How can I edit the userChrome.css to only show the icon and the close button for tabs that are neither selected nor hovered over? I still want the normal tab size to be displayed for the one / two tabs that are currently selected / hovered over like is default behaviour. I am basically looking for what is provideded on this github page, however with the closing icon and only for unselected tabs that I am not hovering over.

I have a site where I need to download 250 licenses individually for products I own. Each link is the same exact text "Download License". Is it possible search for that term *and* somehow be able to "click" it using the keyboard instead of the mouse? I could fly through this process if I didn't have to use the mouse.

When Firefox 96.0.2 was installed on my Windows 10 computer my bookmarks tab went from white to black. The only way that I was able to get the white back was to change my Firefox Persona.

I would like to be able to use my previous Firefox Persona but until a fix is produced I have to use a Persona which is not my preferred choice.

This is both a request for help and information to those looking for a short term fix.

I have an issue with programs that change my settings without my permission. Every now and then the print dialog screen is changed and I have to go to about:config and reset the "print_tab modal to "false", I think. I say that because neither setting fixes the problem.

I am setting up a homepage called bento and every time I open the page it shows "Allow this local file to access your location?" with no "always allow" function. Anyone got any ideas?

I use "always ask" for mp4 files in gmail - it used to work fine, but now it opens file if I select MS Media player AND IT SAVES the blasted file to my Downloads as well ! ....which I don't want it to do.

I'm just trying to NOT have Firefox open my last session when I open it up after rebooting Linux. I've tried many chosen solutions on this site but nothing is working. Here are the settings I've tried with no success (note that I have tried each one individually with a restart between):

"Open previous windows and tabs" is unchecked. "browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes" is 0. "browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand" is false. "browser.sessionstore.restore_tabs_lazily" is false. "browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash" is false. "browser.startup.couldRestoreSession.count" is 0 but it sets itself back to 1. "sessionstore-windows-restored" within "sessionCheckpoints.json" in the profile folder is false but sets itself back to true. Deleting "sessionCheckpoints.json" does nothing. I don't have "user.js" in my profile folder.

I reinstalled firefox because it was not loading any pages, and although that problem is solved, now I can't get container tabs to work. Even if I reinstall it, restart Firefox, or disable/reenable it, I can't get it to work. Anyone know what I can do? Should I just reinstall firefox again?

I often misspell "the" as "hte", and other similar typos where (usually the first) two letters are opposite hands of the keyboard and my right hand it slightly faster than my left. Awhile ago, I accidentally hit ADD TO DICTIONARY instead of the THE to correct it. I have also just did it again with a similar typo.

Everything I can find online says there should be a persdict.dat file in my Profile folder, but it is nowhere to be found. I have searched my entire C: drive (including hidden files) for persdict and nothing was found. Has it been moved? OR is there some other way to delete that? Maybe even just a "Delete ALL" added words to go back to the default, since I have never purposely added any words to the dictionary? Since it IS a word I misspell a lot, I really need it to flag it again so I notice it.

To be clear, I am not talking about any add on dictionary or extension. Just whatever Firefox uses by default for filling in forms.

Why did Mozilla remove the disabled add-on fixes for older Firefox versions & where are they now?

Mozilla created them, made them available, advertised them & their location but after a short while removed them!! WTF?!?!?

In particular I'm looking for the disabled-add-on-fix-52-56. Please put all three of them back online for Firefox users ASAP.

When I download an attachment from my emails, why does it automatically download to my desktop when it opens? I think it all started when I did an update with Firefox? So all the attachments that I opened up all week are on my desktop, and I did not realize it :( I usually click on the arrow on the attachment I open it up in Adobe Reader, then if I want to save it to

the desktop, I do Save As.

I went to settings tried everything still on the desktop. Please tell me what to change, PLEASE!

I got a trouble with UserChrome-Tweaks

Any of the tweaks are good for me except of one trouble. While playing a video on Youtube I can see the bug picture. Something causes this bug on playing video. How to fix it in my Firefox 95.0.2 version? (I turned the updates off for good by now)

What am I supposed to do? o_O

May anyone give me right answer?

What are they talking about and does it apply to Firefox?

Decades ago, in SETTINGS, under SETTINGS/HOMEPAGE "HOME" option and NEW WINDOWS", we could add more than one URL to open a NEW PAGE/BROWSER but now it seems it will only open ONE URL, I need three URL's on the new starting page. Was this options changed?

Back in the old days of classic extensions, they had access to FF's GUI elements, provided such privileges were asked in a manifest file.

For example, there were extensions that added tab's title to the URL bar. And I want to do exactly that nowadays, too.

WebExtensions can not do that but this should work with userChrome.js, right?

If so, maybe someone has already done it and I simply could not find it. Does anybody know?

If not, then how do I access the URL bar object to add text (e.g. page's title) to it or something else?

Since couple days ago, Firefox started to put "about:home" in the address bar when pressing alt+home. How can I get back the blank (ready to type) address bar? Holding backspace all the time is quite annoying :P

I'm having a really hard time trying to put proper terms into my request. Please bear with me.

I believe it's a version or two ago that Firefox started imposing an arbitrary limit on how long I could explore in a pulldown bookmarks menu before it disappeared. I believe that earlier this wasn't the case: that once I was searching around among bookmarks they would be available to me to mouse around in for as long as I needed. Now they self-retract after a few seconds.

Is there a hidden pref to remove or greatly increase the time before the automatic withdrawal of bookmark menus while in use occurs?

I hope I'm being clear about this. I'm sure my terminology is less than accurate.
