Over the last week or so my personal websites (such as Banking, Amazon, Facebook, etc.) suddenly started asking for (text or email) verification to sign in successfully. This only happens after a restart. (Sometimes I run a 'restart to untangle some glitch - but some Windows updates do a restart automatically.) And I have to go through all the verification stuff again! VERY ANNOYING!! Some MS tech this morning had me uncheck Cookies and other data in the Privacy and security category. But that didn't help. I just did a restart and AGAIN my bank(s) websites asked for a texted CODE. So did Facebook, and Amazon. Once I complete the CODE requirement it stays good until the next restart. And when I went to change that "cookies" option was nowhere to be found (to change it back) In SETTINGS>PRIVACY & SECURITY - NOW shows just the green button and box that says "STANDARD". I don't want or need this annoying added verification on every site that I use daily. I don't know exactly how or when this started...(maybe about a week ago).

After moving home from college Firefox no longer works. I can open the browser, and it doesn’t crash, but websites will not load and I can’t search anything. The weather data says it is not available. I have tried everything. Uninstall and reinstall, reset, scanned for malware, reset DNS on my computer, cleared cache both on Firefox and on my pc. If I open up Chrome websites work fine. When I reset Firefox through the uninstall window, it works but if I close that and reopen it it is broken again. I am beyond frustrated and any guidance would be much appreciated.

All of a sudden I am unable to login to ingramspark.com It just keeps spinning but never gets past this page where I can enter my username and password info.

video downloadhelper is not saving the videos to vdhelper folder any longer. how do I change the folder location for only the video downloadhelper. its going straight to download folder.

I am unable to bookmark anything. Some suggestions are to open a new table then type about: profile and then hit restart. When I do that DuckDuck then searches profile.

what it says on the tin. went data purging with ol reliable WinDirStat and found this absolute behemoth of a file in the profiles directory for firefox. its especially weird considering the entire Firefox directory itself is only 1.5GB with this menace taking 1.3 of it. I cant imagine that bookmarks, search history, passwords, the works takes up any more than about 300mb. so im wondering if im just stuck in the early days of data or if the file really is just that girthy.

need to be able to download my old sites. and stop getting error 522 can not connect to some sites due to not secure anymore... help need to watch some movie sites.. Jose

it seems that every time i enter a website it searches thru yahoo

Many URLs and hosts automatically reload pages. For example, when I am reading a multi-page article and am several pages in, the page often reloads and I have to start all over again and try find the place where I left off reading. "Stop Auto Reload" is a Firefox extension that is supposed to allow the user to stop the auto-reloading that many URLs and hosts execute, but it does not always work. It seems to work on some sites, but not on others. I have not found any other extensions so far that address this. Any assistance with this problem is greatly appreciated. -Neil
