my Monitor accounts have been deleted?

ChatGPT indicates that this is the case but I would welcome further advice.

Hello! Today I stuck with problem in my system: after minor package update, hardware acceleration was broke. In past, I stuck with same problem after total pc upgrade (AMD -> NVIDIA GPU, another might be unnecesary), and somehow I fixed it, but i dont remember what exactly fixed it. Can someone please help me turn hardware acceleration on this time? My searching the key arround didn`t helped, but i found in about:support line which notes that firefox unrecognized my videocard etc. My specs: kernel: 6.17.1-zen1-1-zen driver: nvidia-dkms-580.95.05-1 videocard: GTX 1080 TI DE: gnome 49 with Wayland

Tips that ive tried: Tried to make all as wrote in archwiki Tried to install an nvidia vaapi implementor Made some random steps from internet, without effect(maybe thats why hardware acceleration doesent work??)

How do I change the email account inserted by Firefox when I click on an email link?

I have previously changed the main email address (added secondary address, swapped secondary for primary, deleted secondary) but when I click an email link in a web page to write an email to the web page business, the old deleted email account is used instead of the new one. This old address is not listed at all as far as I have seen in my Mozilla Account.
