I used to be able to access all bookmarks from the Library icon on the address toolbar. Now, it only shows a list of what it labels "recent bookmarks" (the bookmarks shown are really not recent). I would like to be able to open the Library and access all bookmarks, which is the way it used to work. I will attach a screen shot to illustrate what I mean.

I'm using Firefox 100 on Win10 and can't save any bookmarks. They do NOT appear under the App Data Profile, which would not be acceptable even if they were. This change has made it impossible for me to continue using Firefox, unless I want to go back to Win7.

I simply need Bookmarks to work the way they did before!

Why is Firefox backing up my bookmarks in a json file, when Firefox itself doesn't recognise the file type when trying to restore said bookmarks? I WAS able to restore my bookmarks by converting the json file at https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/bookbackreader.html. But why can't Firefox just back up as an html file like to used to? I had to go off searching the internet for a solution, turning what should've been a 5 minute job into nearly an hour 😕

Hello, I upgraded my windows 8.1 system with firefox on it to windows 10. The windows 10 upgrade saved my windows 8.1 files. I installed firefox on windows 10. I deleted the files created by the install in the folder 'profiles'. When I copy my old firefox profile contents into that firefox profile folder, firefox does not pickup my bookmarks and extensions as I had hoped. Is it possible to get firefox to recognize my old profile contents? Thanks, Doug

Unlike Chrome, if you drag n drop a bookmark, it is saved with the url as a title. You need to click the star for the bookmark to be saved normally.

Any plans on changing that?

Newbie question: today I started out using Firefox, so bear with me.

I am trying to set the Firefox Home page to display a limited number of 'pins'. Did manage to get them there, but some other pins are automatically added (based on recent visits I suppose?) So I have 8 pins, 3 I don't want. When dismissing, I get other links instead.

Maybe this is by design and can not be changed.

Vainly search for a way to have only the few pins, that I want, show there, nothing else.

I reinstalled my computer from scratch with Windows 11, before this reinstallation I had Windows 10. Now I noticed that with the newest Firefox version 109 (that I also had before with Windows 10) and Windows 11 my multirow bookmarks toolbar doesn´t work anymore. Before the reinstallation it worked with the following code:

I already tried some other codes that I found in the internet but none of them worked. I have this code in the file userChrome.css, this file is in a chrome folder and this folder is in my profile folder. Can anybody tell me what I have to do to make the multirow bookmarks toolbar working again?

I am not too good with the computer and have just starting using Firefox. I will do my best to describe my question so please bar with me. I have 2 rows of websites that I frequent...actually only using the first row and 5 spaces in the second row. When I go to a different website Firefox is automatically adding that website to one of the boxes in the second row which I do not want. How do I stop this? Question 2...using Ebay as an example...if I keep searching on Ebay and have looked at lets say 5 different pages how do I go back to the home screen without having to hit the back button 6 times? Hi, I disabled several options in about:config, and a feature previously disappeared. When I pressed the scroll button in the diamond, it opened a tag and automatically navigated to it. Also, when there was a previously open page, and I open any bookmark (tags), the selected page opens in a new window, I want it. Please help me.

Hello, I recently downloaded Firefox and transferred all my data from Chrome to Firefox. Everything transferred well and for a day all my bookmarks were visible at the top of the page. Then I turned off bookmarks to only show on a new tab, and then later realized that the bookmarks were not being displayed on the new tab. And even when I turned bookmarks to always show on all tabs the bar is there but nothing is displayed. All my bookmarks are still in the Firefox Library and I can save new bookmarks to the library, but the bookmarks bar above still remains empty. Clicking Import and Backup in the Library and clicking Restore hasn't returned the bookmarks to the bookmarks bar. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The computers bookmarks after September 28 and before December 1 2023 are missing as well as the internet history in the mozilla browser only. I see no possible way of restoring them. I see no way to contact mozilla directly about this either.

I thought I had two different accounts. Home, with my personal email and work, with my work email. My work computer crashed a few months ago, and out IT department was able to recover all my bookmarks, but it wasn't easy, so I was told. I decided to do what I do at home and that was to create an account for work, which I did. I now have an account for home with it's own bookmarks, and email, and a work account with it's own bookmarks and totally different email. I recently got a work phone. In the process of setting it up I synced it up with my work account. when I came home tonight I got online and all my work bookmarks were on my home computer. How did this happen? Now I don't have my home bookmarks. I tried signing out and signing back in with my home account, but no luck. This is very frustrating especially since they are two totally different accounts. SO, how do I get my home bookmarks back on my home computer? Thanks
