FF 153.0b4 this time, was only a few months ago when FF did this same thing last time! But now its an updated ver and still messing up! It's getting more bloated (But most software is) and trying to do to much and things are going WRONG alot more often. FF (Mozilla) used to go years between data losses and now it's MONTHS! Get your act together Mozilla.

    FF wasn't even updating it self, and I haven't changed anything in days. Worked fine yesterday but when I opened it today, the 4 windows opened but they didn't want to open there tabs (most of them have less than a dozen). The main window showed my menu bar, recent browsing icon and a mostly blank tab bar except for the new tab on the far right, none of the other tabs were loading or even showing up, but the space was there for them. I even just left it sit there and chew on things for about 15 minutes before I decided to exit out (file/exit) and try again. This time my other 3 windows loaded just fine but the main window with around 2 dozen tabs was BLANK! and NO recovery options! Recently closed tabs does show tabs I closed on it before the meltdown but NONE from the LOSS. Nightly does not show any in the Tab sync either (but it may not have been up long enough to sync). There is a previous window, but that is not the one I need to recover (Ironic that it will save a window with 65 tabs closed a week ago and let me recover it but it won't let me recover a window with only a couple dozen tabs from a couple hours ago). Wish I could remember how to wright complicated batch files, then I could make one that would back up the profiles after I close FF, that way when it screws up I could just copy the last backup in place and be working again. And all I would need to do is just put a time code in the profile name to make incremental backups and decide how long to keep them for with out over writing. SEE how SIMPLE that would be for you to do Mozilla? It's been how many years that you've been working on FF and it's predecessor and still no profile backup and restore? And to make things worse, most of the databases used are encrypted in some way so as to be NOT user friendly. We can't even import an old backup or profile parts if we need to recover something or look at something. You make it SO hard to recover from a crash when one happens (and they happen more often than they used to) and even just to back up our info even if we could recover it. You were a great browser, now you are broken and barely adequate bloat ware and getting worse. Problem is that your still better than chrome and edge crap.

okay firefox crashed ive been using it for 3 years on steam os . it ussually crashes normally if that makes sense but this time it went poof . it saved one window containing all my browse history bookmarks dverything , i succsessfully transfered the crashed windows to kate windows containing 2.1 megabytes of extremely important data - riht before it crashed again. i am extremely frustrated , it erased all knowledge of me ever being on firefox erasing history bookmarks log ins everything. it is extremely imperative that i get these windows back . ive been battling with ai to fix the problem my last resort is you guys the ones who made firefox. id like to think you guys built something for this exact occasion . please help, you are my last resort and i would be overjoyed if you can help , thank you ,

Please for the love of all things holy... Tell me how I can restore my windows from my previous PC? I'm taking waaaaaayyyyyy to long just to get my windows sessions back... Also, why on earth did you remove the delete button from the search engines in settings? I need Google gone!!!

Hello, I've got a problem with my account after something log me off the account for no reason then I put in new password and boom nothing my all passwords are gone please these passwords are really important for me, I need them back and I will be thankful if I could get any advice how to get them back because I had something around 100 of them now I got one only one please help me out im freaking out.

I recently purchased a new desktop due to the previous desktop malfunctioning a bit. The old hdd is still in operating condition and is now a slave in my new cpu. Where can I find the history/bookmarks on the old drive? Is there a filename that is relevant for the data?

and how do I fix it so I can restore previous sessions I accidentally close? I accidentally deleted all prior data from whatever version of Firefox I was using the other day (I didn't have a profile as far as I'm aware) removing all saved passwords, bookmarks, history, and apparently the Restore function.

2021 Macbook Pro Sequoia 15.7.4 Firefox 152.0.3 (aarch64)

i had two different firefox browsers yesterday. I deleted one but all my passwords are gone from the other browser. When the firefox browser got uninstalled it created a backup on my desktop called bookmarksback up. how can i move that file into this new firefox and how can I retrieve those passwords?

I removed the solid-state SSD drive from my physically-broken Windows 10 HP laptop and connected it to my new Windows 11 HP laptop using an external adapter, wanting to move the contents to my new machine. But already I find that only about 3/4 of my bookmarked browsing favorite sites and document files are among the items that I can find on the old, externally-connected "D" drive (D:>USER>OWNER>FAVORITES). I tried visiting some of the bookmarked sites and hitting "bookmark this page" for each, but then none showed up on my new Windows 11 machine's firefox browser bookmarks sidebar. Perhaps they are being put elsewhere because I am opening these sites from my old drive??

I probably need to first understand if and how much that the two drives are still operating separately, so not cooperating with each other in the way I had hoped. I know next to nothing about any of these things but have used the Firefox browser and documents files for many years without too many issues.

gerald.r.vargas 4. Aug. 2026, 08:23 GMT-6 Hi, this morning for some reason all the tabs I had open couldn't been loaded. Refreshening the page didn't help either. So I decided to shut down and restart my laptop.

Unfortunately after restarting Firefox only one page and its tabs have been reloaded.  All the others were gone. 

After trying about:support and session:restore it didn't help either, because only the 4th of Aug. was available. Is there a possibility for a session restore from the 03rd of Aug? or the previous days? If anybody has an idea, how to do so, please let me know.

I had two Firefox tabs open in my lower task bar. I closed out one but it was the wrong one. The one I unpinned has all of my tabs, history and book marks. I can't figure out how to recover it.

What the hell has happened to the support environment? I've tried to resolve two big issues recently, and I can't find anything of value. I've lost the ability to pin an extension to the toolbar after losing my entire profile on this computer, tabs and all, using Tab Manager. I can't find a way to recover the profile, so I've given up on that. Now I can't get my most-used extensions back on the toolbar.

1- Firefox shows I have windows 10. Not so. I have windows 11 home, version 25H2. This may be problem that causes the issues. 2- Since Update months ago, profiles, bookmarks and passwords disappear constantly only for me to replace manually the bookmarks and passwords to disappear over and over again. Don't need multiple profiles just one that works as in the good old days. Used it for years but cannot find help and ready to delete and just use microsoft edge. Totally out of patience. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
