These are the pictures I get recently ... tiny. Micromised. Unsure if I accidentally hit a "micromise" button, but all of the sudden, the normal view became tiny.

Also, many a time by myself and others told: When browsing picture sites such as Deviantart, Pinterest, even Google Pictures, Firefox severely slows down up to even dead stop after a while. Though several versions have passed, this issue still remains.

Clearing Cache, or using DelTempDir/FlushDNS doesn't help at all, once it begins to slow, only full restart of FF helps, but this ain't always an option. It almost seems that the memory is filling up by the feeds of these sites, and just cannot be cleared, no matter what.

Using a Memory tool ALSO runs nowhere.

Please assist?

Thank you.

With the latest update of Firefox, my laptop, which is a high end DELL, is experiencing big difficulties just running a Firefox with 3 tabs open. the CPU usage is skyrocketing and it is also heavy on the memory. I am running the same 3 tab on the same websites as I have been doing for the past 6 months, but since the latest Firefox update, this has become impossible. What happened to Firefox? I have had no other significant updates but the Firefox update.

Hi there,

When using my Thinkpas X13s trackpoint to scroll 'sideways' with the Trackpoint+middle mouse button (i.e. from left to right) a new blank Firefox window opens up. So, when trying to scroll downwards all is well but the slight deviation and Firefox opens many new windows. I mean, many (like 5, because of the 'continuous' scroll).

Community solutions have as of yet not brought any luck. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hello. I un-installed Microsoft Edge and Office 365 and now Firefox has stopped working (on another computer not this one).

This is the same problem that someone reported in 2021, but that thread has been archived.

https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1356550

The advice then was to re-install Firefox and to download Visual C++ \ Visual Studio files ( especially VCRuntime1401.dll).

My problem is that I don't have a browser on that computer, I am completely cut off from the internet and can't download anything.

Is it possible to download the necessary files on this computer and transfer them to the one that has the problem? Thanks.

I have been using firefox for a while but recently stopped working at first i thought it was connection issues, but, that isnt the case. I have had to update my mac to macos monterey 12.6 and firefox refuses to load any website. Keeps saying the connection has timed out and following message:

. This site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. . If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection. . If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

It's frustrating. Any help on this please?!

According to https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/8k3sq4/firefox_updated_to_6001_and_the_search_box_is_no/ there's something wrong with userchrome.css in the profile but that file should be patched if that's the case.

Why this hasn't been patched since it's introduction in version 60 is beyond me.

Hi, long time listener first time caller.

A site that I visit quite regularly, https://www.bunnings.com.au/ , has suddenly stopped loading in the Firefox browser. Below is a screenshot of the webpage as it loads now. I have run the "Troubleshoot firefox" and disabled all add-ons and still no go. Firefox is up to date (new up date today 22/04/2021- Australia) All other sites I visit load fine. https://www.bunnings.com.au/ loads with no issues in Chrome (I don't use Chrome because I find it less customisable than Firefox) I have been using Mozilla since the Netscape Navigator days. The error message is in the very top left corner. You can see the chat window loads but can't be accessed. Browser version is 88.0 (64bit)

Hope you can help

Thanks

I rarely ask for help and try on my own and frequently help others, but I have a problem that I cannot solve and need your help, please.

I have tried the typical things such as restarting, starting in safe mode, refreshing, reinstalling, uninstall and delete folders and profiles then re-install, uninstall and delete folders and profiles and remove all Mozilla/FF entries in the registry then reinstall. No plugins or addons installed.

I tried disabling my anti-virus software.

I have FF version 87.0 64 bit version and even tried with an older 32 bit version. My OS is Windows 10 version 20H2 OS Build 19042.928. Both are the latest versions at the time of this post.

Regardless of what I try, my problem below persists:

When I start FF it almost starts but hangs. I can see it listed in the Task Manager. There is a little activity with Memory and CPU usage for a few seconds then no more. I cannot End Task if I try. It will hang like this for hours. Eventually I will get the home screen. If I attempt to visit a website right away it hangs (two dots blinking left & right like a school bus in the tab). If I do not try to visit a website but wait for a few more hours it will usually connect and be OK. However, if I open a new tab or Private Window I have the same problem in the new one.

Once it is up and running it appears to be working normally except for the new tabs. I have been hibernating my computer with FF open rather than shut down so that I can use it the next day. However, after a number of hours or on another day it will suddenly hang again for an unknown reason. Then I reboot and start the procedure all over.

I have tried every fix I can think of for FF. The problem may be an issue with Windows, but Microsoft has no bulletins or fixes for this one. I have updated to the latest build/version but nothing has changed. Very frustrating.

Any suggestions beyond the things I have already tried would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Danke
