Pre v89 Windows 10- for some reason, one of my bookmark folders, containing many subfolders and individual bookmarks, has disappeared from my bookmarks toolbar. interestingly, the lost Bookmark folder it does appear on my android phone. Is there some way of finding it on my desktop and restoring it from there, or possibly restoring it from my phone? I would think I would like to try to do this before installing version 89. Thanks in advance.

How Do I Shrink Recent Bookmarks Dropdown List ? I don't NEED or WANT to see a list of ALL my "RECENT" (unorganized) bookmarks. I can't find an option to activate the "dropdown" function in either main preferences or menu customizing. If I "remove" them from the list, they are also removed from where they were saved as a bookmark. If the answer is, "This can't be done.", then I am DONE WITH FIREFOX.

Can I restore the save location "Other Bookmarks" as the default folder?
This poster in [JAN 2021] seems to think not:
"In Firefox 85+ always the last used folder is selected, so if you do not want this behavior then you still have to select another folder each time you create a new bookmark."

For sites I use daily, I used to copy the URL and paste it on my menu bar, where it shows the Icon and the url, then I right-click to get properties and delete the url so I'm only left with the Icon, however with the latest version of firefox, when I right-click, the Properties is missing in the drop down menu, why?

I used to have the bookmarks sidebar open whenever I open Firefox. Now Firefox always opens without the sidebar. I have to click on the sidebar icon every time I want to open the sidebar. The sidebar stays open when I open new tabs. But when I close then open Firefox, the sidebar is not there. Must be a change with one of the updates. Is there a way to set the sidebar to always open when opening Firefox? Maybe in about:config?

Just today 7/17/21 my bookmarks toolbar disappeared but I was able to restore it. But all the saved bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar that always appeared in Bookmarks Toolbar don't appear in the Bookmarks Toolbar column. AND when I try to add bookmarks to the bookmark toolbar a circle with a line through it appear preventing me from adding bookmarks. Couldn't find any solutions online in Firefox Help websites. Does anyone have a solution to restore saved bookmarks to bookmarks toolbar and add new bookmarks like I have always done? Thank you.

The appearance of my bookmarks has recently changed, and I want to change it back. The individual bookmarks are spread out more, so now they take up more space on my screen and I need to scroll the list. I don't need the extra space, I find it annoying and not at all necessary. I have included images of how it looks now and (a doctored image, granted) approximately how it looked before. I've looked all over and I can't find anything on "Appearance of bookmarks".
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I was switching my browser from Brave, a chrome based browser, back to Firefox because Brave doesn't can't run some of the stuff my uni learning management system (LMS). I tried importing my browser bookmarks and passwords to Firefox but the importing feature on Firefox doesn't show Brave as one of the browsers it can take the data from. I want to know if there's anyway I can fix this or if there's no hope for importing data from chromium browsers to Firefox.

On bootup yesterday, Firefox was a whole new animal?! 1) I had 12 or more pinned tabs which are now all not displayed/missing! 2) Had three rows thumbnail bookmarks displayed when Firefox opened which are not displayed/gone now! 3) Firefox would give a popup message that "Gah...tab (whatever), Reopen tab or Restart Firefox". This would typically occur late afternoon (FWIW, Eastern Standard Time). Only way to get Firefox to stay open was to reboot the system.
Not sure what has changed but would like to get back to where I was a week or so ago with Firefox. Please advise.
